I will tell you what I had found there: The future. WaveMax Laundry is very clean both outside and inside. Absolutely nothing was dirty or even smudged on the tables and floors. What I thought was interesting, were the number of machines they had available, which is a plus. The rolling baskets were also in good supply. The young lady behind the counter was very friendly and helpful. She showed me where to purchase a WaveMax Laundry card, how to operate the washer, the dryer, and their settings. She had pointed to a machine which sanitized the water which was used in the washing process. I washed a large load and it only took 21 minutes. Drying was even quicker, as long as you have it on the right setting. My clothes came out clean, sanitized, and (eventually) dry. Unfortunately, I did not take advantage of the free wifi or the snack machine. They do offer detergent, fabric softeners and dryer sheets for a price. The dryer sheets came in handy, because it was the one item I had forgotten. WaveMax Laundry is what a future-focused laundromat should be, in my opinion. I would encourage anyone to give this place a try. It will be worth your time!

Not a lot of seating so be prepared to wait in your car - bring a book or something. I find it a relaxing wait. People are respectful about waiting for you to come empty your machine, especially if using one of the larger machines. I've used this place 3 or 4 times and I've been consistently happy. I recall at one point they had a sign saying they had laundry/dry cleaning services but I didn't see it this visit.

The dress shirt I brought in…read morehad a light stain around the collar which I pointed out and asked for the rest of the shirt to be spot checked. I was told "no problem." When I picked it up, while waiting for her to run my card, I noticed the collar was significantly dirtier, like the stitching was dark yellow against the white material and there were huge dark yellow stains all over the collar. When I pointed it out (because she sure didn't), she got defensive and continued to run my card, saying something about how they clean 200 shirts per day. When I asked that she at least not charge me for "cleaning" the dirty shirt, she eventually offered to try again, but wanted me to sign something letting them off the hook if the shirt was ruined with stronger chemicals. Um, no. It was a $60 shirt worn once. I paid, but brought the shirt to a different dry cleaner and it came back perfect. No problems at all. They said the solution was probably not changed enough at the first place. Oh, and they're expensive and they don't take coupons.

Most frequently, we take in my husband's suit jackets and trousers for work, but I have also trusted them with sweaters, silk, and even my wedding dress. I would say their prices are on the higher end of fair -- which is still substantially lower than a big popular dry cleaning chain that I looked into. Recently we moved to a different neighborhood, and I felt sad that Jansi would no longer be convenient for us. However, thanks to other Yelp reviews (including a good one that is hidden for some reason), I realized that we could use Jansi's free pick-up and drop-off service instead! So we're going to give that a try, and I am very happy to be supporting a small family owned business, especially one that I have enjoyed working with for so many years already.
