Maybe they were fighting to see who would take my order? ‍ I was almost finished w/the basket of chips, decided what I wanted and LAID THE CLOSED MENU on the other side of the table close to the edge, hoping someone would notice. I had decided if they couldn't be bothered to come by the time I finished the chips I was leaving. Magically a waitress finally shows up w/3 chips to spare. Placed the order for water and dinner at the same time. Dinner came out quickly but looking pitiful w/barely a full tablespoon of guac, tomatoes or sour cream. Cheap bastards! The flour part of the chimichanga was NOT CRISP, & I was given plastic utensils to maneuver this sad plate. I have eaten here MANY times as I live in the area so I am more than disappointed w/this experience. Not a single customer sitting in the middle @ the 4-tops & @ least 7 booths empty; on a Saturday night @ 8:00 pm. Seriously, this burger is a gem and for anyone who is old enough to remember The Gridiron, this cheeseburger is the closest thing. I've loved coming here for decades. I only have one small complaint... I think it's awful some people do not know how to tip and I for one thinks it's only right servers receive at least 18% gratuity for what they do. However, this also comes with a problem I've encountered my last two here, servers who don't pay attention after they take your order. We ran low on chips, didn't see our server until our food arrived, and didn't see her again until she brought our ticket. We asked another server for chips and refills and she brought it to us. On our ticket, the 18% gratuity had already been included. Even though there was a spot for more, we didn't leave extra like we usually do (20-22%). As a former waiter, I can see a real problem with this younger generation becoming complacent with the included gratuity and not trying to give a customer a pleasant experience to which they would want to return. So, Molly's, I love y'all but please get a handle on these kids waiting on us. Please make sure they treat us like the gratuity wasn't included and they might get more than 18%. There's a reason it's called the "service" industry. Restaurant was clean and the food was excellent, as always. We'll be back.
