While poking around West Virginia I kept looking for some of the boys from "Moonshiners"... Was hoping to randomly run-in-to... Maybe in Elkins... Next, I was driving along the I-79 and saw the sign for Moonshine... I called to make sure they were open due to 'Rona, 'Rona... About 15-minutes later rolled up, (no banjos - so we're good), greeted by a very friendly dog... Had some samples, really nice stuff... Picked up a few bottles. The Moonshine and Whiskey are really, really good. Smooth! Like a babies behind. Yes I would recommend. Yes I would go back.

We saw the signs off Interstate 79 and just got lucky as we got there 1/2 before closing on Mother's Day Sunday! The owner let my wife feed the baby wild Turkey's while I was taste testing with his son. The facility was way cool and modern for being out in the middle of nowhere. Also note to mention this is an 11 mile ride off of interstate 79 thru farm land with narrow roads so if your use to city driving be careful. I'm not a Vodka drinker so I was down to tasting the Moonshine and whiskies. I'm not a Red Bull drinker so the cinnamon whiskey was out for me. The moonshine is truly amazing on what I imagined moonshine should taste like. One of the other things that made me wonder after I left was the bottles were pretty heavy duty which probably is why the prices were a bit steep. I would like to see something a little more gimmicky like a Watermelon, Peach, pineapple or mango moonshine in a 1/2 gallon mason jar or hill Billy Jug. I'll definitely be back if I'm ever in the neighborhood!

Gina and OJ were very knowledgeable they explained every spirit to our satisfaction and to our taste buds delights. We enjoyed the ladies conversation and our new friends input. I may even be able to bike the trail next summer with this Wonderful place as my end destination.

We arrived and the woman asked if we were part of the tour. She said there is room. But then said it's with an existing group of 12 people. I said oh nah we aren't interested. Thought it was randoms etc; We sampled 6 different whiskeys. Up to 6 if you can't obtain all. I had all that was almost available. The bourbon, Rye and Lime cello was my favorites. The owner does a good job and explained how they started and what they were using and were going to use. Asked if he sold his barrels after use. He said no because he will use at the cidery and vice versa. He was very nice and looked a lot like Kurt Surter, the creator of Sons of Anarchy. The bourbon is $75 a bottle. Think it's because it's 6 years old. I was in hope they had the 6 year old apple brandy but they didn't. Wanted to try it out. This place is very eas to miss. Remember there is a large parking lot next door that helps.
