This was my first time hiring a professional moving company and Antz Movers has definitely set the bar high! I had an issue with the moving company I had hired initially and was left with everything packed but with no one to move me. My friend had previously recommended Antz Movers so I decided to give them a call and was surprised when they were able to fit me in their schedule for the same day. They even showed up earlier than expected. My main concern was my fragile mirrored furniture and a very large expensive mirror. I booked Antz because they had such positive reviews on Yelp, and I am so happy I did. Prior to the move, they were so easy-going, I was a little afraid it was too good to be true. Maybe they wouldn't show? Well, they arrived 20 minutes early, and they worked hard all day! They were so professional, friendly, careful (to the point of protecting all the corners in the house with cardboard). Antz movers took care of everything. Disassembling, re-assembling, handled the re-hookups of the washer and dryer. They even moved our very heavy baby grand piano extremely carefully. Very disappointing experience. The owner did not honor requests to not stack boxes so high in the truck and consequently, the lids were crushed in. Some of the helpers were newly hired and didn't even know the others names in the crew. They didn't seemed trained well. Some pictures were broken. Antz Movers did a great job delivering and moving some furniture for us. They were very careful taking a large armoire and bed up some narrow stairs to the second floor of our home. Antz movers helped me move this past Saturday, and I couldn't have had a better moving experience. They called ahead and asked if it was ok if they showed up early, which was really nice, as no one likes to drag moving day out any longer than it has to be. As a single woman moving alone, I was nervous about movers. Jose and Obi were like my uncles that came to help me move- they kindly took charge of everything, even discovered stuff in a closet that I'd overlooked. They carried a heavy front loading washer that was too big to use on a dolly without a second thought. In all our moving experiences, some bad and some good, we have never had such outstanding service as that provided by Antz Movers Jose and his crew worked non-stop from 8 AM to 7 PM, moving our belongings from the Austin area to McKinney, then had to drive back to the Austin area. Everything arrived in McKinney without any damage due to the outstanding loading job and the care the rest of the crew demonstrated in wrapping our furniture. Well they were supposed to show up at 9am the came..at 9:30...I thought there was going to be a three man crew a there was not..and only two..as they confirmed the rate of 250..they made me aware of an any additional time would be 110 dollars more an hour...the two guys worked harder then most movers I seen ..work and I trusted them..I had to run ..and life them to work..even though it took them an hour to pack up my place they made there way to my new place...brought all my things in as I handle other things thru out the day..only went over by one hour and pay only 70 not 110 and all my stuff was in..Great Job and thanks.. read more

After contracting for two movers they showed up with three and changed the hourly rate they quoted me from $120 to $140 an hour. I thought that would mean the move would go quickly. They loaded the truck quickly and I offered to get them lunch. Meeting at the new location once I arrived I was told they were going on a break. The unloading took much, much longer. One hour to load turned into 3 hours to unload. Once the time rolled into the fourth hour (within 15 minutes) they told me they were done, but I still had to pay for the full hour. Another ten minutes for them to find the paperwork. After the move I found items damaged and a wall damaged as well. I called and talked to the manager and sent pictures and have heard nothing since. read more

Moving is one of the most difficult things we humans do, For me it is even harder I think, I moved to Katy from Round Rock and a storage in between. my first movers were a nightmare. The boss was always on his phone and complained about the things I had already agreed upon. All around movers, It was terrible..they didn,t mark the boxes they packed and the boss would say things like " you should pack that so it does not break. Dang, I hired you so you could pack the things most precious to me. I was so wrong in trusting the sweet lady that came to my house. Antz mover's were so absolutely wonderful, I can hardly explain. I called because they had great yelp reviews and I crossed my fingers, because I had to give them the key and trust that they would come to Katy with all of my stuff. The guy's were so awesome! They even put the protective pads on the furniture on my furniture so it would not scratch the floors as they came into the house. There were three men, and each of them were very concerned about how and where the furniture was to go. I was so amazed at the way these guys worked. They were here when they said they would be here and I just felt very comfortable with them right off the bat. If you are moving to or from austin this is the only company I would recommend . Hands down the very best attitude and great customer service. Check this out: My son gave me a table and chairs and a living room set along with two bedrooms of furniture. This was like a full house move. His house is close to my new house, but still..they did it with no extra cost..my son gave them a good tip and so did I but I would have given them much much more if I could have.
