Terrible! They came out and did a service on my A/C. All that was done is they changed the filter. I was not home but I got a list of "issues" that needed to be repaired. But on the checklist of my A/C unit everything was OK. So the next day my wife turns on the A/C and it freezes up. She calls Any Hour and they tell us that we will have to pay to have another tech come out. The list of "issues" was over $1600 to fix! I called a local Ogden company and spoke to the owner on the phone for 30 minutes. He took the time and all that was needed was to open a few vents that were closed. Any Hours is a rip off. I was told that the techs get a commission on what they sell the customer. Beware. Never again will this place get my money! read more

It could have been a lot better, but they were very poor when it came to customer service too. It would take several days to get back to me. They charged an outrageous price to replace a sewer line, they always have excuses for everything they did wrong. I felt very violated, very over charged, especially for the short 6 hours of time they were there, and the residential price was $21,970 The replacement of the sidewalk and curb was not very good either. They still have to come back and take away the excess dirt they left so the trench could settle. I contacted Any Hour Electric Plumbing Heating & Air (as recommended by HomeAdvisor) to install an outside stand-by generator for our residence in Draper. They were prompt and the installation was over two days. Scott and his crew arrived every morning and worked into the evenings to finish the job, then came back out three days later to take care of some final odds and ends plus to make sure everything was working well. I was kept well informed with regards to the project and each day's plans, and received a final briefing on the generator functions at the end. Follow up by the main office was good as well. If I could give 0 stars I would. These guys quoted me over $ 12,000.00 to replace our duplex's heating and air conditioning. I got 3 other quotes and the one I went with was about half the amount Any Hour quoted me. They even had the gall to say they were giving us a discount of $6,000! So it would have been over $18,000 dollars to replace the units! Always, always get multiple estimates. You will be amazed at different pricing. Luckily, my brother- in-law is in the HVAC business in a So. Cal and confirmed what crooks these guys are. Do not trust them. The supervisor ("sales") guy couldn't even tell me specific reasons why the heating and a/c units needed to be replaced. He said his technician assessed it, not him. I dealt with Jordan and he was an immature, obviously uneducated "supervisor" who kept pointing out their high ratings. Buyer beware, these guys are crooks. Look elsewhere read more

I scheduled an A/C tune up for the special price of $29. The tech did a great job and found our capacitor was faulty. He told us he had one on the truck and it would cost $207 to replace it. We had no idea if that was fair or not. We authorized the repair. He said he could give us a $50 off coupon. The total bill was $186. That included the part and the $29. I found out later that part cost $10 on Amazon. Any Hour sure made up their service call charge on us. I talked to a service representative and he said that is how we pay for our 5 star service techs. A bit underhanded to say the least. read more

Would not recommend Any Hour Electric, Plumbing, Heating and Air to my worst enemy. Charged $921.00 to cut a 3 foot hole in my drywall to add a 3 foot pipe with a water regulator and a shut off handle. These parts can be purchased for well under $200.00 took him about 3 hours to do the work. Did a good job, the kid was nice but, woman, elderly and someone not knowing anything about plumbing you need to get a second opinion. I was surely taken advantage of and will never use this company again. I will tell everyone to never use them. read more

They were the only company that could come take a look at our central air AC unit when it went out one very hot afternoon. Without any prior knowledge about Any Hour, we asked that they come out. 1. Response Charge: $59 just to come to your house. Did not count towards the services we bought. Tech quoted it was to cover gas to come out. I asked where he drove from... Orem to Provo. $59. Please! 2. Service and Parts Pricing: My experience with any other service provider is that they quote prices based on logic. Part 'X' costs 'Y' and add labor which is 'Z'. Instead, Any Hour has what they ironically call 'Straight Forward Pricing'. $266 flat to replace a capacitor on an AC unit. When asked to break down what portion is for parts versus service, tech said he could/would not say. It is 'straight forward pricing'. It took the tech 10min to replace the part which I later found ranges from $13-$99. I feel swindled. Don't use Any Hour. read more

We called early in the morning last Saturday to schedule an appointment for our sink. They said they were going to come between 12:00-4:00pm. At 3:30 they called and said they wont be able to come. That was extremely frustrating because by that time we weren't able to call another company to come. It was very unprofessional. They said they had some emergency calls come in that they needed to take care of. Well, they should have said no to those additional calls, and should have kept their word that they were coming to help us. We tried calling 10 different places, but no one could come that late in the day. So we rescheduled with Any hour because they offered $20 off their next visit. They came out the following Monday. We have a weird musty/mildew smell coming out of our sink. They couldn't smell it and talked about why sulfer smells can appear. I told them at least 4 times that it wasn't a sulfer smell and they brought that up at least 7 times. They guessed that it was our faucet connectors, and replaced them for $107, when they only cost $8. A week has gone by and the nasty smell is still there. We had another plumber come out today and he diagnosed that it was the faucet itself, replaced it in 30 minutes, and was way cheaper. He could smell the musty smell. He was quicker, smarter, and cheaper! read more

I am giving this a one star only because there isn't anything less. I had some electrical done this summer from this company to get a "less expensive " price I purchased the "Comfort Assurance Plan". I was told by the technician and by the brochure that I was given that I would get a call to schedule a fall furnace tune up. I never got a call so I called them to schedule. They cannot get me scheduled until mid December. What a crap service. I will be getting my furnace looked at at about the same time I will need to call them and schedule my AC service or I won't get that done either I am sure. Do not take the "upgrade" no matter how much the savings is it isn't a savings if you can't get what you paid for. read more

When they come out and tell you your water heater needs replacing- and hey, it really is broken, but you have another working one, so you almost fall for it, until they criticize the work on the first water heater-that you just replaced last year-that is their own work! They were supposed to put two earthquake straps on the water heater they installed last year, pointed out their own mistake (they only put one on), and then tried to say we also needed a new furnace, new water softener and new water gauge. Why would I trust someone who doesn't even do the job right the first time?! And yes, other plumbers and hvac people confirmed their lies and scare tactics. read more

He asked what it would take to get us to do business with them and I said we were getting bids on our furnace and AC so we weren't going to finalize right now . He said, "I don't want to waste Any Hour time." I asked if he thought I was wasting his time. He said, " I didn't say that. I don't want to waste your time and I'm sure you don't want to waste my time." I told him that if he thought I was wasting his time he was welcome to go. He said, "If I'm bidding against a friend of the family, I'm wasting my time. I'm a friend of the family to other people and I know how that goes. " He then packed up his ipad and keyboard and said, "I'm feeling very uncomfortable right now! I feel very uncomfortable!" Both of my kids in the same room raised their eyebrows and turned their heads like "Okayee". Super weird. I would leave zero stars if possible. read more

I normally don't bother with ratings, but this one needed to be done. I called for help from these folks when a blown ballast in a fluorescent fixture took out most of the lighting in one of the office suites in our office building. They responded with a tech within about 5 hours of our call (good). The tech replaced the ballast and presented me with a bill for $670 (bad). I questioned him about why the high price. His answer: "these are expensive ballasts". Within 3 weeks, the fixture blew again. A licensed, independent electrical contractor was then called who came the next day. He confirmed that the replacement ballast had been incorrectly wired when installed. He also indicated that the cost of a replacement ballast was in the range of $35. His charge to repair the fixture and correct the problems caused by the Any Hour folks was $350. Any Hour is a very expensive service and based on the botched repair for me, I'd not only not recommend them, I'd go out of my way to steer clear. read more

Overall, a rough experience from start to finish. Took a while to get someone out to our house, and they were two hours late to the appointment. The plumber that came wasn't especially kind or helpful, just seemed annoyed in general. I'm fine with that but he left saying that everything was fixed. I went back in to our bathroom, and we still had the original leak.. I ran out to catch him before he left. He just shook his head as I came up to him, but agreed to try and fix it again. Like double what the other companies were. They quoted 4 different options. Good, better, best, and a budget option. I see a lot of 5-star reviews, so hopefully it was just my technician, but I would advise anyone-DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. I feel so violated, the technician used scare tactics to try and get us to spend thousands of dollars on things that weren't necessary. I am a landlord and our tenants said the furnace was having problems and was shutting down at night. We called Any Hour to diagnose the problem. The first thing that was fishy to me was that the tech said he wasn't exactly sure what was causing the error code, but gave me a laundry list of several components that he said need to be replaced, totaling close to $1000, and one of those "should do the job". Next, and even worse, the technician said that the furnace heat exchanger was bad and would cost $2500 to replace, yet also said it wasn't emitting any carbon monoxide (An Oxymoron). He told my tenants they were in danger and the furnace should be replaced. Obviously the tenants got the crap scared out of them and he left us feeling like we had no other option. I am so glad I got a 2nd opinion. I had a technician from another company come out and I explained everything the person from Any Hour Services had said. He brought in his equipment and individually tested each component that the "Any Hour Tech" said needed to be replaced. He showed me the numbers on his equipment and that everything was in an acceptable working range, the heat sensor just needed to be cleaned. He even took the time to teach me how to clean the burners, which wasn't that hard. We did it together right there. Any Hour services wanted to charge me $150 bucks for that. The new tech then did a thorough inspection of the heat exchanger, and found it to be in working order, but to put the tenants and me at ease, he used more equipment to test and determine if any carbon monoxide was leaking and found that it was not. The whole visit, cost $30. Any Hour Services tried to scare us into spending thousands of dollars. My tenants have said the furnace is working perfectly fine now. The practice of the Any Hour Service tech was very unethical. read more

One of the "issues" was the unit was "rocking back and forth". They discovered this during their visit when they came out to service our unit. (Which we paid for this in a $20 monthly fee). They wanted over $300 to level the unit!!! I went out there and did it myself. Which took about 5 mins. How in the heck can they not take the time to move some dirt and stabilize the unit in a service call??? This company is a complete rip off and has zero customer service. We just purchased our new home and we knew the furnace was past its prime. We had a coupon in the mail and decided to give them a call. The maintenance went well and the serviceman told us that the furnace was 18 years old. He said he could have someone return to give us a quote. The guy came and was clean and friendly. The gave us several options, but having some no research we had nothing to compare the quotes to. It was my own dang fault, but I fell for the high pressure sales tactics. We paid $4200 for a service we hence found we could have gotten for under $3000. STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY! I had their VIP plan where they come out and "tune"/"check up" furnace and A/C on a regular basis. The first visit, their findings cost me $522 to "fix" issues they reported with my furnace, that was Feb. 2020. June 2020, the next visit, to check A/C. The two technicians sat at my kitchen table and informed me that the main motor on the furnace and A/C was leaking oil and would most likely cease to operate soon, plus, both the fan blades on both my A/C's had bad bearings, that when spun by hand, they both would turn about 1/2 revolution, then catch and abruptly stop. They too, were failing. They started to put together a quote on how much it would cost to fix, but strongly suggested that I replace both furnaces and both A/C units, since they were over 13 years old and nearing their proposed 14 year life span. So, a few days later, a Supervisor comes to our house to give us pricing on replacing part or all of our system, depending on what we choose to do. I did not want to be nickel'd and dime'd to death each time they came out for a "tuneup" / "check-up" and received pricing to replace all four units to the tune of $22,000+. The Supervisor looked at what was reported by the technicians and said that replacing would be the best bet. But, he did not inspect our systems himself, only the report by the first two technician. After getting the pricing, I called two other HVAC companies and scheduled their technicians to arrive on the same day, one in the morning, one in the afternoon a few days after being quoted the large sum to replace. When each other technician arrived, I posed only two questions to each of them. 1) Show me the oil/grease leak from the main motor in my main HVAC system, 2) Show me the evidence of bad bearings in both my AC units. After checking my HVAC sytem, I received the EXACT same answer from both of them. 1) There is no leak in this motor, in fact, this cannot be the original motor for this system because it looks very new and not dirty at all. 2) Oh, that is easy to identify, we just need to spin the blades. Oh look! These blades have rotated over 8 revolutions and slowly came to a NORMAL stop, not one single bit of evidence that the bearings are bad at all. The next question from both of these other technicians from well known companies in Utah County, "Who told you this motor was dripping and that these fans were bad? There are numerous years of life left in this system." Any Hour Electric, Plumbing, and Heating! Their technicians lie right to your face to get you to buy a new system to the tune of an exorbitant sum of money! Then, to make it even more interesting. I told my Realtor, when I first found out about the so-called failing issue, that I had to replace both furnaces and both A/C units. He replied "Really? The Inspector cleared all four of those units and gave them a long life span ahead of them. That seems very strange that they would be going out in 8 months from inspection." He then proceeded to tell me of an HVAC company that tried to get him to replace his A/C unit, saying it was leaking CO and very dangerous. He had it checked with a different company and there was no leak detected, AT ALL. I told him, "stay away from Any Hour Electric, Plumbing, and Heating." He laughed and quickly responded, "That's the same company that told me of the CO leak! LOL!" Now, I know that not every company has ALL bad, lying employees, and that I bet Any Hour has some very good, honest, reputable people. And it is most likely those individuals that people, who have given this company a good review, dealt with. From my experience -- don't take the chance! Or, if you do, make sure to get at least two more opinions from other good quality sources to verify. It is extremely hard to find honest, reputable, trustworthy service people anymore. They charged an absurd amount for 30 minutes of work and made me pay for the part, promising I would get it refunded back to my card, without actually telling me how much it would be. ***Stay AWAY!!*** Long story short: I sensed I was being taken advantage of, so I called my brother-in-law, Steve, back East who has been doing HVAC for 30 years. I did this while the tech was here. Unfortunately, Steve was busy and I didn't hear back from him until the tech left. In the interim, I reluctantly told the tech to go ahead and perform the work. When I finally heard from Steve, he was irate. He had since listened to my voicemail with all the pricing particulars($319 to replace a contactor and $226 for 1 lbs. of Puron. The total bill was $609 AFTER "discounts"!) He said, "You weren't 'taken advantage of,' you were ripped off!! The contactor is about a $20-part so, in essence, you were charged $300 for a 5 to 10-minute installation. As for the Puron(i.e., refrigerant...newer iteration of Freon), we charge $65 for the first pound...you were charged $226??!! What they did to you was not only completely unethical, but a total F U to you as a consumer and person!" He was so impassioned, he demanded their phone number from me and called them immediately. A secretary refused to pass him to a higher-up, and said someone from their "Follow Up" department would call him back in a couple of days. It made us wonder, just how backlogged is their Follow-Up department? It didn't seem like a good sign to us. I called subsequently to voice my own complaints and I also was refused a supervisor and given the same circuitous runaround. I then immediately called a consumer affairs lawyer to ask if I could put a stop on my check. He advised against it despite the fact that he also thought I was price gouged. He said I should consider it a $600 lesson to never call Any Hour under ANY circumstances. I'm quite certain management will have their own "explanations", but as one consumer to another, I highly advise you to take your business elsewhere. read more

Very disappointed in the service we were given. We called for a plumber on Thursday morning but were told we couldn't be serviced until Monday. We only have 1 bathroom in our apartment, so that wouldn't work. They finally sent an inexperienced plumber to our house after hours and he only augered our toilet one time. Within 36 hours we had to call a different plumber who actually pulled the object out of our toilet because Any Hour said they couldn't come until Monday, again. read more

We've had Any Hour out before for an AC tune up. We were very happy with the service and cost. This time we had a plumber out and he was very nice and skilled, however the pricing was outrageous! He replaced a toilet valve and a flapper on a noisy toilet. He was working on it for 20 minutes. The total? $305. THEN I showed him the coupon I had and he deducted $50. New total? $255. The technician Justin S. did his job just fine. However he had to spend more time trying to upsell me on everything under the sun that he could do for me, than the actual work I needed him to do. I dont blame this on him, just the policies of the company he works for. Ultimately he worked for about 30mins locating and getting power to a location for me (not actually hooking up the smoke detector mind you... that was extra) and it cost me $250 (with discount coupons). I think thats more than a doctor charges, so I cant say that I will ever call Any Hour again. read more
