My favourite cafe/restaurant in Sherbrooke by far! So many fond memories were made at this spot. The food is unique and always delicious, with Toussaint (chef) bringing lots of spice and unique flavour from his Mauritian background. The decor is lively and unique, Donimique's art decorating throughout, and the staff are always very friendly (they even convinced me to dance on my birthday). I can't say enough about how warm and hospitable everyone at Classyco has been each of the many times I've returned. The menu allows you to combine a variety of proteins (octopus, chicken, scallops, shrimps, squid, fish, beef, or a vegetarian melange) with a variety of preparations (Indian curry,Cajun, creole, coco seychellois, to name a few), along with available soup, salad, and deserts. My personal recommendation is to ask Toussaint to cook whatever he's feeling at the time-- the curried octopus was very tender and extremely tasty- but I have never gone wrong. They have a patio for when the weather is good, and BYOW is also a nice option, though not uncommon in these parts. This restaurant is lovely. I'm a finicky eater and also vegetarian, so it doesn't happen often that I leave restos feeling satisfied. So, needless to say, I absolutely loved the food here. The dishes were flavorful and original, not heavy-feeling, and the service was great. Perfect portions. Great bet! read more

I stopped in here on a whim before a concert at Theatre Grenada. As an American in Quebec - who knows shamefully little French - I felt nervous that I'd be in the weeds with what would have certainly been a menu way beyond my ability. You're typically told to order a meat and a sauce/preparation as your main course, a task I thought would leave me fumbling. Fortunately the waiter was able to lay it all out for me in English. The meal that ensued was wonderful. He recommended a Mauritian cream sauce with added chicken. It was fantastic. Very similar to your traditional curry. Do not overlook this wonderful little haunt. read more
