Pizza here was super good. Definitely going to be my new go to local pizza spot. Sat down with the gf in there courtyard to eat it's a really chill spot. Oscar went above and beyond with customer service when our pizza was taking a little longer than usual but it was so worth it for the slight wait. Wanted to give Antonious another shot after the new ownership, especially since they did a great job renovating the building it looks really nice! Unfortunately, the experience didn't quite match. The cashier seemed frustrated, which I can understand since the air conditioning was out, but the interaction felt pretty unhelpful. I asked about the difference between thick and thin crust, and the explanation wasn't very clear. Estimated wait time was about 20 minutes for our pizza, which was super quick! But the overall atmosphere just didn't feel welcoming. Even with ownership in the building, no one greeted us or acknowledged the situation with the AC being out. A simple welcome or apology would've gone a long way. As for the food, the pizza had an excessive amount of cheese, which threw off the balance a bit. I know it's still early with the new ownership, and I'm hoping things improve because there's definitely potential. This was not a good. Ordered through Grubhub and their pizza was the most bland pizza I've ever had in my life. I asked for extra sauce and I honestly couldn't tell the sauce from the bread, the cheese from the pepperoni, it was all so bland literally one taste. They delivered fast, I can give them that. I hate to leave bad reviews to small business, I ordered a pepperoni pizza with extra cheese and wings, pizza taste weird, bland, the cheese and pepperoni had no flavor the sauce was not good the crust was the only good thing. We have been buying from here to help support a local business, but our visit yesterday will be our last. So many things went wrong that we Left completely enraged and honestly baffled at how they run a business so poorly. 1. We ordered online at about 6:25 pm and received notification that order was ready at 7pm. Order was "ready" at 7:25. (Ok we were kind of expecting this, that's how they roll here) 2. At 7:25 checked to find order was missing Buffalo wings. Was told we didn't order wings, one of the older ladies eventually checked the ticket, then said come back in 10 mins for your wings, she seemed mad. (Ugh.. but ok these things happen, but why are you mad at us?). She takes rest of order (pizza, and lasagna) back behind counter while we wait for wings. 3. 7:39pm, wings are done... return to store, she gives us wings, and pizza... we ask for the lasagna that was with the order, she tells us that we took it earlier. My husband proceeds to tell her no that they took the order back when they didn't have the wings to check the orders in their bagged orders. She adamantly said no, and that we have it. My husband walks back to me sitting in the car to just do a sanity check in case he was wrong. I tell him no, she took the entire order back, you just took the soda. My husband returns to the store and asks her again to just check behind the counter. She refuses. SHE THEN DEMANDS TO SEARCH OUR CAR for the lasagna!! WTH? Ok we let her search, she mumbles that I'm "hiding it" because I'm sitting in the car with my dogs. Then demands we open the trunk by yelling "OPEN THE TRUNK!" Several times in the parking lot. We are in shock at this point. Open the trunk. She Is able to observe that there's no precious lasagna anywhere in my vehicle, storms up the stairs into the store and looks behind the counter, and has the other woman grab a bag and yells at her to hand it to my husband. SHE DID NOT APOLOGIZE . Instead she said something to the effect of "there's your food, leave" My husband had some choice words for her at this point. Who wouldn't? She's just accused regular paying customers that were very patient of stealing LASAGNA.... All this After waiting for them to correct their own mistake and being very late with the order. 4. Got home and Buffalo wings were bare no sauce.(as if things couldn't get worse) Order from ANY OTHER small business in GT, and beware of this place, the people running this place have lost their minds. I hate to write something so negative about a small local business but this place is out of control with the abuse they inflict on customers. read more
