I'm pretty sure Yoboba is what it was called prior to new ownership (whenever that happened, I couldn't tell ya). Anyway, this is the place that saves the day for me whenever I am deep in the boonies between Phoenix and Tucson. Today was pretty hot, and even though it will be getting even hotter, I felt the need to cool down. I did a quick pick-up and the Lychee drinks hit the spot. The drinks were refreshing, made quickly and the employees have always been nice. The shop is always clean and the frozen yogurt area in the back of the store is no exception. I haven't tried the frozen yogurt here yet, but when I get an itch for it, I'll come back. The toppings are endless and the prices are not bad. Stop into the Dessert Queen if you're looking for boba or froyo in the area!

They start you off with chips, salsa, and bean dip. They offered their red salsa which is very good, but I am absolutely in love with their green salsa. So upon request, they will bring you some. Their green salsa has a slight sweet taste to it. I love dipping my chip in the beans and then dipping it into the green salas. There's just something unique about that flavor combination. For dinner I had the Carne Asada quesadilla. I normally get the mango chicken quesadilla, which is absolutely delicious. They also offer it with shrimp. Pretty much any meat they offer on the menu you can get in your quesadilla. This is the first time I tried the carne asada quesadilla and it was fantastic. It came with diced up Carne Asada that was very tender, loads of cheese and guacamole inside. It was really good! My husband got a combo meal that had enchiladas and a chile relleno. He also enjoyed his meal. He ordered his enchiladas Christmas style, which is red and green sauce on top. He said his Chile relleno reminded him of the ones his mom makes. What is sopa free are you ask? It is a cold macaroni salad and there's is absolutely fantastic. I could have just a huge bowl of soap of fria and be happy. You have the choice of whole beans or mashed beans. I had the mashed beans and they are absolutely delicious - - very smooth almost like they're whipped. There's no lard in them at all, it's just beans onion and seasoning. Better than any refried beans I've ever had without the added fat. I ordered one chicken taco and two carne asada tacos on my plate. Both were delicious! The salsa was also fantastic, but very hot. Another cool thing about this place is the lemonade. There are several flavors and it's so nicely presented in a mason jar with little purple flower petals (Jamaica, maybe?) and topped with a little bit of gold leafing.
