    Caesar salad
    Chris D.

[[HIGHLIGHT]]The view was the best part of this experience to me. Although the weather was light rain and overcast the view was still nice. The tall glass windows complimented the esthetic of the restaurant.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Went to this place for dinner after a long work week. Reservation was for 5pm on a Friday evening. Was seated pretty quickly after arriving. Asked the waiter about the fish selection and he was pretty well versed in explaining the selections which sold me on the Wild Alaskan Halibut. One of my coworkers ordered the calamari for a starter which never arrived to the table. Bummer.. The starters for my coworkers came out. Tomato basil soup - was decent, nothing special to me or any of my coworkers. Caesar salad - looked pretty light on the dressing to me but my coworker liked it. Crab & corn chowder - had no flavor per my coworker. Entrees came out. I had the Blackened Wild Alaskan Halibut with peach salsa. There wasn't enough char of the fish for my liking the salsa was okay but I felt the peaches could've been diced a little finer. The veggies had no flavor. One coworker got Wild Alaskan Halibut with oregano butter sauce and his take was he didn't taste the butter sauce at all and felt his veggies were undercooked. The last entree was the Double R Ranch Flank Steak and his take was the steak was okay. Didn't like the cranberry jalapeño relish it was topped with and felt his veggies were undercooked as well. The key lime pie far was pretty bland per my coworker as well and he didn't like the texture of the pie nor the pie to crust ratio. Overall the experience wasn't the best and the service was as mediocre as the food.

[[HIGHLIGHT]]Great spot on the waterfront in Olympia![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Wonderful staff! [[HIGHLIGHT]]Beautifully decorated dining and bar area![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] It was the limited time lobster menu so we all opted to order off that menu and we were not disappointed! Delicious and plated with great presentation! Our waiter and bartender was Jesse, he was very friendly!

[[HIGHLIGHT]]I absolutely love this place - the view, the food![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I can't here twice, both times with the family, and they all loved it too. [[HIGHLIGHT]]First time we accidentally made a reservation at a different Anthony's. It was a lunch time, not crowded so they nicely helped us with changing the reservation and seated us by the window with a fantastic view.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Second time was for dinner. We arrived a little early being ready to wait. Hostess was a bit sarcastic about sitting us. But as always, the meals were excellent. That's shrimp wasn't shrimpy at all. Our server was very attentive and not overwhelming. Definitely recommend this restaurant! Second time was also with family for dinner. We arrived a little earlier than our reservation, so we had to wait a couple of minutes. Hostess was a bit sarcastic about it. I ordered prawns. Portion was

Everything was great on multiple occasions. Great happy hour deals. Delicious speciality drinks and food specials. Great prices for delicious food. [[HIGHLIGHT]]My favorite place I tried while visiting AND great views![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

[[HIGHLIGHT]]Nice quiet location with a nice view.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Service was great and the food was also great. My Fiancée and I both loved our drinks as well. We both did the $35 3 course meal and both enjoyed both our appetizers and the entrees. Some of the best cornbread i've had in a while (coming from a KY native) and the Tomato Basil soup was great.

I came here on a work dinner with a few clients. They were able to seat us on time and had a good round table which was appreciated. The food was good, we had the crab dip and I had a surf and turf option with crab and steak. The restaurant was nice and was good for an elevated client dinner. I am dropping a star for two reasons. The first was our server was quite slow, we had to flag down a different server to order bottles of wine. Additionally our server did not write down any of the orders for a table of 6. My coworker made a joking comment that she wasn't writing anything down and the server said not to worry, she would remember it. I was a server previously, so I know it is possible for servers to not need to write down orders, however, I think that is you aren't going to write it down, it needs to be correct. I ordered my filet to be cooked medium rare, and my client ordered hers medium. In fact, when I ordered mine medium rare, she made a face and joked with me that it isn't cooked enough for her liking. Once we got our food, I noticed that my steak was medium and hers was medium rare, and my client proceeded to only eat the shrimp on her plate. She was a client and didn't want to make a big deal out of it, so she didn't say anything. Therefore my only comment is if you aren't going to write it down, even if it was the kitchen's mistake, it looks like an easily avoided mistake by the server. All that said, was what we needed for our client dinner and would return.

I'm always apprehensive when a restaurant has a gorgeous view... because they never really have to try very hard. The service here was non existent, and the food was absolutely not worth the trip or the price. Ordered calamari, got a plate with a mound of lettuce and some fried calamari crumbs on top; ridiculous. Ordered the grilled steelhead, excellent flavor, perfectly cooked. Veggies were cold, and the corn bread pudding tasted like stove top stuffing. Halibut- cooked and seasoned well, small portion. Rice was dry and flavorless, veggies were cold. Mac & Cheese was the saving grace believe it or not, pasta cooked al dente, good cheese sauce, lots of chicken and crispy prosciutto bits. Smoked Salmon Chowder wasn't a chowder, it was a Bisque, not chunky or hearty at all, only soup, no salmon, no chunks of potato or anything. Dessert- Bread pudding had no structure really, very mushy and undercooked, yet somehow burnt on the bottom, same for the Brookie? For $200 it was offensively poor quality. The server didn't come by once to refill drinks. Never again.

Next best was the bread - it was perfectly soft inside with a crispy crust. Between how oily the dish was and my nose running from the increased spice as I continued eating, I wouldn't return for this dish. The eggs weren't noticeable in appearance or taste- I had to search for them. The "creamy grits" were creamy, but the black pepper taste was STRONG. Definitely ordered the side for the "creamy" factor, hoping when the server said harissa in the eggs would have a mild spice, that the grits would calm my mouth. The amount of pepper made this unsuccessful. But if you like black pepper a lot then you'll enjoy them. My son enjoyed the beignet's. The server was also the host and he was kind. It was easy to get his attention when needed. I didn't see anyone with a grin on their face after taking bites of their food. I looked around quite a bit out of curiosity. So for ambiance, kind and prompt service, and the possibilities of the menu I gave it 4 stars. We only tried the few things I mentioned. I did also appreciate the bottle of water ready on every table. Note that there is no kids menu and it's mostly table seating. So maybe try on your own or with other adults, and leave the kids at home?

She was pleasant and sat us in the sunshine on the patio. I was sad to see so few patrons. I will review the best part first: THE COCKTAILS: The spirits and craft cocktail selection was huge / the beer & wine not so much. My Old Fashioned was perfect! Food: Seafood Rosé Pasta (bay scallops, shrimp, northwest manila clams, rosé prosecco cream sauce, grilled bread) -- inconsistent cook on the different seafoods & the sauce was meh. Not worth $42.00 Grilled Romaine Salad (white balsamic bleu cheese dressing, gorgonzola, cherry tomatoes, aleppo toasted hazelnuts) -- plenty of romaine, could've been grilled longer / not much quantity of tomatoes or toasted hazelnuts -- basically a "side salad" for $15.00 Lobster Bisque (house smoked tomatoes, roasted red pepper, cream, butter poached langoustine lobster) -- tasted more like roasted tomato / red pepper soup (no lobster or seafood flavors) - there were 4 small pieces of poached?? langoustine lobster on top - I question poached because the pieces definitely had a bite to them. Worth $15.00 -- no. Due to reviews we had the Baklava Crumble (pistachios, honey, vanilla ice cream) -- basically cut up (very chewy, not crispy) baklava tossed over ice cream for $14.00 -- maybe a bad night for this dessert? We like to support small Olympia businesses and will go back for cocktails but the food costs are too high - we don't mind high costs IF we come away satisfied - unfortunately the food didn't measure up to the cost. As we drove away, we saw the "Budd Bay Cafe" was very busy - I think next time we'll have cocktails at Cynara, then cross the street for food and wine. We were intrigued with the "Clam Chowder Entrée" which is served à la minute (Washington manila clams, bacon, cream, celery, roasted potatoes, grilled bread) -- is it a deconstructed chowder?? $33.00 Sorry no pics.

The food was just alright, but I was disappointed with what I got and was expecting more quality for the price. I ordered the Chicken Cordon Who and I was given a plate with a small handful of still-crunchy sliced bell peppers and zucchini that seemed that they had been in contact with heat for all of 30 seconds next to a pile of potatoes that were cold from sitting. The chicken breast was just meh, not very thick, not very moist, not very seasoned, not very much of it. Small amount of sliced prosciutto on top. I just think for $30 this was a ripoff by at least 1/3 of the price; I would expect an actual chicken cordon bleu at that price instead of this quick-service deconstruction. The blackberry mojito I ordered for I think $15 tasted pretty good but was missing the presence and flavor of any alcohol so there was no complexity, just ended up being a $15 refreshing fruit drink. My husband ordered an appetizer (Sirloin Diablo) for $27 and got a small bowl of steak tips submerged in a barely spicy (Diablo?) cajun cream sauce like a soup surrounded by some painfully plain, thin, unseasoned, boring grilled bread. It's not bad or very good by any means and just wasn't his thing, but charging almost $30 for that? At their prices and the way they are presented I was expecting a really satisfying dinner but walked away feeling like I would've been just as happy eating some standard fare at a local diner for half the cost.
