Excellent food. Recently moved to Elkhart and this was our first time. We will be back.

Absolutely the finest Italian food in northern Indiana. Wonderful environment, fanatic menus, full of the classic Italian dishes, as well as some I've never had. They've got a full bar, with an especially large wine selection. The service is second to none. The staff is highly knowledgeable as far as Italian food and drink, attentive, and makes you feel like you're a member of the Antonio's family. This was my first time trying Antonio's. I had the "Italian Stallion". Dude. This pie is no joke. This is one of the best pizzas I've ever eaten and I've eaten them all over the world. it's got 80 pepperonis on it. It gots meatballs. It's got your sassages. It's got bacon up in it. It's got mozzarella. And provolone. (I added some grated Parmesan on, But I'm kinda that R word you can't say anymore) The crust is ridiculous. Soft and supple bread that has a hint of sourdough. A little oily. But the kind of oily that you like. You know. Like you don't give a #%$& about your cholesterol right now because on Monday you're going on a diet that lasts till Friday. It's crispy along the edges right where it needs to be. But I'll keep this clean because you might be someone's Nana or Grampy. but back to our story. This pie weighs like 12 or 16 lbs. just look at the picture of it. LOOK AT IT. I have 515 "friends" on face book. And not one of those jackholes told me about this pizza. You go get yourself one. Had our first takeout tonight from them. The stuffed bread sticks with marinara sauce was great! I really liked my chicken parmesan dinner and my husband really liked his lasagna dinner. They serve Large portions and the bread and salad were an unexpected surprise! Took 10 to 15 minute longers to get ready. But the food was really good!! read more

We (a party of 6) dined at Antonio's Restaurant in Elkhart Indiana a few days ago. This was the first visit for my wife and I. However it came well recommended by the other couples we were with as they had been there before. This is an Italian themed restaurant with a variety of foods found in most Italian restaurants including several styles of pizzas with several ingredients offered. One couple had a thin crust pizza, the other couple had the "Italian Stallion" pizza, and we had the deep dish pizza. All three pizzas came out hot and all were enjoyed greatly. As I looked around at other diners nearby, there was a variety of other meals being served and everyone appeared to be enjoying themselves and their meals. The restaurant's ambiance is pleasing and accentuates the Italian theme. The pricing is good and "middle of the road". The service was somewhat slow but perhaps that was due to what we had ordered. Just a guess. One thing new diners should be aware of. Antonio's adds 4% to the bill for charge card use. It is mentioned at the bottom of the menu ( in small print) however I missed it and got surprised. Parking area is large. Overall I would return again to this restaurant --- with cash. read more

This place is iffy. You'll either get great service and great food or the complete opposite. We love it because it close to home but the wait times can reach over an hour for pizza!!! If you're dinning in and they're busy it's very chaotic and loud. read more

I work in Elkhart and sometimes come here for a good solid dinner. The staff is very friendly and the food is very good. Prices are reasonable. You can get fooled by the outside since they advertise as a pizzeria. While it does serve great pizza, it is white linen inside with a diverse menu and great atmosphere. I have recommended coworkers and they were not disappointed. read more

The food is excellent and is the best restaurant I experienced in Elkhart. The only problem is that the service is slow.

I have no idea if the food is good because we have no food. Ordered over an hour ago and no food. However, i have seen other tables get food and based on how the other people have reacted I expect our food, if and when we get it, will be very good. That's what 2 stars are for, the appearance of good food at other tables. But an hour after ordering to receive it?? Yeah, no thanks. I realize it's not Domino's but you're not in the back making cheese either. No matter how tasty it is, an hour plus wait after ordering is not worth it. We will never come back. read more

Love love this place. When you smell garlic before getting to front door that is a good sign. Last time we were here we went all out. Started with hand battered mozzarella sticks. Then the sausage soccotini with is pasta sacks filled with a spicy Italian sausage covered in Arrabiatta sauce. It was heaven. Back again and I'm having it again. Oh I almost forgot to say they make wonderful homemade Cannolis omg I would say they are better than Mikes in Boston. This is just the best little find. read more

Antonio's is the restaurant you're looking for. We made a reservation 40 minutes before hand and we were seated right away. It's a busy place but comfortable and we were able to hear each other across the table. Our server, a longtime employee, spoke highly of the family who owns and operates the restaurant. We enjoyed the stuffed breadsticks, Lenten Specials, and desserts. We look forward to our next visit! read more

Service is fantastic. Armando is the best. Love the fried mozzarella sticks and Rosemary Pizza. Ambience is tight but appealing. Bar tending is suspect at best. Not consistent and needs work. First, Curtis was an absolute delight. He was forthright and open with us that today was his second day. We've all been there, right? There's only one reason this place gets four stars: the Tony Russo Pizza. The appetizer size is just $5.99 and is a wondrous and divine meal unto itself: olive oil, fresh basil and oregano, tomatoes, artichoke hearts, chicken, feta, and parmesan on the most delicious crust ever. I dream of this pizza. It's unnaturally good. Service and atmosphere are nothing special; it can get a little crowded and the tables are kind of close together. The pasta is fairly pedestrian and the desserts are just okay. But go for the Tony Russo pizza and you'll thank me later. read more

This place is a hidden gem in the Michiana area. There are not many five-star dining options, but tonight Antonio's was. The food was pretty special. I was surprised that there were so few pictures on yelp and none of what we thought was the best dish, beautifully presented - the four cheese and spinach ravioli. I was a little sad that I was not the one that ordered this although my chicken Parmesan was also a very good offering. Before dinner we split the appetizer 7 inch four cheese pizza that was outstanding as well. If I could order for you I would say get the four cheese appetizer pizza and the spinach ravioli. Meal over, very happy, done. They also have a reasonable wine list if you need a glass of wine. The only complaint I would have is that the restaurant is slightly cramped and can get loud at times. But, don't let that stop you from coming in as that would be a mistake. read more

This review is based on one visit on a Saturday night. The restaurant is a nice place with a good, dark atmosphere. It is kind of loud (or at least was the night I was there) and not the place I'd go for an intimate dinner. It was great, though, for me and a couple friends to go and enjoy conversation over dinner. The food we had was very good. As noted by an earlier reviewer, the Tony Russo pizza is a must. If this was a pizza joint that served only that pizza I'd give it five stars. We also had the arugula salad. This was interesting in that it was a very good salad with lots of yummy goodies, but underwhelmed me as an arugula salad (that is, not as much arugula as I wanted). Also, way too much dressing / oil. (This became a theme.) The waitress asked if we also wanted our dinner salads (I figured I was paying for it so why not). This was basically just romaine lettuce with a couple cucumbers sitting in a lake of olive oil. Way too much oil. Did you notice I haven't mentioned bread? That's because I had to ask for it at least three times, and it finally came after our entrees; it was very ordinary bread. I had veal rosemary, which was wonderfully cooked and came in a slightly lemony and very rosemary-y cream sauce -- a delightful entree. My friends had gnocchi was vodka sauce (rather good, but again, too much oil in the sauce) and lasagna. The lasagna was good, but the sauce was perhaps a bit too bright. After our plates were all cleared away the excess of oil was obvious because the table liner and cloth were soaked in it. It was gross. On the whole, the food here was rather good, especially my veal rosemary and the pizza. Our service, though, was rather poor. Things came in the wrong sequence, the bread issue, our server never checked on the entrees, and so forth. Also, when our bills came they did not have our before dinner drinks on them and, deciding to be honest, we alerted the server. She actually acted sort of irritated that we were making her do more work in altering the bills. No thank you or anything. I am willing to come here again and see if the service is better, but if it isn't I'll probably just stick to carry-out pizza and salad in the future. Which is a shame, because that veal rosemary was so good. read more

Work up in the area from time to time. I heard about this place from yelp and personal referrals. Then when I read about the chef being awarded the 2019 international pizza challenge I had to try! It was absolutely wonderful, I went with the Italian stallion loaded with pepperoni sausage and bacon. The crust was thick but not super thick with that good buttery taste. I can't wait to try the other style. Highly recommended if you're in the south bend, Elkhart region. read more

Went here for out Valentine's dinner. All in all it was ok. Ambience is nice. Food is good to above average. Service was stellar. What kept them from getting a 5 star rating was the stingy approach to drinks and deserts. $9.00 for a specialty bar drink that yielded a 1oz drink. Seriously? That was a real disappointment folks. Price that at $6.00 and it's acceptable. Then the waitstaffer brought a desert tray. Of course I had the Tierra Messu. The slice on the tray was about a 3 x 4" slice. What showed up was a 1-1/2 x 1-1/2 slice. These are nit picky items. However, it tells me when the waitstaffer spent 80% of her sales approach on these items. Stay away for the specialty drinks. Unless they show you an example and your happy with it. Same for desert. Get a real example. Not the tray. We ended up with a $110.00. So it is pricey. read more

My daughter and I had a lovely dinner at Antonio's this past Friday! I still get a bit cheery thinking about it. Our server, Hailee, did a fantastic job! She was very friendly and helpful, well informed, attentive, but also gave us the appropriate amount of space to enjoy our meal. The restaurant was very busy, so we did have to wait for a table, but they sat us as soon as a table became available. The hostess was also very pleasant, as we were leaving, she addressed me by name and was sure to ask if she could arrange a reservation for next week. We ordered the Lobster Linguine, Spaghetti with the house made meatballs, (Does not get any better!) a house salad, (also wonderful, as always.) and there was plenty of bread. I believe I also has a glass of Riesling. Our bill was shockingly reasonable! Overall, a top notch experience! read more
