Ordered the pulled pork platter with two sides and it was terrible. The apples were cold and tasteless. With the cornbread they used to give you a big square of homemade cornbread but now you get a little muffin shaped piece about 2" in diameter and hard as a rock (see photo). The pulled pork tasted bad and after about five minutes after I was done, it hit my stomach and I got very sick. Luckily there is a Family Dollar store across the street and I went there and bought some Imodium. Had to stick around and use Bonnie Blue's restroom twice before felt comfortable enough to make the 45 minute drive back to my home. Got home and felt so bad that I went straight to bed. Obviously I got food poisoning at Bonnie Blue's and think they left the pork out too long and this is why. See photo of my my receipt and the pulled pork platter. This year, I ordered a 3 layer cake with a colored photo provided by my granddaughter. I requested pink, purple, pink inside with strawberry filling. They missed the color of the cake inside and outside completely. Pink vs neon pink. The cake tasted awful. The icing was slopped on the cake without care. It melted 45 minutes into transport. There was not enough support inside the cake as the top layer slid off during transport. They made an entirely different cake! A $10 refund was offered. It's such a joke. I wasn't able to pick up cake due to my father passing away. So my son picked up the cake. He couldn't refuse the cake bc it was going directly to the party. He had no time to change or complain. The rest of the photos are the cake we received. The girl answering the phone said the owner sits home and does paperwork. She does not come in the bakery to do any baking or decorating. That in itself allows you to make your decision if you want to do business with them. If you are looking for quality and specifics, try another bakery. I have had the special cheese steak twice from this location (Valley Ave). The sub compared to the one up in Stephens City and Northwester Pike is subpar. The sub both times have basically come with cheese, steak, and lettuce. If there were tomatoes, onions, green peppers, and banana peppers you could not see them nor taste them. PLUS they offer NO lunch special prices. The exact same sub at the location in Stephens City and at on Northwestern Pike are $5.65 during lunch. I paid 8.55 here and the sub is by all means not nearly as tasty. Yes, I have drove to Stephens City and Rt. 50 just to get their subs - but I was pressed for time today. Overall, driving a few additional miles is worth the taste and money would be saving. Listened learned. read more
