The professionalism and fair pricing is gone. Expected to pay the same price per hour for a trainee standing around on his phone or in your bathroom for 30 minutes as you do for a mover actually doing something productive. Their quote for a cross country move was very high because they are locally based, but he offered to look at any other quotes I received and offered some STELLAR advice about questions to ask other movers. I ended up choosing a POD as I needed to store things for several months. David's quote to pack and load my POD was very reasonable, and Nick came out TWICE to be sure my stuff would fit in a POD! The two guys who showed up were great. They packed and handled my things with care, were respectful of my home - including protective coverings for the floor and doorways, and polite but efficient. I waited to post this review until after I unpacked on the east coast. Watching the way the POD was swinging when they unloaded it in my new driveway, I was terrified things were rattling around in there. But when I opened it, everything was snug and secure. Furthermore, I have unpacked everything - including China and very fragile glassware - and not a SINGLE item was damaged. Knowing how that POD got thrown around, I am extra impressed. Many thanks to Faith Moving Co for being the best part of my moving logistics. I highly recommend them.

The pricing is unbeatable, and I've used them twice now. Once moving my parents from their house to a retirement community and then again to move their stuff into storage when they finally had to move into an assisted living facility. Throughout both moves not a single thing was broken, came up missing or was otherwise mishandled. Then to top it all off after they did such an excellent job I wrote them a check which frickin bounced! I haven't bounced a check in twenty years, but I wrote this from an old bank account which was closed without realizing I grabbed the wrong check book. No matter, Joe was very understanding and we met up and took care of it. I expected him to be super unhappy about it but he just shrugged and said these things happen. He's just a super nice guy, a great mover, and overall a godsend when you need to make a smooth transition into a new place.

After describing what I had, he told me there'd be 3-4 guys with a truck showing up at 9:30 AM, he quoted me a time, and a price. They took the utmost care to pad everything, even going to far as to padding the external stair rails, etc. to make sure they damaged neither my furniture or the buildings. They took no breaks, and worked relentlessly, climbing up the stairs (on both ends of the move) to bring everything into the right rooms. They assembled my beds, helped with some additional boxes from a neighbor I hadn't warned them about, and finished right around the quoted time and budget. Even though I now live in Los Alamos and not Santa Fe, I'll be calling them for my next move.

We used Awesome Movers for a local move across town here in Santa Fe…read more We started off on the wrong foot due to apparent communication issues between the owner, the scheduler, and ourselves. This was sorted out, but it admittedly caused us some stress at the outset (especially their failure to inform us that they don't have their own truck and we would need to rent our own truck and moving blankets). The move itself was efficient, fast, and relatively painless. The four men were cheerful, positive, kind, and enjoyed joking around with one another and with us. The mood was upbeat, and they were very pleasant fellows, despite the fact that some of our items had to be lifted to the second floor portal from the top of the truck due to a spiral staircase inside! The hourly rate for four men was very reasonable; we gave each man a $20 tip for their positive vibe, hard work, and cheerfulness. As is our normal practice, we also fed them lunch. There was minimal damage to our things, just a few nicks and scratches. These can be overlooked based on the very pleasant people who cheerfully moved us into our new home, but it would have been nice to have been 100% scratch-free. Without the communication issues and some scratches on a few pieces of furniture, I would consider a 5-star rating.

Once completed, Mr. Rael explains that he, Mr. Rael, is actually the owner/partner of this business, and he asks that I not write a review-at one point even offering my money back. I told him to keep the money as was our deal-I'm not out to rip them off. However, when the dust settled I realized he & Larry cooked this whole thing up to begin with. My advice? Stay far, far away from this outfit.
