Not only was it midnight, but the entire conversation had been completed via messages , so why wouldn't this information be told via messages? This made me feel extremely uneasy. In addition, I had to ask multiple times about licensing. In short - watch yourself. Be aware. If something seems off, it probably is. One Vacuum needed a new handle lock and release push bottom which broke, and the other Kenmore Vacuums Roller Brush was not moving. So I took both vacuums to Mike's Vacuum Repair in Beaumont, CA at 1390 East 6th Street. I called the Sears Appliance Repair store on Ramsey Street in Banning first because I had 2 Sears Kenmore Vacuum's. But I was on hold for 22 minutes before someone answered me. Then that lady transferred me to the Service department where I was on hold for another 25 minutes, and no one ever answered me. So I hung up ! When I called Mike's Vacuum Repair in Beaumont at 951-769-6944, Natalie Mike's Mom answered the phone right away and was one of the nicest and knowledgeable ladies I have ever talked with at an appliance repair store. I then took my 2 Vacuums to Mike's Vacuum Repair store and talked with Mike personally about what was happening with my Vacuums. The next day I received a call back from Natalie telling me that my Vacuums were ready to be picked up. When I got to the store Mike came out and explained that because the vacuums were very old, he could not get a new Handle Lock and Release Push Bottom part for one of my Vacuums. But he said to fix the problem for me, he hand made a new spring loaded Handle Release Bottom and installed it on my Vacuum. For the 2nd Vacuum Mike showed me a small white bottom on the side of the Vacuum where the side hose is attached, that was not pushed in and explained to me that was the reason why the Roller Brush was not working. Mike thoroughly checked and cleaned both Vacuums and made the one repair, but when I asked him how much my bill for his work was, he said ZERO. That's correct 0, NOTHING ! He said because he could not put on any new parts and that the one Vacuum was just a knowledge mistake that I did not know about, my bill was ZERO ! Mike is one of the most Honest, Sincere, and Down To Earth people I have ever met. He really cares about doing the " Right Things For People". Mike also repairs Small Appliances, and Guitars. Yes Guitars ! Mike has been doing repairs for Restaurants and Customers for over 10 years. What a great place to take your Household Cleaners, Vacuums, Small Appliances, or Guitars for Service. I was assigned Appliance Repair Experts from American Home Shield to come and repair my GE washer…read more The repair guy, Yan, came out and diagnosed what he said was most likely the Logic Board. He then ordered the parts. When the parts finally came in, Yan returned to install the new parts. He installed the Logic Board but the Lid Lock switch, he said was not the correct switch. So either Yan ordered the wrong part or was sent the wrong part. Although, the Logic Board seemed, (and I say "seemed") to fix the problem. But, instead of Yan recording the correct Lid Lock switch and coming back at a later time, Yan just said it's fixed and left. Soon after that, there started an intermittent problem with the Lid Lock switch that would cause the washer not to work. When I managed to "hit" the Lid Lock switch and "jiggle" the switch, then the washer would work. Calling Appliance Repair Experts and explained to them what was happening, they scheduled for Yan to come back out. When he came out, then the washer washer was working properly but I showed him the video I recorded showing the detailed of the problem. Instead of ordering a new Lid Lock switch that he originally ordered before and got the wrong switch, he just said that unless he can see the problem he could not do anything, even though I showed him video proof of the problem. He just seemed to be in a hurry to leave. I emailed the video to Appliance Repair Experts and when the problem returned, I videoed the problem again and emailed that one to Appliance Repair Experts. They said they would get back to me, which they did not and I had to call them again to tell them the washer was still not fixed and they needed to fix it. They informed me that they had ordered parts and will contact me to schedule another time to come and install those parts. After two weeks, I still had not heard from Appliance Repair Experts and asked them what was going on and when will they finally come and fix my washer. They said that they only got some of the parts in and were still waiting for the rest of the parts. Another week went by and still nothing. I called again and they said that they were still waiting for parts. I asked, how long does it take for the parts to come in. They just said that they would call me when they come in and schedule a time to come and install them. The next day they finally called, said the rest of the parts came in and scheduled a time to come out and install them. So, again, Yan came out and I could sense a bit of an attitude from him, but I just ignored it because I wanted my washer fixed. Yan spent about 2-1/2 hours and changed parts. When I looked, I didn't see the Lid Lock switch and told him that I don't seen it. Instead of him telling me that the new switch was a newer version, he got real snooty and accused me of calling him a liar. She should have just told me it was a newer style and showed me the difference instead of getting snooty. Well, to make this review complete, the washer seems to be working, so far. I'm waiting and seeing if the problem is fixed and doesn't come back. In my view, if Yan would have just reordered the correct Lid Lock switch and installed it, this issue would not have happened.
