This has become my lifeline to a healthier life! I started June 1, 2019 with swimming to get my body moving again. Then at the end of July I started with Personal Training 2x's a week. They have everything here to help you get the results you are looking for and it quickly feels like home. Everyone is so inviting and wonderful. I want to thank a few people that have helped me achieve my results so far... Deb & Madeleine for the Swim Classes which really helped me get a good base going, and bring me back from doing nothing to something!!! I will be back swimming again in April when the pool reopens. Ian (who is back at school) was my first trainer at the JCC and his compassionate enthusiasm made me want to keep coming. Chris Hintz, you are my everything right now!!!! You have challenged me in every way to do hard things and to keep going when those hard things feel insurmountable. Your attention to detail and serious concern for me making it to my finish (maintain) line healthy and without injury is why I trust you and your belief in my potential. Your sessions leave me sweating my face off, and moving faster and harder than I thought possible!!!!! And, my most recent contributor Nick O. the one helping me lift heavy things powerfully. Nick, you clearly love powerlifting and make me want to love it too! Our sessions are slower, and about moving one thing concisely, and I always feel beast mode afterward!!!! Today's benchmark -30lbs & -7%bf and I look forward to continuing this journey with you all at APJCC for 100 more lbs crushed!

Noelle's Yelp Notebook 2016 January 1, 2016 The Addison Penzak Jewish Community Center is located in Los Gatos, California. Last year my mom suggested we enroll her grandson in Preschool at the JCC. There are several types of membership: Full Social Corporate Network (allows access all 5 Bay Area JCC locations) In order to have your child at the Addison Penzak JCC Preschool you need to be current members at the JCC. We opted for full membership at the JCC which allows members to access the gym, pool, preschool, and discounts on varies activities within the community center. The JCC is clean and well maintained on the community center side and preschool area. There is security on both the JCC and preschool entrances, access is granted with our membership cards. Staff and security at the JCC are professional, kind and welcoming. - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - Addison Penzak JCC Preschool - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - Before my mom passed away in November of 2015, she was able to accompany me several times in picking up her little LoveBug from preschool, visit her grandson's preschool classroom and meet his teachers. I'm grateful that my mom encouraged us to enroll Ian at the JCC preschool, it was one of the best decisions we've made. The teachers and assistants are professional, warm and kind. The classrooms are clean and well organized. I grew up in an interfaith family (Catholic & Jewish); it's nice to see my son learning about Judaism and learning some Hebrew. You don't need to be Jewish to attend the preschool. More than half of my son's preschool class isn't Jewish. There are children from all different faiths in my son's preschool class. Preschool is part-time and if you need extended care they offer before and after school day care. APJCC Preschool is billed monthly and all families are locked into a ten month contract. The tuition is pricy but it's pretty much the going rate for all preschools in the surrounding areas of Silicon Valley. -On Fridays you can purchase Challah in the preschool lobby (it's from a local bakery in SF) -Preschool runs from 18 months to 5 years old -APJCC Preschool observes Kashrut, lunches you send your little one with to preschool must be dairy, parve, fish (no shellfish). -APJCC preschool provides one mid morning snack -No peanuts or tree-nuts allowed in lunches (this is good because I'm allergic and don't want my son in contact with items that could cause anaphylactic shock in me, I carry two Epi-Pens). -They accept kids that haven't been potty trained -You must provide diapers and wipes if your child isn't potty trained. Overall, it's a wonderful preschool. - - - - - - APJCC - - - - - - The gym is great, clean and well run. I'm glad we're full members. They have discounts on plays and classes with full membership. If you're looking for a quick snack or bite to eat they have a House of Bagels cafe onsite. I've been to the House of Bagels with my son after preschool on occasion. If you need someone to watch your little ones when exercising at the gym they have onsite daycare ((this is charged hourly and you must be onsite when your little one is in daycare)). Just fill out contract and either buy a prepaid card or you may pay as you go with cash. We purchased a $90 prepaid card for daycare. It should be noted that they also offer Parent's morning off or afternoon off- you may have advance reservations, 3 hours in the morning or afternoon for childcare at the daycare ((this enables you to run errands or go to doctors appoints sans your little ones)). So happy we found a good preschool and community center locally! It's such a nice community- My old college professor and my doctors are members at the APJCC :) If you're looking for a family oriented center the APJCC is a wonderful place! Noelle's Notes Great Community Centre Excellent Preschool Fantastic Gym Engaging community events

Large weight area with the main weights needed to get a good workout. 30+ cardio machines. Erin is awesome in the front. She signed me up, Sauna is hot haven't tried the steam room yet. One amenity I like is the towels. No need to bring your own towel.

Tennis bench at JCC with bird droppings. Sorry kids no sitting down during training.

There's a 3 lane pool, every piece of equipment you could need, plenty of 'free space' to do your own routine, lots of saunas and steam rooms, cold plunge pool, business office, etc. In terms of members it's a big group - ranging from old San Jose families to new imports young and old. There are athletes, business people, families, and young adults from LG high school. Only a few days into membership so I'm sure I'll end up updating review a few times. So far the only changes I'd make are to somehow increase the parking lot (although there are plenty of creative places to park) and to dedicate one of the tvs in the lounge to Bloomberg (all four tvs are constant sports). Seriously, this place is a gem.

UPDATE: I've said what needed to be said and I won't be…read moreengaging further. What I will say is this: I watched multiple women respond with "Love this," "Helpful," and "Thanks." That matters. Because we all know how often women are gaslit, dismissed, or punished for speaking up- especially when we confront power structures that would rather protect their image than their integrity. So to every woman who saw what I saw: thank you. You validated the truth. You made it known that I wasn't alone. This is the dirty work- calling it out and refusing to be silenced. Though the emoji reactions were reset because I updated my review, the impact still stands. Photo included. ----------------- In response to their public statement - here's what they're leaving out. And the receipts. I wasn't going to respond but the level of gaslighting, dishonesty, and audacity to act like being a "premier" club gives you permission to treat clients like they're beneath you- that's exactly the rot at the core of your brand. Clearly I struck a nerve, since you chose to respond only to my review, while ignoring others with similar concerns. I was charged $336 for a month of access and then banned days later with no paperwork, no warning, and no refund until I followed up myself. Their claim that the refund was issued "as a courtesy" is laughable. It's illegal in California to take payment for services you won't render. Let's keep it real: Had I not demanded my money, they would've kept my money. That's not courtesy. That's theft. Even more outrageous? They publicly claimed there was no accusation of me receiving free training. When in fact, in their own email dated June 30, they explicitly wrote (Photos included below): "Whether formal or informal if you are working with a professional, you are receiving uncompensated services... Those sessions were not permitted." And again, you went even further: "Your complimentary workout sessions were not limited to one incident." That's direct accusation, twice. So which is it? Because if you're going to lie publicly, at least make sure it doesn't contradict your own written words. I'm embarrassed for you. I'll leave the emails here so you can refresh your memory. The receipts speak for themselves. Worst part, the harassment I reported was labeled "disruptive." Instead of addressing the behavior of their new general manager (who stalked me and gossiped about my personal life), they retaliated and victim blamed. It's abuse of power. It's ugly and disgusting behavior. And as for the wild claim that I make "malicious accusations across multiple businesses"? Go check my review history. I leave thoughtful 5-star reviews for businesses that treat people with respect. When I call out bad behavior, it's always backed by evidence, JUST LIKE this one. They're so upset I told the truth and didn't back down. Stay mad. Bottom line is: There was no inappropriate behavior on my part. I reported harassment. I asked for a refund after being charged while banned. I stood up for myself and they hate that. This gym does not care about member safety, their response doubles down on being dishonest, gaslighting, smearing and retaliating. I stand by every word of my original review and clearly I'm not alone. Now I have even more proof to support it. Screenshots available on other platforms if Yelp filters this.

They have responded but the response was not very satisfactory so I am posting the email here. If you are an existing member or plan to become one, and agree with some of sentiment expressed here, please don't be silent. Talk or send email to the management. I still love the club, despite all the neglect. Here is the email: Membership dues continue to rise well above inflation. For our family/group (same membership for many years), the cost has increased approximately 50% in just the past three years. At this rate, the club is quickly moving from "nice-to-have" to "can't justify" for a growing number of us. Facilities - Santa Clara and Courtside Despite paying roughly double what we paid a few years ago, we've seen very little tangible improvement at the two locations I use most. The pre-COVID renovation at Santa Clara remains unfinished. Is there a firm timeline for completion? When can we expect a proper, full-service cafeteria? Courtside locker room and showers: The overall condition remains poor. It took years to replace the old, unsanitary carpet, several electronic locks are still broken with no apparent repair in progress, showers are outdated and frequently out of order, and on multiple occasions I've seen extension cords running across wet floors. The locker room layout itself feels cramped; reconfiguring with fewer, larger lockers and more open space would greatly reduce congestion during peak hours. Courtside desperately needs a modern, clean restroom on the first floor (similar to Santa Clara). Relying solely on the tiny facility in the men's locker room is unpleasant and unhygienic. Right now everybody must go this tiny bathroom where the floor is often wet and I am not sure if I am stepping into water or pee. This bathroom is totally disgusting. The comfortable wooden cushioned loungers that used to be available at all clubs were replaced with cheap, uncomfortable ones. Most mid-tier apartment complexes now have better pool furniture than we do. Could we please have the original (or equivalent) loungers brought back? Parking during peak hours is already at a breaking point. If membership continues to grow without expanding parking or offering solutions, the situation will become untenable. With dues rising so significantly, it's frustrating to see so little reinvestment in basic maintenance and member experience. I genuinely want the club to succeed and remain a place our families enjoy for many more years, but the current trajectory on pricing versus facility quality is unsustainable for many of us.

This is the kind of stuff you get with a family run club, flexibility if you run into some problems personal problems. Shutdowns over, and I've since payed them back. I get some of the other reviews complaining about kids, but it's winter now. The pool is heated and it's a great time to get swimming. I'm writing this before I go tonight. Also there's no separating kids from water. Just doesn't work. My wife and son love the weight stuff, I'm kind of old and just like soaking my bones in the hot tub and sauna. Can it use some updates? Sure, but at the same time if you look at similar clubs in nice areas (Like Almaden Valley) their monthly's are more than this club. Can't believe it took me so long to try out x2o's gym (I have been a member of their pilates studio…read morefor years now). Amazing vibes, great workout (circuit / strength training), very clean, great equipment, and great music! Also pretty spacious so it doesn't feel too cramped. Small classes and Paris was so helpful, she also made the class so fun. I will be back!

I absolutely love this membership! Prior to coming here I have always been terrified of weights and…read moremachines etc mostly because they looked overwhelming and I didn't know how to use them. The trainers really take the time to teach you the moves/how to use the equipment with proper form. There are so many new movements I have learned from coming to these classes and I love it so we don't get bored of the same class every week. X2O elite offers small group classes as well as private classes which are both basically personal training. Since the classes are so small the trainers are able to focus on each person's movements and correct their form as needed. I have been coming here for a month and I already have seen a huge difference in strength. I have taken 2 out of the 3 trainer and I absolutely love Paris and Stephanie. They have such a positive energy and encourage us to finish our sets. There are so many times that I have to apologize for my swearing because these workouts burn haha. I can't wait to post some progress photos in a month or so. I'm proud of being sculpted by x2o Lastly, the studio is so cute and clean with brand new equipment and the trainers always have the best playlist to keep you pushing!! If you're thinking about signing up, this is your sign to do it!! You literally will not regret it. I promise you it's my favorite part of my day and it'll be the favorite part of your day too
