UPDATE: I sent this email to WNC 8 days ago in response to their factually incorrect reply and give…read morethem a chance to correct it or reimburse me for the $10,000 difference they stated in their response, and have not received an answer, yet another example of poor communication and customer service on their part: "The total quotes you gave me #2223, 2224, 2225, 2226 totaled $38,331.68. The total amount I ended up paying you was $31,365.69, ($3420.50 invoice #4129, $3279.50 invoice #4128, $6583.00 invoice #4127, $5652.50 invoice #4126, check #504 $12,430.19) a difference of $6,965.99, not the $17,000 you said in the response to my review. The difference in price was due to us having to change the fireplace order because your employees measured incorrectly, not because you gave any discount from the damage or inconvenience. The cleaning and repairs were due to your company's negligence, and thank you for acknowledgement of that." I don't wish to argue this in the public space but only want to warn others that this is what could happen to them if WNC fails to do their job correctly again. I would discourage using them for any major project. ORIGINAL REVIEW (shortened for space): I wish I could say that my experience with WNC Chimney was anything but a series of disappointments and frustrations. Unfortunately, from start to finish, dealing with this company was nothing short of a nightmare. Let's start with the timeline. The initial agreement, as discussed with Tristan, was to have all work completed before my move into my newly purchased home on August 14th. However, the actual start date was pushed back to August 21st. We never knew day to day if they would be here, calls and texts weren't returned. What was initially promised to be a 6-day job extended into what was an endless ordeal, with the latest completion date being slated for November 13th, a staggering 84 days since the job commenced. We finally asked them to stop the job, remove their things and leave the premises with the job not finished. But it's not just about missed deadlines. The incompetence displayed by WNC was astounding. From botching the initial chimney measurement to the negligent behavior of the employees during the job, every step seemed to bring about a new disaster. Failure to properly cover my floors and furniture, turn off the HVAC and secure the area meant that soot from 100 year old chimney infiltrated every corner of our home and freshly painted white walls, necessitating extensive cleaning and even forcing us to seek alternative accommodation due to health concerns. After 5 days Ande finally arranged for ServPro to come and clean up the damage, it took 12 people from ServePro 3 days to clean up the mess that WNC left. The manager at ServPro told me that it looked like we had a house fire without the fire. The aftermath of their shoddy workmanship has been both financially and emotionally draining. We've had to invest in air purifiers, cleaning supplies, and professional services to rectify the damage caused. Our furniture, floors, and personal belongings were damaged, with some items requiring expensive replacements or repairs that we shouldn't have had to bear. We had to have the area around the fireplace repainted due to the scratches, our front porch had to be re-stained because they didn't cover the porch when they did show up and tracked soot in and out for weeks. When we had the 2nd company come to repair the job that WNC did they found that the both of the 3" liners for the fireplace insert were never properly connected to the cap. Both liners had unnecessary extensions pieces foil taped to each other, and lacked a hose clamp / screws to secure to the appropriate connection of the cap. To add insult to injury, there was never a mention of compensation for the additional expenses incurred or the unimaginable stress we've been subjected to. In fact they demanded a restock fee from us when we asked them to remove the partially completed job. We refused. It's clear that customer satisfaction is not a priority for WNC

Warning! Do not trust Bradley Parkhurst. Instead, pray for him. He came to our house the beginning…read moreof October 2025, gave us an estimate for repairing the crack in the crown and installing an insert. We accepted the proposal, signed a contract, and he said I had to make a $500 downpayment so he could order the chimney liner. I wrote him a check, which he cashed immediately. He texted a few days later and said it was backordered. Then no contact. I called and left a voicemail message after a week, then texted after two weeks. Finally in November someone texted me back saying Bradley was away on family emergency. I left him alone over the holidays and contacted him again the first week of January 2026 by texting, and got no response. I left another voicemail the next day, no response. I also left him a message in the Yelp app - always expressing my condolences. The last time I called him, it directly hung up, so apparently he blocked my phone number. Running a small business can be hard, and they can experience hard times. I've always been friendly and understanding, giving Bradley the benefit of any doubt. I wish he were just honest if he needed to use my money to get by temporarily and would commit to honoring our contract eventually. Instead he stole our money and is avoiding me. It's between him and God now, except I strongly suggest you avoid this business so you're not hurt as well. Now I have a cracked chimney that is leaking and no money to repair it.
