It was under construction, with mirrors on the floor, dust throughout the space, nails, and conditions that did not feel safe or appropriate for hosting a Pilates class. I reached out DIRECTLY rather than leaving a negative review, and Alex at the front desk was incredibly kind and professional. She apologized and offered me a complimentary session, which I appreciated. I actually planned to continue using the space because of its convenience and how the first issue was handled. I had also already paid for upcoming classes. Unfortunately, my second experience was much worse. There was a miscommunication regarding the space and a different room, and the studio was STILL under construction. I requested a call so the situation could be addressed before my class started, but no one reached out. I handled the situation the best I could without immediate support from the staff. While I was setting up for class with my clients present, the owner, Sal, confronted me INFRONT OF MY CLIENTS and raised his voice at me. I was then told I could no longer use the space moving forward and that we were "not a good fit." I would have been completely open to having a respectful conversation and resolving the issue. Especially because I booked 3 other upcoming slots for the month of October. While I was refunded for those, being yelled at in front of my clients was unnecessary and unprofessional. Which is why this review is being left. No apology & UNACCEPTABLE! I recently moved to Dallas from California, and unfortunately, this experience left a very negative impression. I will not be returning or referring others to this space. Future Peerspace bookers should also be aware that the space may not look or be provided as advertised.

Because of DI both of my kids are way above their age level in all genres from just one year of dancing there. The staff is extremely professional, and the owner is just so on top of everything at the studio. The best part of the studio is that none of the teachers or staff (Including the owner) get involved with ANY of the drama at the studio. They place the kids where they will do the best in technique and maturity wise. The only reason why we left is because we moved out of state, however we are going back every year for some of the conventions they participate in so we have the chance to dance with them. They care about molding your dancer into a professional dancer, not just a competitive dancer who stops dancing at 18 when they age out of competitions. They work with the seniors in getting them into the right collages and help them earn scholarships to pay for tuition. The owner and staff are well connected as well to get your foot in the door if you want to go more towards the entertainment industry. The ballet program is top notch with dancers that get into the most prestigious dance schools. (They have placed at least 3 dancers at Juilliard last year). They also have great adult ballet, tap, and hop hop classes that are so much fun! If you have the opportunity to go to DI do it! We had a great time, felt confident in what we learned, and certainly will go back soon for more lessons and events. We both wanted to take country dance classes but didn't like that our only option was a bar. When we tripped across Studio 22, this is exactly what we'd hoped for. This event was organized and well planned with professional instructors who were patient and kind. Studio 22 made it fun, not intimidating. The ratio of guests balanced itself out. They encourage frequent rotation of partners (if you go as a couple, that's okay too), no one person was without a partner for too long. There was a wide range of dance lessons, not just country. The studio itself was very spacious, large enough to hold 50 - 80 people comfortably. There are dozens of four top tables along the wall, no reservations, you have to grab one asap. You are allowed to bring your own water bottles (BYOB). They kept the temperature very comfortable, impressive! Dress code is casual attire, something easy to move in, and shoes you can easily shuffle in. There is a fantastic YELP coupon when you check in: 1 Free Group Lesson. I plan to redeem it and will write another review about it.

This women-focused and owned studio is all about body positivity, getting fit and doing through the art of dance. I've taken several Burlesque Basics, Bumps and Grinds and I hope to take the Burlesque Body Workout as soon as I move back to Dallas. These classes are fun, will work you out so hard core and still works fantastically if you have joint problems like I do. If you are a girl of size like I am, seriously, don't worry about it. It does not matter. You will not run into any snotty Queen B's that deserve a good slap. Everyone is all about cheering each other own and I like that the classes aren't huge like at regular gyms. If burlesque is not your thing, they also offer classes in Adult Ballet, Yoga and do have Hip-Hop classes including beginning break-dancing. How cool is that?! All of the instructors are professional dancers with years upon years of training and even better, the two owners are award winning burlesque dancers. I know I may sound super cheesy and like an infomercial, but I was rather pleased with my experience. Holly, the owner, was enthusiastic and kind, and made my friend and I feel like we were regulars, not newbies. The class itself was really fun and a great workout. It's structured in a way that is fast-paced, but not too intense where you get lost while following along. The music selection was fantastic and I loved that Holly actually went through all the moves with her students so you would have an example. After the hour-long class, my friend and I left feeling energized and accomplished, not wrung-out and exhausted.
