Had a craving for tacos and walked to this taco truck, and I am happy I did. I ordered three tacos de asada (steak) and a soda for $7! Tacos are $2 each unless you get de lengua which are $3. The tacos are nice size double tortilla and the cook was generous with the meat portion. I will definitely be returning to try their tortas and quesadillas. This is within walking distance for me but if your driving finding a spot to park may be hard and surrounding apartments take most of the street parking available but finding a parking spot is worth it! The area can be a bit dark at night and it can be a busy street so I would suggest using the crosswalk. The wait time wasn't bad and the service was good. Not my favorite. Al pastor not off the spit. Just your standard soft, marinaded pork. Didn't like the texture. Chorizo a little dry. Tacos a bit small for being standard tortillas and $3 each. Tortilla on quesadilla was a little hard/chewy. Also not as stuffed as you would expect. Asada was the best meat. I will say the rice and beans was a nice surprise. Very good beans. Good flavor for the green salsa. The red was very hot for the sake of being hot - not a lot of flavor. Everything that has been said about parking is true - there is none. AH, this place is ALLL hype. When I hear "THE TACO STAND" I think of some bomb authentic authentic meat packed, fresh tortillas bein handmade in the back, fresh guac on top, onion, cilantro tacos. They were seriously just okay, blah. Pastor taco didn't taste like pastor, it was good but not pastor-y. Asada fries were just thick fries, a can of nacho cheese, guac and sour cream plopped on. Nothing authentic about this place at all what's so ever. Food was a 5/10. The tortillas didn't seem freshly hand made. It was decent, not authentic, I can understand why there wasn't one Mexican person eating there. The salsa bar is everything really bomb salsas, pickled onions, cilanto salsa all that was amazing. Best tacos in OC. So good I've been going once or twice a week for a few months now. I usually get Pierna, Pastor, and Cabeza. Their tortas are also delicious. Park at Santa Ana Zoo parking lot. The entrance to the parking lot is on the far end from the taco stand. They are closed Mondays and Tuesdays and open from 4pm to midnight Wednesdays thru Sundays I believe. read more

***BEST TACOS IN OC*** So my boyfriend brought me here a while back, and I must say, I was expecting just an average taco. However, it surprised me at how flavorful and juicy the meat was. Carne asada is my favorite(: the tacos come packed with flavorful onions and cilantro, and a small side of cucumbers and radishes! A must have with tacos! They also come with a green sauce and red salsa which are super delicious, but I must warn you that the red one is really spicy! So don't overdo it on the tacos ;) unless of course you like spicy food and can handle it. Also, there's a side of these spicy sliced onions which are soooo good on top of your tacos!! The owners themselves are sweet, personable with their customers, and hard working. I will continue to bring my business here, and also look forward to seeing this truck turn into a store front one day so they can expand their restaurant to different locations. I hope they do! Came home today after a long day of hard work and was extremely starving. Only problem is the parking sucks so bad where I live so you could imagine I would want to get home asap! I've noticed this taco stand outside my apts and was interested especially seeing that there is always people there. I tell my roommate "hey instead of ordering a pizza let's check this dude out I got a good feeling".... Absolutely MF DELICIOUS!! Had some tacos the other night and they were pretty good. I ordered two chicken tacos with just meat and two asada and one Al pastor tacos with a side of beans and rice.
