So, the numbers and letters on the backs of two of the 24 shirts in my order started to peel off. This wasn't the fault of Ape Do Good, but rather defective transfers from their heat press vendor, but Ape Do Good still surprised me by reprinting (front and back) my entire order for free just to make sure nobody else's shirt would develop problems in the future. I feel kind of bad that they took on this expense, but what amazing customer service! read more

Great local print shop!!!! We had a big order of 200 hoodies. 1/3 of our hoodies were stuck on back order due to a problem with the manufacturer (NOT the printer). Anthony (Owner) and Kathryn were responsive, knowledgeable, and SO helpful! They worked with me to provide other options, samples, etc., and my final branded hoodie order turned out even better than originally thought! And they worked extra hard to have the order done in time for our holiday party. They literally saved our Christmas! It was a pleasure working with them from start to finish, and I will definitely be going back for future printing needs. read more

Professional, prompt, just plain nice and top quality. Someone came into the shop yesterday who'd bought a tee shirt they printed and was still wearing it 13 years later. Well done ape, you did good read more

I recently started using Ape Do Good for my company's screen printing needs and couldn't be happier! They are extremely responsive, have reasonable prices, and print very quickly. Kathryn is a great sales rep! read more

I placed a t-shirt order with them and I have to concur that the ape did indeed do good. My company needed some swag and Ape Do Good printed up some quality logo shirts on American Apparel tees. They have a wide variety of different t-shirt brands to choose from if you need something less expensive. The staff were uniformly friendly and knowledgeable and turn around time was fast. They also hooked me up with a good courier service to schlep the shirts to the various places we needed them to go. (Insider tip: if you do a press check you get the added bonus of visiting the print shop and checking out owner Anthony Skirvin's awesome artwork hanging all over the place.) read more

It was an absolute pleasure working with Ape Do Good! We ordered three different colored shirts, all in different sizes and styles, each with slightly different variations on our logo, and not once did I sense any hesitation or resistance to any of our mix-and-matching. Aley was super sweet and enthusiastic about showing us all the samples and color swatches available for our color choices, and even ordered us a sample shirt just so we could make sure the color was right. The pricing per piece was the cheapest I've seen anywhere including zazzle, and it was really cool to be able to see all the machines and screenprinters doing everything by hand for us. I will definitely be returning to Ape Do Good for my future t-shirt printing needs! read more

Very professional and friendly! Kathryn answered to my email immediately and my order (80 shirts) was ready in less then one week!

Whoever "Ape" is, they indeed do well. In addition to making quality tees on-prem, they are so incredibly kind and easy to work with. Because they only do bulk orders, they put in the time and interest to work with you to find your perfect design the first time. Put in an order of 72 American Apparel tees that were a mix of sizes and styles, and they were able to meet our deadlines with no issues. Although I didn't find the online t-shirt templates very useful, they do provide a good starting point to get the ideas flowing. Great place for first-timers and experts alike. read more

First, and best, group of screeners I've dealt with. twice already, actually. Though the jobs were small (~24 shirts in total), Helen's been so nice to us with the quoting and with helping me out through the whole process. In the end, the final product of the T-shirts look fantabulous, and the shirts we used are soft and inexpensive too. Use the Gildan canvas tee. They're soft as hell. Thanks for the Love More tee shirts, guys! Next year, our new club co-presidents will use your services again! read more

these guys are GREAT!!!! They were referred to me by a former co-worker who is a pretty picky designer - alright he's just plain anal about design details. So if they were good enough for him they'd good enough for me - right? Yes they were. We went yesterday - me and our art director, Shadia - for the press check and am so glad we chose that option. Anthony ran a first print for us and what looked great on paper wasn't so hot on a shirt. We tried another placement of the logo and we're still scratching our heads. While Shadia and I are agonizing, Anthony runs another on his own with placement he thinks will work, tosses it to his assistant, Tim who jumps into fashion model duty without missing a beat by putting the shirt on for us. Bingo - the right placement for sure! Thanks Anthony, Tim and of course Michelle who handled the quoting, scheduling and billing seamlessly. Great team, great shirts and a hip Mission garage location. I'll be back for sure. read more

Ape do Good has always done a great job for me the five times I have utilized their services - in particular Helen has been extremely patient and willing to work through my OCD and changes. I am not too familiar with how the pricing compares, but I am willing to pay a small premium for good customer service. read more

Ape do good rocks. Of course I am referring to their amazing play list as well as their ability to deliver quality goods in a reasonable amount of time. They are great at helping direct you to which brands will suit your needs ( Eco- check, price concerns - check). Plus it's great to know that you are supporting a print shop in the mission instead of places that ship it off somewhere. read more

I started my search for t-shirts on customink, thinking that would be the cheapest, fastest and easiest way to order team jerseys. I also checked out a few local companies for comparison. I'm so glad that I went with Ape Do Good. Rob and Aley were great! Not only were Ape Do Good's prices better than customink, they were faster too. My order was finished way sooner than I'd expected, even after I delayed things because I couldn't figure out what type of shirts would be best. This will be my go-to company any time I need custom printing in the future. read more

We have had organic t-shirts and organic hoodies printed here. simply put - Everyone who got the hoodie is now wearing it EVERY time I see them. They found us a perfect fit for our image and did a great job getting the order perfect. Customer service is terrific and friendly. Overall a superb operation. I will be using them futher in 2015 read more

We tried Ape Do Good because their turn around was faster than another printer we used. Prices are more expensive than other printers, but in a pinch they were ok. Over the span of 1 year, we had 5 designs screened. The first 3 were ok but when we had a reprint of one of them, signs of poor screening began to show. I am not sure if the quality control at Ape Do Good is becoming Ape No Good. We just had 2 designs done (5 colors each) and I'm very disappointed to say the least. Owner Anthony blamed dot gain as the problem and "that it occurs on every job". Maybe to some extent but it seems more often now than before at Ape Do Good. So how can a customer be assured that their job will be printed same as the artwork sent? No answer from Anthony. So, in a nutshell, whatever you drop off to have screened, it will not be as you sent it. Just cross your fingers that you'll get a discount after the fact as I did. They might be fine for simple 2 color jobs but not for 3 or more. Oh and as for the mockup issue...they call it a press check and its an additional $75. Yes, you would need to pay an additional $75 so that you can sleep good knowing that your job will be printed same as the artwork you sent them in the first place. read more

Simple, easy quote system. Attentive staff to help with any questions along the way. Well priced. Lots of choice for shirt styles, sizes, and companies. I went with American App Organic cotton. I was really pleased with how simple the whole process was and the shirts came out perfect. I will certainly use them for my next t-shirt run, and I recommend them to anyone looking for printers. read more

We had a bunch of shirts printed with Ape using their "discharge" technique and everyone who got the shirt so far loves it a lot. Ape was great to deal with and worked really well with us in making sure we have a great product. The flexibility in what can be ordered and how many was great since it allowed us to get exactly the count we needed. Thanks to everyone that works there. We'll definitely be back for printing more crush3r shirts! read more

Cool local screen printing company. They have all the clothing products they offer to print onto on racks for your viewing/comparison and will quickly provide you a cost comparison between different brands or extra colors, etc. We placed a smaller order of 38 shirts and got all of them in a good quality Hanes Tagless ComfortSoft tee, single colored, all for less than $10 each. Turn around time is 5-10 business days (depending on the order), but they had ours done in 7 business days! If you're considering ordering online, don't waste your time. Go put your hands on what you're looking to order and support this local shop! read more

OK. I have a tshirt company so having a great printer is obviously key. I used to use a guy in LA, then a crazy guy here in SF, and I thank the lord someone told me about Ape Do Good. It has made my life so much easier and more pleasant. They are great to work with, super nice and friendly, quick turnaround, great prices, utterly fabulous. If you have any printing job to do go there because I have tried them all and they win in every category! Big jobs, small jobs, complex or not- it always works out great. And to the haters who have written a negative review of them... I seriously do NOT understand what you're talking about. I actually can't imagine how you could have felt so much vitriol when working with these great folks who contribute so heartily to the benefit of the Mission District community and produce such a fine product. I work with them on several projects a month, and their good work is critical to my business's success, and I have never had any issues, not one time, only well-priced, great quality results. Ditto everyone else I know who has used them- and I have referred lots of folks. All of them have been more than pleased with the results and the process. On another note I am personally not a fan of folks who review things that they themselves have not experienced personally, and who just join in on the lynch mob with their peers- so I would take that review with a healthy grain of salt. Yelpers do that all the time with restaurants as well and it's frankly unfair. Would you review a movie you hadn't seen based on what someone else told you? Anyway- I love Ape Do Good- and don't hate! read more

It's been a couple years since my wedding, but it's hard to forget that the only vendor that came through for me fully (at the last minute, no less) was Ape DO Good. My job was simple enough as we needed screen printed menus on dark cardstock, but they took care of it quickly and for a very reasonable price. Dealing with them was easy and I could tell that they really care. read more

These guys are so great! I changed my mind so many times before our shirts were actually printed and they still did amazing! Hats off to Helen who helped me get through all of it too. if i could give Ape Do Good 6 stars i would. truly exceptional customer service from start to finish. and on top of it all, their prices are SUPER competitive, and the finished product was perfect. i needed a dozen shirts custom printed for a Bay 2 Breakers costume, and Helen was very helpful the whole way through. I submitted my inquiry through their website, and less than an hour later I already had a detailed quote. after a few back and forth emails to finalize all the details, the project kicked off and my shirts were ready way ahead of schedule. and like i said earlier, the finished product was amazing. if you are reading this and need some shirts printed, please give Ape Do Good a shot at your business. read more

Could not be any more pleased with the results at Ape Do Good and kudos to Julie in particular!! Walked in unannounced on a Tuesday morning after a 3 day holiday weekend, asked for 24 shirts with our own (detailed) design, both adult and kids sizes and needed them by Friday, the earlier the better . . . not only does Ape Do Good but ape does fantastic! Specifically, kudos to Julie for insisting that we do it right (worked with (insisted) on getting an electronic version of the image that would provide the quality), the quality (and selection) of the shirts is better than expected, the image came out very clean and crisp, the shirts were ready ahead of schedule . . . and we came in under budget!!! Can't wait for next years event :) read more

I had 24 t-shirts printed with a logo for my dog training business and based on my experiences with the staff, service and quality, I highly recommend Ape Do Good printing. Aley, who took my order and worked with me during the design and ordering process, is a joy to work with, highly efficient and knowledgable. After I had submitted the "final" design, we had some last minute changes; no problem at all. My partner is a screen printer and concurred that the screening work is top-notch. I'll definitely use them for any future shirt printing jobs. read more

This is my first yelp review... I just created this account because I simply had to write a review about how awesome Ape Do Good is! These guys did a fantastic job for my dragon boat team's t-shirts and hoodies - in fact, they turned out way better than I could even imagine! Additionally, not only do they have great prices compared to other printers we received quotes from, but they also have great order flexibility (allowing you to mix several different colors and sizes in the order w/out the need for a minimum and without extra charge!) and EXCELLENT customer service. And in regard to the other customer who said they didn't get a mockup of their order: Ask, and ye shall receive! After I OK'd the mockup, they had all of my garments printed and ready for pickup the very next day (one day earlier than the deadline)! I'll definitely be coming back when I need more stuff printed, and I highly recommend them! read more

Great local printers. Easy to work with and always available to answer questions and discuss our order. Helen was incredibly attentive and turned our job around a whole 4 days ahead of the scheduled delivery date! Shirts were very professionally printed and showed amazing amounts of detail in areas that are typically challenging to print. Only thing lacking in their process is an option to proof work prior to a print run. But I'm sure this could be arranged if necessary as they seem pretty accommodating if you are a local customer. Will definitely go back for future projects. read more

Ape Do Good doesn't just make tshirts- they employ truly talented artists who share their creativity with those people who are lucky enough to work with them. Our project was especially challenging and only when we worked with Anthony and his team at Ape Do Good did it come to life in the exact way we hoped and dreamed it would. Thank you Ape Do Good for bringing our crazy visions to life and making us extremely happy and satisfied customers. read more

Ape Do Awesome! We recently had our company t-shirts and sweatshirts (4 color/double-sided) printed by Ape Do Good and were more than satisfied. The customer service is top notch. The owner Anthony is professional and creative, as well as a downright cool guy. He and his staff are great to work with. We got a couple of estimates and found that the shirts were less expensive and they were able to turn them around quite quickly. The Ape Do Good team helped us pick colors and styles which matched great with our logo and aesthetic. The graphics came out crisp and the colors true. Our shirts are so loved we will have to print more soon! We highly recommend Ape Do Good. read more

Just had another job printed by Anthony and the Ape Do Good Team. Aside from a great group of people working there that are friendly and helpful, Anthony provided some excellent concept and design input on my printing needs. Their Eco-Friendly discharge printing feels a ton nicer than the standard ink printing. I've had Anthony print jobs for me for years, probably longer than anyone else, he stands behind his work and it's always been top quality. There's a reason why even after moving to NYC I still have all my screen printing done by Ape. read more
