I'm used to Arizona Mexican food and Tex mex so I can't give an honest review without being biased as this food just was not the same.. I didn't love the rice and beans or salsa at all which is usually the first thing I use to determine if the rest of the food will be good .. I thought that the rice was over cooked and lacked flavor and beans were too thick and flavorless .. the rest of the food was good I ordered the carne de puerco/roja it was very good with authentic red chile flavor and the rest of my party ordered the lengua tacos and street corn .. I didn't love it but the service was great and the atmosphere was nice and clean.. this is Mexico City street food..! Different but good. read more

A delightful treat, with wonderful food & excellent service! All the food was well seasoned & delicious! My husband got a quesadilla with Baria meat, cheese lettuce, grilled onions & guacamole in a homemade flour tortilla. Please keep in mind it will take a while to get your order because they are preparing it once ordered. The prices are decent and inside is nice and clean. Amazing food and incredible service. The owner is a fantastic host and was so sweet. He brought us complimentary guacamole and sent us home with tamales -- would not let us pay for them. The food is fantastic. My husband had the chicken enchiladas with the verde sour cream sauce -- he couldn't finish them because the helping was so generous. I have known Carlos and his family for many years through our connection to Camp Fern Legacy and Fern Lake in Marshall and he's catered a couple of events there for alumni and staff. As a native Marshallite my family loves to patronize local businesses and especially its restaurants so we decided to give Antojitos CDMX a try the other night. We were NOT disappointed: the menu had authentic Mexican recipes from Carlos' family and there was almost NO TEXMEX on the menu, which I admit I do like, having grown up eating at El Chico's in Longview and Shreveport as a kid. I have always liked to try new ethnic foods, especially Hispanic, and Antojito's was completely different from the relatively few gourmet Mexican restaurants, and they had a wide variety of dishes prepared fresh and served in huge portions. Right now Antojito's has beer and wine but will soon have a full bar with margaritas that he claims will be incredible. We ate all we could and then took a lot of food home in go boxes to enjoy the next day, where it was just as tasty. Don't let the location distract you since it is out on the west side of Marshall close to that old abandoned Texas and Pacific Railway Hospital and is set among a few liquor stores and gas stations. Some of the best Mexican and Central American food I've ever eaten was years ago at Merida's on Navigation in Houston, where I actually paid someone to watch our car. Antojito's is way better and the location very safe and easy to spot on West 80. Again, you will not be disappointed at Antojito's and there is no doubt that it could become the busiest authentic Mexican restaurant in the area. read more

You can't go wrong with real authentic Mexican food. The Pambazos(a meal by itself) with a cucumber lemonade drink is my best meal so far, but going back to try something different, because I love homemade food. read more

This food was good. This location was the Maverick Meat Market for a long time with a good burger and since has been S&S Meat Market with some awesome authentic Cambodian Food. The cook retired. After that it was a failed restaurant from someone else. Now, it's this place....Mexico City authentic Mexican food. When it was being painted, my coworker and I wondered what "CD MX" meant. Was mixing a compact disk coming back? No, CD is cuidad or city in Spanish and MX then is obviously Mexico, so, Mexico City. They have a menu with tacos and enchiladas and such so we got 2 chorizo tacos and these were very good. We also got 2 Suadero tacos. This place makes a sandwich called a Pambaso too......bread, meat of your choice, cheese, potatoes and the chili sauce on the bun....this sandwich is their calling card. We liked the chorizo Pambaso a lot... very good. For Caucasian people, it is like a cheeseburger with ground meat in it and and mashed up French fries also inside and covered in rib sauce.....it is messy. The service is friendly. My date and l went to eat there a few nights ago. Very clean environment, staff was friendly. I ordered a quesadilla it was delicious B ordered red pepper meat and green verde meat plate. He ate all his plate. l brought home 2/3 of mine. They also gave me samples of non alcohol drinks they make there. Everyone needs to try it once, you won't be disappointed. They have a drive thru. They also serve tacos of the meats B ordered. He will be seeing them a lot. read more

The rice taste like my grandmother's rice and it's not your typical tex-mex style. Definitely my go to spot on the way or back from Texarkana. read more

Lets start off with the good stuff the flautas were delicious! We called in our order and waited 20 mins before heading to pick them up and when I arrive there the food isn't ready yet so okay I waited about 15 mins and then they bring out the tostadas and that was fine but the flautas were in a cup which we said we didn't want them in a cup so they take it back and say about 10 mins well it ended up being 20 mins (cause I counted the last message I sent to my coworkers to let them know about the waiting period ) and everyone at my job is saying just cancel the order so I go up the window and ask about our order it's been really long time by now and I let the girl know they just want to cancel the order it's been way too long and she said the flautas order were finally almost done so I said ok and well it's been 30 mins of wait and I had the tostadas in my car for 30 mins by then so by the time I make it back to work with the food the tostadas were soggy and then they didn't even give us salsa nor green salsa not red salsa. it was all of us first time trying everything trying to see what was the big hype about it which like I said taste wise good but everything else was just not it. read more

Stopped for dinner last night on our road trip and absolutely fell in love. The food was incredible and so was the service. I'm Salvadorian myself and this place really felt like home away from home. The restaurant was very clean too, very well run. If you're looking for authentic Latin food I cannot recommend this place enough. read more
