This place rocks. Small store with wonderful people and delightful empanadas that are made right there, and pies from another local store. Note that it is hard to find since their signage is covered by a tree.

Food - Comes hot, perfect size to try a few, and so tasty. Service - Very kind service. - Fast and a short line when I arrived. Ambiance - Cute small interior with a few window seating and small tables and chairs. I need to try the other flavors! They were perfect size, not too big so I got to try a few! I'll be back for more!

LOVE their empanadas and pot pies! This is a great spot to grab something to-go and heat up later. But if you want a quick snack that hits the spot, you can have your treats heated up and enjoy while there!

This is the spot in Noe Valley to get consistently tasty empanadas . I like getting the beef Argentina empanadas. I also had the chicken and potato pie which was delicious and savory. Ap's Cafe empanadas and pies are always fresh. It's kind of like an international bakery, They have empanadas and pies which are sweet or savory

I genuinely had no idea that empanadas could be so insanely delicious. We decided to take a stroll around Noe Valley with the kids and do some window shopping. We all got hungry for lunch. There were delicious smells coming out of Aps Cafe. We went in and decided to try an empanada. We got the chicken empanada and also the potato and leek. They were hot, savory, and surprisingly delicious. So we ordered about 10 of them!!! Highly recommend.

Empanadas, top to bottom: Argentinian Beef, Chicken Mushroom, Chicken Curry | $4.95 each (not warmed up yet)

Fried empanadas for the win! But, can't be eating those on the regular...unless you're a unicorn that's been blessed with an amazing metabolism. For the rest of us that gain weight just *watching* mukbangs, AP's Café gotchu! Opening in 2016, AP's Café serves healthier than the norm empanadas. They're baked and lightly seasoned...a good option if you're watching your cholesterol and salt levels. They're open for takeout with limited seating inside. Delivery is offered via their website. There's a bench outside if you have your doggie with you. M E N U Baked empanadas with global influences: Argentinian beef, curry chicken, masala cauliflower, chicken macaroni cheese, chicken mushroom, potato leek, etc. ($4.95 each). They also offer soups: thai chicken soup + lentil masala and salads ($5.69-$6.45). They partner with Peasant Pie's for savory handheld pies ($6.05-$6.35) and sweet tarts ($6.05 each). Drinks: Coffee, mango lassi and bottles drinks/soda. F O O D Empanadas are $4.95 each in-store and $5.25 each on 3rd party apps. They're sold cold but the staff can warm it up for you. TIP: When warming them up at home, brush some olive oil before air-frying or putting them in the oven so the wrapper doesn't dry out too much. * Chicken Curry (4 stars): https://tinyurl.com/2p9p6rdc * Argentinian Beef (4 stars): https://tinyurl.com/2p9p6rdc * Masala Cauliflower (4 stars) * Potato Leek (4 stars) * Chicken Mushroom (3.5 stars) * Chicken Spinach Empanada (3.5 stars): https://tinyurl.com/5fayuz69 * Chicken Macaroni Empanada (3 stars): https://tinyurl.com/dh5bkefn I've tried most of their empanadas. They're generously filled with a thin, crisp pastry layer (not buttery). My favs are the curry/masala and argentina beef because they have the most flavor/spices. The other ones (non-curry based) run on the bland side which I'm fine with since I don't like overly salty foods. I usually add hot sauce at home. Would be nice if they offered a housemade one. The only one I wouldn't get again is the chicken macaroni...plain and bland, needs more cheese and/or spices. * Peasant Pie's Spicy Clam Pie ($6.35): https://tinyurl.com/5f7ptept Not a fan, the pie crust is like an Israeli-style pita but thicker and denser. The spicy clam filling is ok...tomato based and has this rustic taste to it. IMO, it's more of a stuffed bread than a pie. S E R V I C E Friendly and humble mom and pop type business. They're always kind to label (handwrite) the empanadas even when I politely decline. A M B I A N C E Casual, compact café with one display case and one communal table with stools for seating. P A R K I N G Metered and residential parking. Overall, if you're looking for tasty and healthy empanadas, AP Café gotchu. I usually buy a bunch and keep them in the freezer for a quick WFH meal when I don't have time to cook. Two empanadas with a side soup or salad and you're golden.

So, my husband and I (vegan) were looking for a unique place to take my parents (meat lovers) as we passed through SF, and empanadas sounded like just the right thing to try. My parents ordered the Argentinian beef empanada, chicken & potato pie, and the thai soup. They both thought the empanada/pie were alright, but thoroughly enjoyed the soup. My husband ordered the chicken spinach and thought it was fine, but nothing special. I ordered the cauliflower masala and the garbanzo bean curry pie, and while the curry pie was good, the cauliflower masala was BOMB.

Ap's is a tiny place filled with yummy foods and friendly folks. We were walking near Castro and 24th streets and came upon this little shop. We read the menu (see photo) and smelled the savory scents and went inside. The display case is packed with hand pies - both savory and sweet - plus there are soups, and there is a a frig of beverages. We each ordered 1 empanada and 1 pie. 4 different flavors filled our plates. The proprietor was welcoming, patient, and knew all her stock. The seating area is limited to the storefront window, but we were comfortable and had plenty of room in our corner of the U shaped area that seats about 6-9. Our lunches were heated to perfection, smelled heavenly, tasted delish, and were easy to hand eat. We had our eyes on the sweet pies for dessert, but were too full! But, that's OK - we'll be back next week on another errand and will stop by again --- "life is short, eat dessert first!"

Absolutely my favorite place to get delicious and healthy empanadas and hand pies! No grease. Generous fillings. Love the vegetarian versions as well as the meat ones. But oh that SPICY CLAM pie!!!! Clean place and friendly service, too! I usually get 6 - 10 to go and heat up at home. Sometimes I can't wait and have them heat up for me so I can eat it right away. Some of my favorite empanadas and pies here: *Spicy Clam *Cauliflower Masala *Lentil and Yam *Spicy Garbanzo Bean Curry *Spicy Thai Pork *Argentinian Beef *Potato Curry *Chicken Curry *Chicken Spinach *ok basically everything

    Soups are delicious!

It is tucked away and a bit inconspicuous, so be sure to keep an eye out if you decide to come over here. Since it is near the park, parking is difficult, and taking Muni would be best. The store itself is small, with two tightly packed tables for seating, and the order counter is surrounded by delicious-looking pastries, giving it a homey vibe. I went in the afternoon on a weekend, and there was no line at the time. I really needed a caffeine boost, saw this place on Yelp, and decided to try it out. I try my best to order coffees/drinks that are unique to the place so I can try their signatures and form my best judgment. I decided to order the Thai Caffe Banana Latte and saw that it was labeled as blended with bananas. When I went up to the counter, I asked about the consistency of the latte to ensure it was not a creamy blended drink (like a smoothie) but still liquid, like a typical latte. I am unsure if my question was confusing, but it seemed to bother the person serving me that I was asking questions, and they seemed to be getting impatient with me. When they rang me up, I paid, but I forgot to ask for almond milk since I felt rushed while ordering (even though no one else was in the store at the time). I asked if I could still add it in and pay the upcharge or separate fee. They ended up telling me to just tip them the extra $1 in cash or add it to the Square payment as a tip (I gave $2 in cash because I felt bad for inconveniencing them). When I got the drink, the coffee was strong, bold, and not as sweet as I thought it was going to be (which was fine!). Since the original coffee without banana says it has condensed milk, I thought it was going to have more of that sweet note with the banana, but I could be incorrect in assuming it would be sweeter. That said, the banana itself was mashed into the drink, and unfortunately, I did not taste it very much, though I did sip up some banana pieces. Based on the drinks and the service, perhaps this place just is not for me, but I would not tell you to avoid it either. I would recommend trying it yourself to formulate your own thoughts, since maybe my experience was a one-off and the drink I got was not the one that best represents this cafe!

Lovingly, they arranged for us to meet up for dinner Friday night. We had discussed with my cousins before visiting them that my wife wanted to check out two renowned bakeries in the Bay Area, Tartine and Arizmendi. My cousin and her husband graciously and kindly offered to drive us around downtown San Francisco Saturday morning to visit these bakeries and we had such a great time on our personalized Bay Area foodie tour narrated by my well-informed cousin-in-law (CIL). Our first stop on this belly stuffing foodie tour was Tartine, which served one of the yummiest almond croissants I've ever eaten. That pastry alone warrants a visit to this highly rated and highly reviewed bakery. Since our CIL was in the know about The City's downtown eateries and bakeries, he recommended that we start out early to visit Tartine because he said that lines to these places could get crazy long. Thankfully for us, we got to Tartine before it opened and were second in line to enter. Tartine is a well chronicled bakery with locations around the Bay Area, Los Angeles, and Seoul, Korea. The location we visited is on Guerrero and 18th streets in the Mission District and it's across from Pay And Save Grocery. Parking might be challenging with street and metered parking. As soon as you enter the bakery, there's a hipster and local mom and pop business vibe. You're greeted by glass cases displaying beautiful cakes, pastries, breads, loaves, scones, and cookies. There are stool seats and elevated chairs where you can eat on planks of wood either facing the steady flow of customers or looking outside. I liked how there were paintings hanging from what appeared to be from local artists. The staff were friendly and took care of us pretty quickly. Tartine was our first stop in what would be a fun foodie adventure. Since I always start my day with a cup of coffee, I ordered caramel cappuccino. The foam on top had a beautifully designed heart from the barista, but I like my coffee sweet and after my first sip, I knew I had to add some type of sweetener. I used a lot of their complimentary honey to make it sweeter. My wife, who works in the baking industry, had placed Tartine on her list of places she wanted to visit to experience their scones and pastries. If my wife knew about this bakery, then I knew that I'd be indulging in baked goods of the highest caliber. Of course I let my wife pick what she thought were the best items, but I asked the customer who was the first person in line what Tartine was known for and she said their almond croissants, so when it was our turn to make our selections, I asked for Tartine's Frangipane Croissant, which has almond-cream filling and brandy. Brandy?!!?? Honestly, I don't remember tasting any brandy, but what I do remember was flakiness of the croissant, the thick cut almonds on top, the heartiness of the croissant, and the generous amount of almond-cream filling. It was a beautiful looking pastry and the taste was even better. Seriously, one of the most memorable croissants I've ever eaten. My family and I are blessed to have family willing to take time out of their morning to take us on a guided foodie tour to some iconic bakeries and local eateries. Our first bakery stop was Tartine and after eating that delectable almond croissant, the other bakeries would be hard pressed to beat them.

It's located on Balboa street and it's called Cinderella. On a Spring stroll I landed at Cinderella. Inside you can see and smell the delicious bake goods which can be sweet and some salty like some in SF. On the sweet side I enjoy their honey cake but no donuts . On the savory side it's the piroshkis. My favorite is the beef and cheddar piroshki. It wasn't too cheesy like some in SF but the beef was tender and it almost tastes like a smashed burger ( not to be confused with smash burger) all in a soft bun. The are other interesting items on the menu like Pelmeni which are Russian dumplings and Siberian Pie. You can wash it all down with a Matcha Latte ( for Don Juan de la Matcha) or the Kompot drink. There is a planned expansion to the Mission District in with a location at 2937 24th street. This will be a good Cinderella story for all of San Francisco. Go to a place which has a good piroshki "supply" these piroshki buns get baked and some they do "fry" they have other baked goods and food you can "try" like their Grilled Salmon salad and the Cherry Vareniki the Russian Dumpling which has sour cream & sour cherries or the "Siberian Pie" So go on a stroll to "Cinderella" which is the place when it comes to piroshki and baked goods because they got "hella" tasty variations like the Blinchiki with Caviar with more than a bump and you also have one made with it "Nutella" and this bakery sings to me like a Broadway " A capella"
