We we're stuck in the ER at Flagstaff. We needed to get from Flagstaff to Phoenix. We tried to get a one-way rental from Flagstaff to Phoenix, but no cars available. A car available the next day in Cottonwood. There were no hotels available in Cottonwood for us to stay the evening. We called Apex taxi to possibly drive us to Cottonwood where the rental car was available. We did not know what to do. Then Brian , our Apex driver comes to pick us up. I told him our dilemma. I had a very early flight and had to get a ride a few hours before the hotel shuttle started. The front desk staff recommended Apex. I was very happy with my driver and the trip. They arrived early, the driver and I had a pleasant conversation the whole trip and I was at the airport in no time. I would highly recommend them. I used Apex 3x. One time they took me from Flagstaff to Sedona for $60(about 25 miles) which is a good deal on the scenic route, I took alot of photos and video. I was looking for campgrounds but most were booked on labor day weekend. The driver was good about stopping at a few campgrounds so I could check. Since they were booked, I got off in downtown Sedona. Recommended. read more

Hi I'm pretty sure it isn't legal so when I pick my is up from police department I plan to file a complaint. The woman in this picture picked me up at nearly 5am after freezing my ass off in the cold for hours. My ride was 7 dollars and I only had a 20. She claimed to have no change so my only choice was to call police or just get out and I was beat. Why take rides if you have no change and she made it clear no money... Wednesday evening I needed to line up a ride to the airport 6am the following day. After leaving a voicemail with another cab company that went unanswered, I phoned Apex, a real live person answered the phone and arranged my lift in the morning. Not a 5-star because the driver, Neal I think, did not arrive at 6 so I had to phone him to see that he was on the way. Since he didn't bother to get out to help me with my luggage I had to set it in his trunk, and then he scolded me for (accidentally) slamming the trunk lid. Best of a bad lot, I suppose. read more

No show! The night before, I reserved a taxi for 5:00am to take me to Flagstaff Airport. At 5:10am called dispatcher and was told the driver was on the way. At 5:20am called dispatcher and she said she would call me back right away. Never did. Luckily, Turquoise Taxi happened to be available and got me to the airport in time for my flight. My wife and two young son's were on a long road trip. We broke down about 40 miles north of Flagstaff on a Saturday evening. The roadside assistant only guaranteed space for two with the tow truck, and left it to me to find transportation for the rest of the family. I tried Uber, but got no hits. I called on taxi company and the number was disconnected. I tried Apex and they said they could pick us up. Their quote was only a few dollars more than Uber. The driver called us to confirm the location and let us know he was dropping someone off and then would head our way. He called a few times to update us and answered when I called back. The driver arrived within 10 mins of the tow truck showing up and took my wife and sons to the hotel we just barely got booked (there was a convention in town, of course). The driver let me know he could take us all but I wanted to ride with the tow truck driver. I had no problem entrusting my family to the driver. I called the next morning to get a cab to the rental car agency but it was a 45 min wait, so this time I took Uber. I want to thank our driver for helping my family when we needed it. read more

Wonderful service - they picked us up at the Flagstaff airport and took us to the Railway Hotel in Williams, and visa versa on our way back from Williams to Flagstaff. They also picked us up very early from our hotel to take us to the airport. I made the arrangements ahead of time and they were there and waiting for us on all three occasions. read more

Apex Taxi keeps their vehicles very clean. I had previously given a negative review of Apex Taxi. They may be trying to get their act together, as they seem to be providing at least semi-adequate service. I am sure that the frustration I have experienced with them is partly due to a high demand for rides with limited drivers. Wait times often fluctuate, even for scheduled rides. They are usually nicer than their competitors. Their night crew is often much better than the day crew in many ways. I want to find a better company that is also consisted with their service. Overall, make sure that you are a patient person if you use Apex Taxi. I will keep you posted as I ride various taxis often. read more

I called and driver picked me up in less than 10 minutes. Their rate was 40% lower than Uber on the 4th of July. My driver Steve was serving as the dispatcher too and still managed to be courteous, timely, and polite. When he charged my card the receipt didn't have the tip line and I felt terrible & apologized because I planned to tip him well. He was so kind & reiterated it was no big deal that I wasn't able to leave more than a $2 cash tip. I'd use them again next time I'm in Flagstaff. read more

Called for a taxi at 8:15 on 922 and they said someone would be on the way soon, at 8:30 no taxi. I called them back and they said it would be another 15 to 30 minutes before a taxi would arrive. I said do you only have one taxi with your company what's going on? And the owner said because of you made a condescending attitude that I would not be getting a ride and to choose another service. read more

Can't say enough about this taxi service! Our hotel didn't have a shuttle early enough for our 6:00AM flight. I called at 8:30 the night before our flight and even though they usually finish up around 2:00AM he said I hate to have anyone miss a flight I can be there at 4:45AM. This service cannot be depended on! On Wednesday July 20, 2012 I had a confirmed appointment with Apex Taxi to take us from our hotel, Little America, to the AMTRAK station in Flagstaff. The east bound train departs at 4:20 AM. My reservation from Apex was for 3:00 AM it was confirmed by telephone the night before at about 7:00 PM. Taxi was a no show at 3:00 AM. When I attempted to call them I only received a recorded message that said were busy call again some other time. Please avoid this company like the plague. They will let you down. read more

Apex Taxi is the ONLY car service I could find that would provide airport transportation. I did not know in advance of arriving in FLG at 5:00 pm that the sidewalks roll up at 5 pm, and regular taxis do not queue at the airport for fares. The airport was dark and closed after the other passengers accepted their prearranged rides. When I called a few taxi companies from a list provided by a closing rental car company that had no cars available, Apex and one other company answered their phones. The other company quoted $30 to drive me five miles to my hotel, which I declined, knowing the trip was not very far. I was a nervous wreck by the time Apex picked me up promptly in a clean car driven by a very pleasant woman named Heather. Heather was a Godsend for me that night, and I will never forget the relief I felt at her arrival. I used Apex from then on during that and a subsequent flight to FLG. I am a big fan of Apex Taxi of Flagstaff!!!! read more

Arranged for a pick up at 1 o'clock in the afternoon. I was told they would be there but may be five minutes late. I was fine with that. At 1 o'clock the Apex taxi pulled up and let out a bunch of airline personnel. They proceeded to load a bunch of other airline persthe cab I walked up to the cabin question the driver. The driver said he was there for me he would be back in five minutes. He was back in 20 minutes. His only excuse was well the other guys were right there and they were starting to jump into his cab. Typical small town shady business practices. Initially ApEX quoted me $60 to go from the airport in Flagstaff to Sedona. Then told me oh I forgot I have another ride booked in an hour when I came outside to meet the driver. What a great welcome to the town. Safety is not their #1 priority when it comes to their customers. While the driver, the person who happens to be the dispatcher at the time, will be driving, answering the phone and writing down the information of the incoming call, doing all three things simultaneously. I reserved rides with Apex for my (newly adult) teens to get them roundtrip from the bus station to their hotel in Flagstaff, and Apex was reliable every time which saved me a lot of worry. They were even able to pick them up in the middle of the night and to be flexible when the bus schedule changed. Most reliable public transportation I found in Flagstaff. The reason I only give 4/5 stars is because they can be hard to contact, but once you do get in contact with them they are great! read more

This taxi service is better than most. Their drivers are all very nice, cars that are clean, smell good, comfortable and the prices are comparable to the rest. One thing that really moves them above the pack is they are willing to go the extra mile to get you a taxi so you can get to where you are going. I have ridden in the other taxis and have experienced rudeness and always unavailability and cars that are dirty and smell. Apex is the way to go if you need a taxi in Flagstaff. I used Apex cab today. The driver made no attempt to get out of cab to help me with my large and heavy suitcase. I had to knock on the trunk for him to open it. I got in and said some help would have been nice...no comment too busy playing with phone. At train station I paid cash.. didn't want to tip but wasn't waiting for change. I've used Apex taxi mostly to get to work when I'm in a huge hurry (which tends to be a lot more than I'd like to admit...) but I haven't had too many issues with them. The reason why I'm giving them four stars instead of five is because of one driver I've had several times, Jeff, who made me feel like my life could very well be in danger. He is a reckless driver who turns far too fast, speeds, and make my life flash before my eyes. Because they are a taxi company, I know many people don't think about reviewing them but I can guarantee that 98% of their customers are satisfied with the service. I had my very first trip to Flagstaff a couple days ago and the hotel I was staying at used Apex for their guests. I have had several different drivers (all being very easy to talk to and making the ride pleasant-- not those awkward creepy ones!) but most especially, I had a driver named Roger who took me to and from Fort Tuthill.. talk about thee NICEST and FUNNIEST guy ever! He even asked some of the other people waiting (possibly stranded at the venue) if they needed a ride, instead of some of the other taxi drivers there who would make their customers feel like an inconvenience. On top of a really fun night at the concert, meeting Roger and his joyful spirit made my night/trip so much better! Plus, I never had to wait (at any destination I was at) more than 10-15 minutes. It's like they were always just down the street. The dispatcher who answers the call is always super sweet and courteous! Definitely will be my taxi service of choice the next time I'm in town. read more

So, I just want to say that my girlfriend and I are frequent users of apex taxi. Usually, they are relatively clean, the drivers are relatively personable and there generally on time. But, last night, things went wrong with apex taxi. after a night of alcohol fueled debauchery (game night), my girlfriend and I called a cab which arrived promptly. Driving was a fairly new "Tim" or so he says. Tim proceeded to our destination and at about the halfway point he started to go way off course. Though mildly inebriated, my gf and I were quickly able to realize that Tim was intentionally giving us the run around in an attempt to run the meter. Now, trust me, it's really easy to get to where we were going, and even if you've never driven in this city, you'd be able to get where we were going.
