I went to this Anton's two days after my wedding. I asked them to remove a small wine stain on the bottom of the front of the dress and to preserve the dress (they called it heirlooming). I gave them the dress in the white dress bag I purchased it in. They quoted me a hefty price of almost $300 and told me they were sending it to Rhode Island to be cleaned and preserved and that I would get it back shrink wrapped, boxed, and ready for storage. When my husband returned to pick up the dress he got it back in a clear plastic garment bag, not even the original opaque bag that was made for the dress, and it hadn't been preserved at all. The manager told my husband that we never asked for it to be preserved and tried to charge him the full amount. Then when I called, the manager told me that it was the other company that had messed it up and that he took $100 off which was double the cost of what I didn't get which was just shrink wrapping and boxing. When I asked what I did get for services he would not tell me and just kept saying what we didn't get. So we still payed a ridiculous price for I don't know what and now I have to hope that my dress doesn't get damaged on our move across country. They didn't even offer to get it completed in the time we have remaining in town, they just hung us out to dry. If what the manager said was true and it was the other company that misread the tag then he should have recognized that the dress was not - in fact - in a box ready for storage when it came back to the shop. They had plenty of time before we picked it up to fix the problem and never even called. They just waited because they knew we are moving and that it wouldn't be their problem anymore. read more
