My teenage son was in a car accident and was sustained brain injury and concussion. He was taken to the the local trauma hospital and 48hrs later was released and told to do a follow up appt with the Dr who saw him in the hospital for 2-4 weeks out. I called to make an appt for the required time out only to be placed on hold, hung up on while she was looking for a date and time. called back immediately only to receive front desk VM. Left a VM and never received a call back. Waited an hour and called back again. Got a VM. Called back and got a person only to find out dr was going to be on vacation and had to push it back to 5 weeks (good thing its not urgent to have brain bleed on a minor). Cut to day of appt, appt is 15 before closing. arrive 20 min early with no one at front desk. another patient tells me to sign the clipboard which i do and then wait. Nest thing I know the staff is grabbing the pursed and closing up and yet no one has checked us in or given me the normal first time patient paperwork so i have to stop a girl who was ready to leave. She signed me in and got us in the back to meet the dr. the visit took 10 minutes and are told to get an MRI for 3 weeks out but do not give me the order right then and tell me to call back and ask another employee for the MRI order. Call her the nest day and she seems confused as to why this is happening and asks why i didnt just get in when I left. I now have to drive back and pick it up. Get the MRI done and schedule a follow up appt with the dr to go over the MRI which now takes another 4 weeks to get in. Schedule the appt and show up yesterday for our appt only to be told that I am not in the computer or scheduled for that day and that it was for another day that I missed which I know is a lie because when I mad the appt I was sitting at my desk with my calendar right in front of me. Was told I couldnt see the Dr regardless because he was out of the office that day. needless to say I asked for the report and images and left. LUckily the MRI came back good and I no longer have to deal with this place. I cannot give a review as far as the Dr goes because the interaction was once and short but as far as this practice and staff. Its a sh*tshow there. Wouldn't recommend on my worse enemy. Love Dr. Farruhk but will be changing doctors. There is always someone without the degrees who handles the prescriptions and not the actual Dr. in this case it's his medical assistant Tiffany. Who technically isn't licensed to be sending them But does. The issue is that she does it on her own time. I've had my prescriptions sent late on more than one occasion. I brought it up to the office manager and nothing took place. I'm not sure what Tiffany's personal issue is with the medicine but this is a pain management doctor and some people who see the doctor and have actual chronic issues shouldn't feel judged when having to bring up the obvious. It's called doing your job! Will be changing doctors because I dislike dealing with people who are petty and can't do their job. I mean you are getting paid..... read more

It's a crap shoot with AV Neuroscience. I had a cervical fusion 6 years ago by one Doctor and I really cannot say that I am any better off. The surgery was obviously painful and risky. I will also have hardware in me for my lifetime. I have also seen another Doctor there for: Migraines, epilepsy and some other things. He was good in the past. Now I think he is just going through the motions. There is one MA there that is outstanding! Most of the staff are mediocre. Make sure you have your book or phone because you're going to be waiting quite a while to be seen. read more

I'm so thankful for Dr.Kareti he said he was going to take care of me and he did He kept he is word. I was suicidal and I had alot health issues none stop so the one that I couldn't take it was a big migraine that was hurting 24/7 that I couldn't take turning to dizzy spell. I did not know what to do no more. On my way to the office I almost fainted but I pray to get to the office because I needed help. The staff was wonderful and understanding. I don't want to threw his partner under the bus he was the only one not understanding he said I was ok. And I know I wasn't did not let me talk . Talk over me. But enough of him. I had my first appointment 2 weeks ago with Dr. Janumpally for migraines. He is so knowledgeable and shared a lot of information. I was able to set the appointment up with ease, no long wait time, and staff is friendly. During routine Botox injections for chronic migraines, Dr. Karete poured rubbing alcohol in both my eyes, temporarily totally blinding me & costing me two (2) trips to Palmdale Regional Hospital Emergency Room. I was terrified. He lied, tried to say I moved or opened my eyes but I said that wasn't true as I'm phobic about having things near my eyes, had numerous migraine injections (not from him) @ that point & knew what to expect. I sent him Demand Letter for reimbursement of medical costs (ER $180.00 alone) plus months of follow-up medical care & prescription eyedrops but he ignored. He should still have my expense tally, send reimbursement immediately & NOBODY should go to this facility, seek treatment elsewhere! read more

Appointment is needed but useless! My mother who is 73 had an appointment for 10:45 we got there at 10:30 and literally waited until after 12 pm. Ridiculous. Then to top it off if you are 10 minutes late they refuse to see you and charge you. It is apparent they are over booking themselves and really out for the money. Dr. Janumpally is a horrible doctor. He is all about money when it comes to charging medical and charging your insurance. He doesn't even examine before making Diagnosis. no test was done or requested before he diagnosed me. read more

The waiting time was much too long. Dr Farruhk was very dismissive and condescending. I will never go to him again.

My general Dr. sent me to neurosurgeon who checked me out and referred me to Dr. Janumpally that same visit. That was at least 4 years ago. It turns out I have a lot wrong with me. So the doctor got me to go to UCLA for hopefully more help. A few years into that and my UCLA guy has only confirmed what Dr. Janumpally and found. Still much more to go but I have trust in them. As for waiting, not much a little after you get checked in and little time in the room but most my appointments im in and out in an hour. The new location is so much better in the lobby. Some people just have to hate. No reason to here. They aren't great at RX refills, best if you do that during a visit. read more

I externed here, was told I did good and got a recommendation letter from them only to find out that letter was just a copy, paste, and "fill in the blanks with name" kind of deal. 2/3 workers are the feminazi type of people and just want a male extern to boss around and feel better about themselves. The reviews you hear about the manager are true, coming from someone who worked there. It was all just an act of them being nice and putting up with me from the way I feel after finishing. Everyone does their job but that one person who just needs to find other people to blame for her faults. read more

Dr. Kareti is the worst doctor that I have ever experienced in my life, for myself, my wife, or my children. He spends no more than a couple minutes during a visit, and does not listen to his patients at all. During my first visit, my wife and I had to chase him down from the exam room to be able to ask him any questions. My last visit, I informed him of some concerns I had, particularly with the medication he prescribed. His reply was, okay that's great, keep up the good job. Then he mentioned twice about me getting my license reinstated, which I told him was already taken care of a long time ago. Completely ignored everything I had to say in there. All he is good for is signing off for refills on my medication. I will be switching doctors once I find time to research. Problem is that there just aren't many good doctors in the AV, at least in my experience from my 20 years living out here. I always end up driving down to the San Fernando valley. read more

I stopped going here from the horrible staff. Another huge problem is they over schedule patients so you generally get less then 15min per session. I don't have enough space to tell every horrible thing but I'll give one example. I had to have paperwork filled out and sent in to the state and my work in 3 weeks on why the dr took me out of work. I called and always spoke with Vanessa and she said it was getting filled out several times but it wasn't ready (mind you it takes less then 5min), my med wasn't working so they set up the soonest apt which was with a diff dr then normal to change my meds. I ask about the paper, it's blank, she has the dr fill it out. I read the paper and it says I'm fine go back to work.. Wtf it's the exact opposite of my other dr. So I make another apt with my dr and show him what she notes Vanessa have to the other dr for him to fill it out incorrectly. My dr says to white it out make a copy at staples bring it back immediately and he will correct it. I come back to the dr office And they won't let me see him and they'll give him the paper later because I don't have an apt. Wtf! Even though I dealt with Vanessa who sees him in between every patient. I waited in the waiting room until they filled it out. I wasn't loud I didn't cuss, I was just tired of the staff not doing their job. So I was there from 10am til 2:30pm with a 20min staples break. When the dr finally came out he apologized for the staff. I've been there over 10 times and 9 out of 10 times I had problems with the staff not doing their job. The receptionists were never rude, only Vanessa, she was always inconvenienced to do her job. They were very helpful when I gave them money. I will never go here again. I have found better specialist in San Fernando valley and LA including the staff. read more

7/17/2015 I had the honor of meeting Dr. Mukesh Misra MD of the Antelope Valley Neuroscience Medical Group for the first time on Friday 7/17/15. My appointment was scheduled for 2:45 so I showed up at 2:30 to do the new patient paperwork. I walked in of course Scared to Death of what he was going to tell me. To make a long story short. The Office staff was "Top Notch". They greeted me with a smile and a friendly hello, asked for my name and away we go. They took care of me better than any Medical Office has every. When done with the paperwork, I sat down to read my book I brought. Oh no, not 2 minutes and they were calling me back to the room. I didn't even get a chance to open the book. I jumped up and said are you sure you called me ? Its not even 2:45 yet ? She smiles and said yes, your room is ready. I thought "oh boy here we go". The nurse introduced herself and did all the vitals and said the Dr. would be right in. My normal thought was "Yea right, just like always, you hurry up and wait". Nope, Dr.Mukesh Misra walked by, poked his head in and said "Lisa, I will be right with you". And not 2 minutes later he walked in and sat down and started a conversation. He talked to me like I had known him for years. He wanted to know everything about me and what I thought was going on with my back. He is just wonderful. He has the best bed side manner. He made me feel so comfortable and he truly cares about my well being. What was originally and terrifying ordeal in Ridgecrest (my home town) on Monday of that week was now something doable and could be handled as an Out patient at the Oasis Surgery Center in Palmdale on Friday the next week. Which is whole another wonderful story. All I can say is Dr. Mukesh Misra MD is the only Neurosurgeon I will ever see. His staff is outstanding and Dr. Mukesh Misra MD was sent from Heaven just for me. From the bottom of my heart, I can't thank the Antelope Valley Neuroscience Medical Group team enough. read more
