That first impression honestly made me want to move forward with them. Scheduling was smooth, and they were generally good about getting me in around my appointment time during the earlier visits. However, things started to fall apart when it came to pricing transparency. I went in for permanent implants (I already have existing dentures), and after my initial consultation, I was quoted around $51,000, which was nearly $20,000 higher than other places I had visited. Because of that, I decided not to move forward at first. Afterward, I received multiple calls and texts from their office, and we eventually negotiated a price. We verbally agreed, and they confirmed via text to a flat $32,000, and this included anesthesia. That number was in line with other quotes I had received, so I felt comfortable moving forward and scheduled a follow-up appointment to finalize everything, sign the contract, and make a payment. This is where my experience took a turn. I waited about 20 minutes past my appointment time, and while they did eventually acknowledge the delay, it wasn't until I had already been waiting for a while. During the contract process, they increased the anesthesia cost by an additional $3,500, even though anesthesia had already been included in the agreed-upon $32,000 total. After some back-and-forth, I reluctantly agreed to a revised total of $35,500 just to move things forward. Then things became even more concerning. The billing assistant left the room multiple times and came back with yet another change, an additional $2,500 for a zirconia upgrade. This was especially frustrating because zirconia was the only option we had discussed from the beginning and was part of the original plan. It appeared to have been removed from the revised contract, only to be added back in as an upcharge. At that point, the total had climbed about $6,000 above what we had already agreed upon verbally and via text. That lack of consistency and transparency didn't sit right with me, and I ultimately decided to walk away without moving forward. Overall, the staff was kind and the office made a great first impression, but the repeated pricing changes and lack of clear, consistent communication during the contracting process were too concerning for me to ignore.

Her cosmetic work on my teeth was excellent, and she is kind and compassionate. However, I have been left sitting for up to two hours for scheduled appointments including routine cleanings. Recently, I was told that the call center reported that I cancelled my appointment when I had confirmed at length directly with the Apache Junction office. Speaking of the call center, they have become an irritant. Reps start calling two weeks or so before appointments. I have had at least three reps call to confirm the same appointment. (The AJ office seemed to function better when Tammy was on board.) I have decided to return to non-franchised dentistry - preferably to Taylor Kim, DDS, my prior dentist whose office operates in a timely manner, without a call center, and provides great dental care and thankfully is listed as a provider for my new insurance.

They don't take our dental insurance but I said that's okay, you have great reviews so I am willing to pay the advertised $59 New Patient Special which includes a full exam, routine cleaning & X-rays. I asked to schedule myself & my fiance two new patient appointments. The receptionist put me on hold & came back to say she is sorry but their website isn't updated so they won't honor the price of $59, it is now $89. I said "are you sure you can't honor it just for me & my fiancé since it's on your website?" She said no. Dentists get bad raps a lot but these type of bait & switch practices are the reasons for their reputations. On to the next unfortunately.

I was referred to Dr. Abedi by a friend and although Apache Junction is outside of the convenience of the 15 mile radius I stay within its well worth the drive. The hygienists I had this time and last are by far the most gentle and informative in the valley. Dr. Abedis bed side manners are professional and pleasant. I really appreciated the attention to my issues and the treatment plan created that addressed them in an affordable way. It was apparent not only Dr. Abedi but his staff too, were invested in attending to my smile for the long haul.

The form asks you to consent to sharing your "protected" health info with their "business associates" without explaining the details as HIPPA requires. The form does say "refer to our notice before signing the consent", but I saw no notice. The receptionist repeatedly said I would have to sign one wherever I went ... in my experience patients are allowed to limit what is shared, without being refused service. She said they likely wouldn't treat me if I didn't sign it, but she could ask. I felt pressured and unwelcome. So I left with the forms. Others may have a better experience.
