An almost hidden gem of an Italian restaurant/pizzeria in DeBary, FL. We were greeted by a smiling, upbeat & welcoming waitress. We ordered garlic knots which came out piping fresh out of the oven with a side container of hot sauce. Both were perfectly delicious. The eggplant parm hero was different than the usual ones overloaded with tomato sauce and cheese. This one had freshly made eggplant, also hot and with just the right amount of mozzarella and a lesser amount of sauce. It was real eggplant too, not frozen tasteless breaded small round patties. The pizza was also excellent. We shared both. We will definitely be back. read more

This time the Women at the front was Extremally Rude when I asked why the pizza was taking so long, she was about as rude as I've ever experienced with her response, "WE ARE BUSY!!!". We left money on the table to cover our drinks and walked out. This woman followed me and asked me in the parking lot why we are leaving. I told her she was rude and we are done coming to this place. She never apologized and said she was only joking. This could have been avoided if she handled this like she cared about customers. I would not recommend this place to anyone. Everyone says it's hard to find good pizza in Florida, so we thought it was gonna be tough but we found it at the original Anthony's pizza in DeBary!!! The slices are perfectly cooked. Crispy, crunchy, cheesy and absolutely delectable We always sit outside, being from up north why wouldn't we but they've got seating inside too!! A local pizzeria feel inside we love it! It is nothing fancy, but it is inviting enough. The staff was also friendly enough. As for the pizza, well, it was decent enough. I definitely have had better, but I have also had worse. All in all, it was good enough for us on this particular trip. I would not go out of my way for it, but I also would not purposely avoid it either. This is THE REAL " Original Anthony's Pizza" Today was our second visit. We had an Italian sub, sausage parm & eggplant parm subs. All were wonderful and fresh. Eggplant is my favorite and since I am a true Italian, raise with grandparents off the boat, I consider myself an expert. And I'm here in Florida by way of New York! Eggplant was cooked perfectly. Crispy and all the way through. The sausage was excellent, with a perfect blend of flavor. Great italian food friendly service clean dinning room. We started with garlic knots the doudh was soft nots of butter for my taste i could have gone for more garlic. They were good. The Caesar salad was cold crisp and flavorful. The veal parm was tender and the sauce was fresh and deleicious. The fettuccine was buttery and creamy. Save your money, ordered their "large" Stromboli for $18.99, its the size of a small,. Also got their pasta with meat sauce, virtually no sauce and tastes like store bought canned Hunts meat was barely existent and no seasoning/flavor, fried mushrooms were a soggy mush. Called the location after receiving it to make sure it wasn't a mix up, girl stated that is the "correct large". Would have been better to set $40 on fire. read more

I order a 10 piece mild with blue cheese. The wings came opened the box and tasted them to realize they were not fresh. Wings were not cooked fresh they were old stale wings. I called back and was told a fresh batch would be brought back out in exchange for the old wings and driver never showed up. We ordered pizza to go, told us wait was 40 minutes we was ok with it, we was there in 15 we asked since there was people eating if we can have ours to stay answered no because there was a reservation on the last open space so we waited for our food, Another 20 minutes gone by so now were into 45 minutes of waiting the customer still didn't come in and they didn't have an open space available since we didn't call ahead SMH. We got a flyer in the mail for this place and we have been looking for a new local pizza place since we moved to this side of town... so with the specials in their flyer we decided to give it a try! We had pizza and wings... they were both awesome!!! I have been trying to find a place that has "New York style" pizza AND good wings... I would definitely say they came close! Was told they were down a driver and they added something to our order as a thank you for our patience . We received the order at 8pm and the food was great we went to see what the extra something was only to find a piece of moldy tiramisu with mold spores all over it . It took 40 minutes to get to sandwiches and a kids pasta to my table with one other occupied table in the restaurant. The food was OK but I can tell you that six hours later, I am getting to enjoy my food again for all the wrong reasons. I asked the server if the marinara had red chilli flakes in it. He informed me that anything on the menu with red sauce contained chilli flakes and would be spicy hot. This place is awful my husband and I got sick from their food. I had the chicken Alfredo and he had the steak and cheese sub. There Alfredo sauce does not taste like regular Alfredo sauce they put something else in it that throws it off completely. Plus the people there are always rude. They act like they have the best food there. Trust me they don't. You can go to goodfellas or Antonios which we should of done they are way better. I'm surprise they're still in business. so I called to place a carry out at 8:30 on a Monday evening and this place is not even excepting carry outs at 8:30! I've been ordering food here for years and it says online they are open till 930! So now people don't wanna work and my local place I always order from closes before it's even dark out! I think it's terrible and I won't be ordering food there for a while. How can you not be open unt 10 o'clock on a weekday? If you aren't open until nine change your freaking hours online! Or tell your workers to do their job until 930 like it says you are open till. Used to be the place where my fiancé (now wife) and I would go to get a pizza. We dined-in and carried-out 2-3 times per month for a while. We explored the menu and tried several things. Most of the time, the quality of the food and service were reliable. Unfortunately, this did not last and we have had several unacceptable quality of food and unprofessional interactions over the last few times my wife and I or her family have tried to go back. I have grown up in the area and I know of all the pizza places. There are several great options around here in addition to the chains. My friends order online from, but we accidentally went to another Anthony that was closer by, we're not from here so we didn't know. We called the place to cancel the order and to get our refund, keep in mind no where on the website does it say, if you can't pick it up we can't refund you, so we called to get a refund since we weren't going to be able to pick up the food. The owner refused to refund me my money, and the restaurant kept the food. The owner was so rude and didn't help the situation at all. The Anthony I ended up eating at, try to help the situation, they said they always refund customers when they aren't able to pick up the food. The owner didn't want to work anything out and just kept my money and the food I didn't even eat. HORRIBLE customer service. read more
