The food is pretty good here, but the chips are very tough compared to the other Mexican restaurants in town. The customer service is horrendous for takeout, sat in once it was okay and twice or take out a young girl is at the desk and extremely nasty and careless. First off this reviews isn't an exaggeration. Service was great, salsa was good but the queso tasted like it came from a can. I ordered the carne guisada and my wife ordered cheese enchiladas. The carne guisada is supposed to be stew meat, meaning it should be very tender. NOT. Tasted like the meat had been frozen and just cooked and covered with a gravy mixture. Beans and rice were average. Overall terrible. My wife's cheese enchiladas were lukewarm at best and the cheese wasn't even melted. Like a said service and salsa were the best part. This is my favorite Mexican Food Restaurant in town. Food is always fresh, staff is exceptional and love love the Hot Sauce. The salsa Verde is always a nice add on to the traditional hot sauce. Our favorote plate is the "Mary Lou" that's currently not on the menu. Its fajita meat ( beef or chicken, your choice), avocado slices,lettuce, tomato and corn tortillas. I recommend the "sabrosa" table-side guacamole, it's great. But don't be afraid to ask for more or less of the jalapenos, onions, etc. The chips are usually pretty good, with plenty of texture or "figure"- but sometimes, every great now and then, you get what look like corn pringles. Smooth and flavorless. The salsa is also above average. I usually stay away from anything involving fajita type beef here. I find it pretty bland and often overcooked. The beef fajita plates are pretty uninspired. The enchiladas and tacos are average or better. Nachos are also a good choice. Avoid the chile con queso. Bland and featureless velveta. The waitstaff, just like anywhere else, can be really attentive or sullen. Bur most times, it's above average without the fake "I'm your new BFF" of some of the chain restaurants. it seems like they may have had some sudden turnover in the waitstaff recently and were short-staffed for a while, but now appear to be fully staffed again. Management is always friendly and attentive. Prices are very reasonable and the décor is low key. Cleanliness is at least average. A good choice for TexMex in Weatherford. Avoid the chains and over-priced one-off places in town. This place can be summed up as: Above average food at reasonable prices with a usually attentive waitstaff in an unpretentious setting. No other sit-down TexMex place in Weatherford hits all those notes. read more

We ordered beef burritos, cheese enchiladas, and nachos. The Nachos were great, individually prepped nachos. The Burritos were good, not great but basically ground beef rolled in a tortilla, the cheese enchiladas were okay, but lacked a creaminess that I usually like in a cheese enchilada. The chips and salsa were very good, freshly prepped. The highlight of the visit was the staff. Everyone was friendly and attentive. Not only the waitstaff themselves but also the man that I can only assume was the manager. We will definitely visit again and try out other items on the menu. read more

Went here for a big family dinner...early because we had 4 boys under six years old. They reserved a nice big table for the nine of us and were kept busy with the endless ordering of drinks after a hot day. Good chow and nice service. Would have liked the meals served a little earlier before the hungry boys all pigged out on the great chips and salsa. But tough to get everything ready on time for a crowd like that. And the fajitas were NOT fajitas .. I promise you they were steak and potatoes .. Who puts potatoes in fajitas ?!? Everything was bland and tasted like thick cooking oil .. I hated this place .. I was fortunate to have a host familiar with the area suggest Antonio's. Their menu covers everything you could want. Their drafts come in huge frosted mugs. The service; first rate. Everyone was friendly, the manager checked in on us multiple times as did the waitress. We had a party of 10 and they let us move tables around as we liked and no one was forgotten. We arrived about 7:00 on a Friday evening, waited few minutes, and were seated. No messing around, it's a pretty big place inside. Noise and busy. Very good experience all around. read more

Well, well. We have eaten at Antonio's previously. It wasn't superb, but not bad either. But this time, it was really lacking. We ate here on a Sunday afternoon when there was a very small crowd. So no excuses for not having superb food and service, right? We were seated promptly. The waitress took our order promptly. Our food arrived quickly. But that's when the trouble started. We ordered 2 premium margaritas. $9 each. No problem. Both were supposed to be frozen. Both arrived on the rocks. The waitress took one back to remake it. By the time she got back, we were almost finished with our meal. And she only brought one. In addition, the chicken on my nachos was dry and tough. There were no apologies for the poor service or food. No discounts on the check. No nothing. What a bummer. Very substandard Mexican food for a $50 bill. There are too many Tex-mex restaurants in the area that serve great food and drinks. We won't be back. read more

I have dined here as well as gotten take out and am consistently happy with the food and service. I usually get the El Supper as I love the three different enchiladas that come with it.
