This popular brewery was definitely worth the revisit for their high quality food and drinks, with a major perk being that it is open everyday and doesn't close between mealtimes. The Tall Man and I came during semi-off hours, first for a late lunch and later for an afternoon snack/drink. They have a large outside deck with a great view of the lake, but we opted to sit in their cozy dining room both times. We visited with baby in tow, first with a stroller and once without. The accessible entrance was not very obvious (we noticed it only after our second visit) and it was covered in snow. There are several steps leading to the porch and main entrance. The host was gracious enough to find a table that could fit a stroller next to it, but that was made easier by our off-hours visit. The staff is very friendly and most are pretty fluent in both English and French. We ordered in French the first time around, but by our second trip our language skills and brains were a bit worn out, so we were thankful our server cheerfully switched to English. They all gave us great recommendations, and everything we had was quite tasty. Think elevated brewpub than bar food. Drinks-wise, the Tall Man equally enjoyed La Pointe Merry (IPA) and La Kilt (Scotch ale). I opted for their non-alcoholic options and was happy with my Quebec-made kombucha and gin and tonic mocktail. Both came in cans or bottles, and I ended up taking the rest of my kombucha to go. Instead of ordering full entrees, we opted for a spread of small plates. The cod bites (bouchées de morue) were excellent, crisply fried with soft, flaky fish inside and a killer dipping sauce. The kiddo is just starting to eat solid foods and quite enjoyed the fish. The onion rings (nounounes rings) were also a hit. We also enjoyed the duck drumlettes (pilons de canard) and the fries (frites). Note the fries are made French style and not crispy (as opposed to what's usually served in American restaurants ironically as "French" fries). We will definitely be back! I did eat gluten on this trip as a periodic treat, but am usually gluten free. They didn't seem to have too many GF options on their menu, but I would come back to try their entrees and see if I could make it work.

Started with lattes, mine was a dirty chai (chai with a shot of espresso). Never had that before, interesting combo, but not for purists :) We each had the crèpes salées, savoury crepes filled with asparagus, cheese and ham, with hollandaise. Oh the ham was so good, big pieces and wonderfully textured. We each added a poached egg, because why not. Potatoes and a small fruit cup also on the plate. A maple butter for the fruit was absolutely amazing, but no way to eat all of it and I felt bad for the wastage of something so delicious. Would return yo try a grilled cheese sandwich, of which there are so many to choose from and seemed a hot item coming out of the kitchen. Service had zero flaws and was quick and efficient. We walked into the restaurant for a look and the decor inside was beautiful as well. It was such pleasant weather that we elected to dine outdoors. Our server, Myriam, was friendly, personable, and attentive. She spoke English very well, and brought us English menus as well as French menus. I got the seafood crepe and my husband ordered the mushroom crepe, and we shared. Both crepes were fantastic! The melted cheeses were creamy and smooth, and the crepes themselves were the perfect texture--not too thin and not too thick. The entrees came with soup (I choose lentil soup) and a small mixed-greens salad with dressing. We both opted for raspberry vinaigrette, and enjoyed how light it was with just a touch of sweetness. The other two diners in our group both ate sausages and said they were superb! It was the kind of meal that had us all commenting "oh wow, this food is really really good!" the whole time we were eating. All four of us agreed that we highly recommend eating here!

The stand out were the French onion soup served inside a large roasted onion, topped with a crispy crustiani topped with caramelized onions and the duck pate served with roasted vegetables on thick slices of homemade bread. We felt very comfortable and welcomed in a room full of French speaking locals. Our server took the time to explain the Menu and give her suggestions which were all amazing every if I didn't name them here. I'm sure we will return!

Bikers everywhere and the place was packed. We got lucky and were seated immediately around 7:30 on Saturday evening. We'd biked all day so we were starving and started things off with poutine. We also added on some burgers and mac n' cheese. It's bar food well done because everything was delicious. The poutine was massive and the 3 of us devoured that dish. This was mainly due to the great service and delicious meals ordered by each of us in our family of three. Our table was never left waiting and the food was served hot. Everything was made with original flavor additions such as homemade sauces, fresh breads, and unique use of herbs and spices. Lastly, I was told to mention that the hand cut fries were exceptional. Since we visit Burlington often, we look forward to returning to the Farmhouse to try other dishes on their menu or just ordering the same meals since they were so good. We all agreed that this restaurant has definately moved to the top of the list for our next trip to Vt.
