My mom has been craving Michoacan style and enchiladas. I have seen this spot in for some time never stop by. I finally decided to try so glad we did. The portions are very good size. My daughter ended up ordering chicken tacos, cause she wasn't sure who she was gonna like the food. Left chicken tacos for later and decided to eat my food with me and we still couldn't finish it. The place is small, but the service is great. Food is amazing

I came here to try the enchilada Michoacana ($13.99) which is enchiladas with onions, cabbage, sliced tomatoes, red salsa and fried potatoes with cheese and cream piled on top with a piece of fried chicken. I never tried it before but it was pretty good. The enchiladas were covered in red sauce and it was hot and the sliced cabbage and tomatoes went well with it. The staff was nice and the place was clean.

A tostada mixta with a vampiro drink. Staff was cordial. Seafood felt fresh but didn't really have much flavor - some more hot/ seafood sauce options would have been ideal. The drink was tasty though.

THANK GOD FOR YELP !!!! I woke up this morning CRAVING menudo so I looked up Mexican restaurants on yelp and this was only a mile away !! It's in a kind of shady area but if you've grown up in Pomona it feels just like home First things first this restaurant is REALLy small. There are two bar seats and six tables so you might have to wait. Servers are super sweet and accommodating. It was difficult to order bc I don't speak Spanish but we managed. Food came out a little slow but we noticed there were only two servers and one person in the kitchen but holy jeezus if you take that into consideration then they got it out at lightning speed I got menudo and my friend got cheese enchiladas and two asada tacos and horchata. It was so good and authentic !!! It really hit the spot but we were still a little hungry so we got a Mexican Coke, two more asada tacos and a hard shell potato taco and it did the job. I also got my mom two asada tacos and two beef hard shell tacos for my brother and EVERYTHING came out to just under 30$ !!! They're open 10-8 most days but weekends it's 8-8 So glad I found this place ! Can't wait to come back and explore the menu more

I was in the mood for huevos rancheros and decided to give this place a try. The closest to huvos racheros is their huevos con chile verde. It was decently good. We also, had a potato taco, beef enchilada and a chocolate Mamey líquido. Huevos con chile verde-$8.50: comes with rice and beans

05/24/26 Sunday…read more Stars: 4.5/5 Our friends booked this venue for their wedding reception. Sea Queen has a restaurant side and a banquet hall side. We had the banquet hall side and it was able to accommodate 200 guests. They had the place set up early and allowed the wedding party to come in advance to drop off drinks, decor, etc. They allowed us to bring food and alcohol. They also prepaid for drinks from the bar so folks could order from a bartender. Only a few dishes were ordered (since there was other food from an outside catering vendor) and I only got to try it after it was cold so I can't give a wholistic review on the food they serve, but I really liked the leaf wrapped beef with Banh Hoi (vermicelli sheet) and the mango salad! My one complaint is the women's bathroom. Two (out of 3) of the stalls can't lock so the girls had to help each other hold the doors closed. However, it was mostly clean and had toilet paper in stock. +They offer takeout containers for leftovers from the party. +Very kind and accommodating staff. They cleared some tables to create more space on the dance floor. +Parking is plentiful.

When we first walked in, the place looked empty, and my wife and I almost considered leaving. Just as we were about to head out, a server came over, seated us, and explained the menu. The $45 menu is extensive, featuring a wide variety of Vietnamese dishes such as escargot (ốc), pho, and bò né (Vietnamese sizzling beef steak), among many others. We ordered escargot with tamarind sauce, oysters with cheese, a lobster special, rau muống (water spinach) with garlic, glass noodles, and a ribeye steak. This isn't a typical buffet--each dish is cooked to order. It took about 15 minutes since there were only two chefs, but the wait was absolutely worth it. Everything was fresh, flavorful, and served piping hot. The lobster was a whole lobster with claws, and the ribeye was a generous cut served sizzling at the table. The portions are large, and our server kindly warned us ahead of time--we're glad we listened! The owner was friendly, and the service was attentive throughout our meal. My wife and I loved this place and will definitely be coming back. It's great to have quality Vietnamese food nearby without having to travel all the way to OC.

Our usual order is 1lb of shrimp and 1lb of mussels, and we've always been happy with it. This time, we decided to try the Combo #2 because we wanted to add crab legs. We ordered three combo bags, each with shrimp, mussels, and crab legs. Unfortunately, it didn't feel like there was anywhere close to 1lb each of shrimp and mussels in the bags. I can't prove it, so I can only share our experience, but it honestly felt like there were fewer than 15 shrimp in the bag. For the first time ever, we finished our meal and were still hungry afterward. Based on this experience, I wouldn't recommend ordering the combo bag. Not only did it seem like there was significantly less food, but with all the ingredients piled together, some items ended up overcooked. We were really disappointed because we've had consistently good experiences with multiple locations here over the years. Hopefully this was just an off day, but we'll be sticking with ordering the seafood separately next time.

Next time I'll have to eat inside. Looks like a nice cozy spot. Got the family bag with mussels, clam and shrimp. Good. We got the full house sauce. It's a little bit of everything. Not sure if it was a Mistake or not but I got MEDIUM SPICE LEVEL from someone who likes spicy food. To me personally it was spicy. Savory and delicious but to me the medium heat level tasted spicy to our family. Not a knock or ding whatsoever. Just something to keep in mind. We got fried calamari and breaded catfish. Beautifully fried. Not greasy or oily. The Cajun fries are good too. Get some rice! Mix the sawce and clams and mussels. With some lemon soo good. Will come again. Awesome

They provided us menus, pretty straightforward; choose seafood, add sides for an extra cost, choose the flavor, and the spice level. One thing not noted on the menu is that shrimp isn't peeled, but they can peel them for an extra $6. And each order comes in pound increments. No half a pound offered. Your table is also covered with paper so you can eat the seafood boil from there. They provide bibs and gloves for no charge. Ultimately, we enjoyed our meals. Everything was flavorful and, unlike some other seafood boil spots, it didn't leave us feeling like we had heartburn afterward. There's a little sink for you to clean your hands at, which is nice since you dont have to wait for the restroom to empty. The service is what was a bit off. Like we asked for 3 Cajun fry boats but only received 2. Drinks were mixed up, and the clam chowder didn't arrive until about 20 minutes after our seafood bags had already been delivered. If you want ranch for your fries, they charge 60 cents for a small container. For drink refills, they bring a pitcher, but it's the kind typically used for measuring ounces. The server also tended to reach across one end of the table to grab empty cups or pass out food. Since I was seated at the end, it felt awkward having to help pass things down, especially since there were other access points to reach people in our party. We left around 920pm. I only mention it because we were the last group there, and we all noticed the heater seemed to have been turned on. Restaurant sign says open til 10pm on Sat. but we saw them turn off their open sign when we went outside. Needless to say, service could have been better.

The gumbo was easily the star of the meal. The sauce itself was incredibly rich, deeply savory, and immediately reminded me of the food I've had in New Orleans. I honestly don't have an elaborate critique of it. It was simply delicious. My only thought was that I wanted even more seafood in every spoonful, so next time I'm adding extra crab or shrimp. I wasn't sure what to expect from the frog legs, but they ended up being one of my favorite dishes. The batter was light and crispy, while the meat was delicate and mild, somewhere between chicken and fish, without much gaminess. I could have easily eaten an entire plate of them. We finished the meal with the croissant beignets and bread pudding. The beignets were crisp, dusted with powdered sugar, and served with a berry purée that balanced the sweetness nicely. As good as they were, the bread pudding blew them away for me. The warm bread pudding with bourbon sauce, ice cream, and strawberries was easily my favorite dessert of the night. Our waiter also overheard that it was my birthday and surprised me with complimentary ice cream, which was a thoughtful touch. Probably the best compliment I can give The Quarter is this. I'm willing to drive an hour to Claremont on a Saturday night, hunt for parking, and deal with the crowds of college kids just to come back for another bowl of that gumbo.
