BIG FLAVOR PIZZA... This Shenandoah Square Plaza in Davie has several choices for meals. I've notice this non-commercialized pizza restaurant, Antonio's Pizza-Rant, on a daily basis but have never walked in, until this evening. The scent of garlic sauce was flowing in the air as I approached the front counter and met with the owner, Antonio, who immediately was a verified people person. The big pizza ovens and toppings counter was very clean which exemplifies the work ethic of a proud owner. I grabbed one slice of a cheese pizza which only set me back $3.25 thats much lower than other pizza slices sold in the area. The pleasantly hot slice instantly put a smile on my face. An extreme necessary char on the bottom with a flawless crispy crust. Some pizza enthusiasts enjoy an over doughy pizza, I loathe it. This glorious slice was medium to well done and it passed the flop test. Now, the highly anticipated first bite onto the front edge while starring at the glistening oily cheese. Took long chews from this initial bite and was overwhelmed by an explosion of flavor with the excitement of the char bottom crackling with every chew. My daughter, a self proclaimed pizza fanatic, also took a big bite and we immediately glanced at each other and started laughing in awe that the taste was superb and oddly unexpected. An easy 8.7/10 pizza rating. This restaurant has a complete Italian based menu. They offer very good deals for lunch entrees for about $12.00. Includes soup or salad with three garlic rolls. Monday - Saturday 11a - 330p. LASAGNA BAKED ZITI RAVIOLI CHICKEN MARSALA PENNE ALFREDO CHICKEN FRANCESE SPAGHETTI and MEATBALLS SAUSAGE and PEPPERS ZITI with BROCCOLI EGGPLANT PARMIGIANA They offer cold bottle beer, catering and entertain reservations for large groups. The bathroom was very clean too, which is vital and appreciated.

Naked Farmer is in Sunrise and offers some fresh food for dine in or on the go…read more The first time I had Naked Farmer was in Tampa and was so excited when I learned that they had a location in South FL to try. We came after a busy morning at the beach and I was craving something fresh. After a quick search on Yelp, I found Naked Farmer and was reminded that we were super close to it. It's fairly close to Sawgrass Mills mall and is in a plaza with a good amount of parking. Although the outside seems small, the space inside is pretty long and has a good amount of seating. The servining is "chipotle-style" where you order your food and customize it how you want it and pay at the register at the end. I shared a bowl with my partner and we got half rice and half greens, some toppings, and the chicken thigh. This was a good amount for us to share and it was delicious! We also tried their date cake and my partner was a huge fan of it. I loved how clean the inside was and how nice all the staff was. They had water cups for self service and it was cold even without ice, which I loved! When you're done with your food, you put them away in a cabinet which is constantly cleaned out by staff which helped give the space a clean aesthetic. Very thought through and intentional on their behalf. Loved Naked Farmer and would definitely get again if I'm in the area or craving something fresh!

And the place is brightly lit and seems to be really clean. On this day, I decided to try the roasted chicken. I believe it was supposed to have some type of rosemary on it. I'm not sure what's going on these days but it seems like most places are cooking chicken when it's still frozen. It just had that cooked from frozen texture to it. It was tough and bland. I tried the macaroni and cheese, which I did like and the carrots, which I also did like, both solid sides something I would get again. I was able to get the kale Caesar with my plate, which I thought was excellent. It had the right amount of dressing on it. I do plan on returning to try the salmon. Hopefully I have a better experience with that.

I grew up with Lebanese neighbors and also restaurants around and I have to say that since I've been in this country (different state) I haven't been able to had a almond rice with chicken like the one I had home: I actually cried a little! (Tears of joy, of course!). I started with a Tabbouleh salad (so fresh!) and kibbehs (perfectly cooked). For my protein I had the chicken Taouk- not dried at all, so flavorful! And the Lebanese chicken almond rice that was just exactly how it's supposed to be! Of course I couldn't finish all that food but I had to get some dessert and the Baklava is my fav, here they serve it with pistachio rolled ice cream. Oh boy was I full! It was worth every penny. This place did more than delivery a great meal: they took me back to my childhood. The tables, chairs, decor and music were on point and they take care of their customers in a timely manner, very efficient. I recommend. Can't wait to come back!
