Outstanding food and service. Unique but approachable menu, familiar flavours, excellent sauce work. Wonderful wine selection great vibe inside even with Covid protocols.

Seafood salad as a starter

Best restaurant in a long time. Very friendly staff especially the waitress. And yes they speak English - which I do not expect in Quebec. The restaurant is a modern - old style with lots of stone and wood. I had the seafood salad as a starter, followed by the trout and as desert the Crackerjack - ice cream covered in popcorn. They really put a lot of effort in their food and preparation. It looked good and it tasted well! I will definitely come back here.

There are plenty of tongue in cheek references throughout both the menu and the interior's decor. The building's soaring arched ceilings are fully utilized: a towering staircase to the glamorous choir loft, climbing art installations, and a sanctuary with an altar that is screaming for a DJ. Side rooms have been turned into private party spaces and the unisex bathrooms guarantee you'll never wait in line. All of our food was tasty but nothing really stood out. Mind you, I'm comparing this to all Québécois food, which is unwaveringly incredible, so it was still very, very good. If I came here again, which I 100% would, I'd love to try more of their fantastic looking menu. I'm not sure what prior bad reviews were talking about, but they are quite old. Our service was great, but if it matters we were there shortly after they opened, so there was no rush. Back to me owning this joint, hahaha, this place has such potential and I hope they're living up to it. I'd love to see this place during peak season when it's going off inside. Really fun place! Check it out!

One of the people in our…read moreparty is in her 70s, and she said this was in the top ten best restaurant meals she has had in her life! I agree. We made a reservation the day of for 8:30 and were seated quickly. Every table was occupied. The parking lot was full so we parked for free on a nearby residential street and walked a couple blocks. The waitstaff was charming and perfectly fluent in English and French. Our friendly server was excellent and made us feel so welcome not just to the restaurant, but to the town of Sherbrooke. The inside is classy and elegant without being overly formal. Every dish was plated beautifully and I took lots of photos. I had the vegetarian option of pasta and vegetables, and it was beyond any pasta and vegetables I have eaten before! The flavors were perfectly balanced with garlic and lemon and very light cream, and the pasta was fresh and had a pleasantly firm texture. There was a good ratio of vegetables to pasta. Everyone in our group completely loved their meals. The person who ordered the moules-frites said they were spot-on and excellent. Other favorites from our variety of dishes were the fish soup and the creme brûlée. We were here eating and talking for over 2 hours and never felt rushed even though we were amongst the last diners to leave. This is definitely a restaurant worthy of traveling a couple hours to get to! If you are anywhere even slightly in the area, please go here, you will be glad you did.

My favourite cafe/restaurant in Sherbrooke by far! So many fond memories were made at this spot…read more The food is unique and always delicious, with Toussaint (chef) bringing lots of spice and unique flavour from his Mauritian background. The decor is lively and unique, Donimique's art decorating throughout, and the staff are always very friendly (they even convinced me to dance on my birthday). I can't say enough about how warm and hospitable everyone at Classyco has been each of the many times I've returned. The menu allows you to combine a variety of proteins (octopus, chicken, scallops, shrimps, squid, fish, beef, or a vegetarian melange) with a variety of preparations (Indian curry,Cajun, creole, coco seychellois, to name a few), along with available soup, salad, and deserts. My personal recommendation is to ask Toussaint to cook whatever he's feeling at the time-- the curried octopus was very tender and extremely tasty- but I have never gone wrong. They have a patio for when the weather is good, and BYOW is also a nice option, though not uncommon in these parts. With a combination of great people, wholesome quality food, and nothing but very fond memories, this was definitely my favourite place to eat while in the townships.
