Highly recommend! We knew when we purchased our house that we would have to upgrade the electrical. What we didn't know was that it would be so difficult to find someone to do the job. We had at least 3 different electricians out who all left scratching their heads unsure of how to do the upgrade because of the unique layout of the electrical components of our house. Then our neighbors recommended John and he knew immediately how to do the job. He came out to provide a quote, booked the job, was great to communicate with, arrived on time and did an amazing job. Not only that, he made recommendations that we hadn't even considered, like upgrading our recessed lighting, which makes such a big difference! He even installed a home generator hookup for us, and it is obvious he is a true expert in his field. He's a very friendly guy, as is the other gentleman who was working with him, and they did excellent work. Anything Electric will be our first call for any electrical work we need done in the future, and we highly recommend John and his crew! read more

I wish had had seen the other reviews. John was here last Saturday and is texting that we have the "wrong person" in discussing what went wrong. It's odd. He was here to install two lights. The first flush mount light was installed incorrectly. He could not figure out how to put the light fixture together, then insisted it was a product defect. The end result was he had the fixture installed and hanging by its WIRING. Are you kidding me. My husband had to uninstall it (because John insisted it was a product defect), bring it to CT Lighting where they advised the electrician was incorrect, they put it together and my husband ended up installing it. The second fixture was a small chandelier which John insisted the 6" stem could not be removed from the swivel and replaced with the 12" stem. Again he was wrong as verified by the manufacturer. So it is hanging to short. He also could not install it to hang level. Does not look good and I'm concerned about the install. I will need to hire a second electrician to straighten this out. When we contacted John to tell him about the first item and texted him a photo of it correctly installed his response was he would offer us $150 off our next big job. Huh? We don't have another job. Then via text he claimed he didn't know who my husband was. Said "wrong person" even though there is a text trail. I can work with people when projects do not come out exactly right. We tried to give him the benefit of the doubt. But he seems to have moved on with our money and left the installation to us. read more

We "hired" John to perform a few minor repairs at our apartment building. We paid John $1,000 up front and agreed to pay another $1,000 when the work was complete. After consulting several people, we began to have misgivings about the amount of money we agreed to pay for the small amount of work we needed done and requested that John do less work on the service day for $1,000 we had already paid him. John agreed. On the service day, John informed us that he had arrived in town three hours ahead of schedule and was impatient to begin work on the apartment. He asked if we had a hidden key somewhere on the property that he could use to access it without our being present. We informed him that of course we did not, and that we would send an agent to meet with him. Arriving fifteen minutes early to a job is considerate, arriving several hours early is obviously an imposition, but we tolerated it because John had already been paid. While our agent was en route, John negotiated with us further, reducing his rate to an additional $500 for all of the work he initially agreed to do, which we agreed to. When our agent arrived and opened the building, John immediately began replacing power outlets, a minor task that he'd suggested to us that was absolutely not of critical importance and would only improve the apartment cosmetically. Our agent left to perform routine maintenance tasks on the property, and when he returned twenty minutes later, John had already moved the refrigerator, which was in front of the wall where he was supposed to be installing a new wire that afternoon, back into place. When our agent asked whether he had already finished working behind the refrigerator, John said that he had. John then suggested that our agent did not need to remain on the property while he worked, and that another technician would be arriving shortly to assist him. It seems John was preoccupied with finding a way to "work" unobserved. Our agent agreed that he did not need to supervise the work, but that before he left, he wanted to show John a light fixture that had been malfunctioning in recent years. Once it became clear that the light was broken, our agent went on an errand to the store to purchase a new light fixture for John to install. John called us a half hour after our agent left for the store to inform us that his additional technician had not been needed after all, that the work was already finished, and that he had already left. This was roughly an hour after our agent gave him access to our building. When we explained to him that we were quite well aware that he could not possibly have finished the work we hired him to do in the short amount of time that he'd spent at our building, and that we have a great deal of experience working with contractors of every sort, and that we wanted him to return to our building and complete the work he'd agreed to do, he simply said that he no longer wished to collect the additional money that we had agreed to pay him. When he returned with the new light, our agent found all the areas that John had been given access to had been left unlocked. The power outlets that John had replaced were left on the counter along with several of their faceplates, which were new, and which John had been told not to touch, as we'd just replaced them a month prior. Some of our new faceplates were missing. All the trash from John's new installations had been left on the counter, or scattered on the floor, for us to clean up ourselves. Screws were left on the floor, a window sill, and somehow, in the kitchen sink. The single service that John had agreed to perform that he actually made some effort to complete was not even finished. He didn't replace the power outlet near the bedroom closet, presumably because he could not be bothered to look behind the closet door. None of the outlets that we had concerns about were seated in the wall properly, and some were in worse shape than when John arrived. Finally, he also used our toilet and didn't flush, which judging by some other reviews appears to be how John signs his "work." So obviously we are looking for a new electrician and would not rehire this one under any circumstances. Total lack of professionalism, respect, and common decency. read more

Avoid this company! John came over and quoted us a price for installing a switch for our generator. We paid him half up front-$625. He purchased the parts needed and came over to do the job. Once here he struggled with shutting off the main power and then could not remove the old switch. He decided at that point to not do the job and left the parts there and said that we were even. Once I got home and realized that the parts cost nowhere near $625 I reached out to him to come to an agreement. He refused to return any of our money and then refused to communicate further on the matter. Additionally, he used our bathroom, didn't flush (#2) and stole my sons eye cream. The job got done but the experience was awful. Like the other reviewer, I found a piece of my personal property, retrieved from a private drawer, Destroyed and buried in debris to hide it. John didn't remember me just two weeks after coming by for a quote. He came by again and we discussed the job. He got us in quickly and and showed up on time as promised. While here, he was not able to deliver on what was promised at the time of the quote. We were able to pivot for the project which resulted in a hole in my ceiling. Numerous times he suggested adding a light in awkward locations to make his job easier, but that is not what we discussed and it would have left it looking ridiculous. This contractor did not bring his own drop cloths - I had to provide my own after my kitchen was becoming a mess -and made a huge mess without regard or respect for our home. My home was a complete mess and I had to clean drywall and electrical wiring debris from the floors, counters and stovetop. It was like preschoolers came through. Other contractors have been respectful and have left my home spotless. Appreciate the job completion and showing up but that's about it. Looking back we would've gone with someone else. read more

John did a great job with my outdoor lighting. He was one of the lowest price and was neat and efficient. He even walked me through using the smart app for the lights. I have a long driveway and his suggestion for a smart light has saved me a lot of dark nights. We will be calling him when I am ready to do my kitchen lights. read more
