Matt came over ahead of schedule and was very pleasant. I showed him the room we wanted to move a ceiling fan from one side of the room to the center. He said it would be no problem and quickly got to work. He made sure to lay down plastic to catch any dust/debry. He asked about placement and offered his opinion. It turned out great! Once he was done he cleaned everything up. Great attention to detail, timely and personable. I would definitely use them again! read more

I needed support replacing 3 old, 4-ft florescent light fixtures in my garage. Anson Electric was easy to communicate with and had great pricing compared to other companies I reached out to. The work completed was fast, and great quality. Oscar did a fantastic job. Highly recommend! read more

Daniel was amazing. Very professional and knowledgeable. Great price and responded very quickly

Returning customer here. We had Anson Electric to help us multiple times. This time, Oscar and Erik did a fantastic job to re-wire our switch, install a new outlet, fix a recess light, and replace an exhaust fan. They understood our needs and suggested a better option (still up to code), kept us in the loop with all their work, and kept working area clean. Their quote is transparent and would only charge for actual work performed. It's pleasant to work with Anson Teams overall. Highly recommended read more

I have hired Anson Electric for several projects. They are very reliable, fair and thorough. I have also been very happy with the customer service I've received. Even when there was a minor issue with trim work, they were happy to come back and address it. Oscar went above and beyond today when I called for one issue, and he corrected a completely separate issue. I rarely feel comfortable recommending contractors, but I am 100% satisfied with Anson Electric. read more

Electric ceiling fan and vanity light installation was a prompt success thanks to Oscar's hard work.

Ceiling fan installation. Great customer service and very friendly technician. 4 ceiling fans installed and we love them.

I reached out to Anson via Yelp last summer and earlier this week. When I hired them last year, I did so based on the company's Yelp rating, competitive pricing, and their effective communication. David, the owner, responded to my Yelp request in a timely manner and was very clear about pricing, the appointment, etc. He's also friendly, which isn't easy for most to convey via messaging. These are very important qualities to me because I'm the type of person who needs to know EVERYTHING before hiring a company and who appreciates a company who is responsive to my messaging or calls. At the time, Jose was the electrician who David sent to my house to fix the issue. Jose was professional, focused, and determined to solve the problem. On top of rectifying the issue, I was very appreciative that Jose explained his steps in fixing the problem. Recently, I called Anson again--based on the experience I had with the company last year--to fix a different problem. David responded just as friendly and effectively as he did last year. This time, he sent out Oscar, and he did a great job as well. He arrived early, answered all of my questions, and fixed the issue relatively fast. He was also very friendly. Needless to say, I highly recommend this company for your electrical needs. read more

We had several quotes from several electrical contractors. All quoting tremendous rates and expanding the scope of the job. Not the case with Anson. They were honest, friendly, and when their rep, Matt showed up (on the earlier side of the 2 hour window). He came up with an even easier, more cost effective solution. He finished the job in under 2 hours. All wires were tucked and new covers applied. Strongly recommend. Will use again for any needs in the future in a heartbeat. read more

I would like to give Anson Electric more than 5 stars if I could. I am a general contractor and can generally fix most problems, but after spending hours changing GFIC's in the bathroom, replacing breakers and tracing everything I could to no result, I called Anson electric. They came out promptly and found a loose neutral buried in the garage, made the repair and it all works perfect. Thanks for another great job. Bill Brewer read more

Did a great job on my project! Fair price for the work and will use again for future projects.

I had evaluated them in the past with 5 stars based on first experiences I had with them. A while back one of their electricians was quite some work but we managed to come to some progress this time I had an issue with CFD lights and they provided a very unreasonable quote for a repair and I went with someone much cheaper and to be honest from my perspective friendlier. read more

David and his technician Oscar were true professionals that installed our EV charger in the garage in a super fast, and cost efficient manner. I sent out a request for proposal at 8 in the morning and had a competitive and agreeable bid within a few minutes. The electrician was at the house within less than an hour of our accepted estimate. The job was done very cleanly and our new EV charger was installed inside the garage and the set up looked great. Thanks for the great value and professional job well done! read more

I've had a wonderful experience with Anson Electric. They've been my go to electricians since we've moved into our home. From replacing outlets, installing bathroom fans, and installing an EV charging outlet and station, they've been nothing short of amazing. They are very communicative throughout the entire process. Scheduling is very painless and they typically are able to assist with a project within a few days. Pricing is also very fair and they do no price gouge. I will always look towards them for any of my future electrical needs. read more

Great experience x2 - Highly recommended. Coordination with David and Griselda for site survey, quotes and scheduling went well. Onsite team (Jose, Alonzo and Joel) were courteous, professional and efficient. We partnered with them to replace recessed lighting, replace smoke detectors, and install light fixtures (chandeliers, sconces, pendent). Of note, a chandelier with many crystals was successfully installed in a room with a high ceiling and an off-center starting position. This effort required moving the location of the chandelier to the center of the room before install. The end result is pictured in this review. Will definitely work with this team in the future. Stay well! read more

I found Anson to be professional, skillful, courteous and most of all able to communicate, which some contractor's could use improvement on. I appreciated the fact that the recessed light fixtures offered to me were a quality product (Halo) and not at the bottom range of the selection. Thanks David read more

We had a long list of fix-ups on a home we had purchased recently, including two mystery circuits we didn't understand. All 7 jobs were finished quickly and at relatively modest cost. The owner came back himself the next day when I called with a concern. read more

Our gas stove was dying after 20+ years and we decided to make the switch from gas to electric and needed a higher amp outlet for the electrical stove. Anson was the only one that would come out and give us an estimate and within the next week we had our new stove up and running. The price was less then the estimate because they didn't need to do any dry wall repair. They were fast and professional and we will make sure to call them again for any electrical work. Highly recommend. read more

Anson Electric is a 5-star company from the owner David to Teresa that makes the appointments and collects the information about the job to Matt that came to my house and performed the work. They are trustworthy and very knowledgeable with a fair price. Matt took the time to explain everything he was doing so my wife, and I would understand. I highly recommend Anson Electric Company. I don't normally hand out too many compliments, but they deserve it. read more

We've used Anson Electric a few times for various electrical upgrades and fixes at our house. They're extremely professional. Out of the several electricians I contacted, they were the only ones to pick up. Not only that, but the woman who answered the phone listened to what was wrong and walked me through some troubleshooting steps I hadn't thought of, actually helped me to figure out what was wrong, and I was able to fix the problem because of it. She could have just not listened to me, and sent someone out to collect a troubleshooting fee, for a simple fix, but she helped me instead, and if the rest of the company runs with the same dedication to helping their customers, I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them. Thank you guys so much! read more

I needed a quote to have a 220V outlet moved, a pump 110V cord reconfigured, and a DPDT light switch wiring checked and corrected. Instead of someone arriving to give me a quote, two electricians arrived to do the work without a quote. I had scheduled my time for a quote that I expected to take half an hour, not stand around for two hours while the work was being done. That was not what I asked for. I again asked for a quote, so the technician called the office and relayed my requests for a quote. It was two electricians, for two hours ea, $380.00 I decided that was not acceptable. I sent them away. I was pretty sure it was two man hours work at most. (I have some experience with construction and repair.) Another electrician was able to do the work himself in two hours. read more

Good Value for a licensed, bonded, and insured electrician... I used Anson for about as large of an electrical job as it gets, a whole home rewire and panel upgrade/replacement. I got several quotes, and originally went with Anson because they seemed to be a good value (ultimately not my cheapest quote) but when David came in, he gave me a good feeling that they weren't a fly-by-night contractor and they were licensed, bonded, and insured all at a good price. It took their workers about 2 1/2 weeks to finish the wiring work and panel upgrade and all of them were really pleasurable to work with. They were informative and respectful and handled everything I asked for. I am glad I used them because of the complicated nature of working with SDG&E and the City of San Diego on panel permits and new service pulls. Will definitely call them for future jobs. read more

I hired Anson Electric to replace a old sub-panel in my condo. A few months later I was selling my condo, and during the buyers inspection, they found that none of the outlets had a ground and the GFCI outlets were not working. It took Anson 2 days to repair the error, which was the panel did not have any of the ground wires run into it! Also, Anson Electric shared the information about all the work with any realtor that called them without asking me. Even after I talked to them about not sharing information about the work, they sent my invoice to a realtor. Every appointment I had with them, they came late, every appointment! I would not hire them again. read more

Great service they install a level 2 car Charger , good quality , they did it really fast

Hector Varela came and replaced 3 ceiling fans for me with ease. Thank you Hector! Definitely will use again.

We've worked with Anson before and came back again having had a very great experience before. The technicians working on our residential project, including Jose and Oscar worked very hard and were friendly. They worked with us to find the solutions that make the most sense. We'll come back again :-) read more

Our initial reaction was that they are very good electricians. The work that we asked them to do was done promptly, correctly, on time -- or so we thought. We asked them to diagnose a connection in our kitchen. Although no work was done they diagnosed it as being installed correctly. We have yet to see if that is accurate. It has been faulty, so we'll see. We had them install a new outlet for a work area on our second floor. That appears to be done correctly. Finally we had them troubleshoot and repair an outdoor outlet that has been damaged by some landscaping work we had done. They got this outdoor outlet working correctly. However the inside outlets in the second-floor bedroom immediately opposite of where they repaired the outdoor outlets are now behaving strangely as if there is a damaged wire in the wall boards in that room. In fact, all of the wiring in the guest suite is behaving as if there is a short in it. These plugs and lights are going on it off randomly in the guest bedroom and all the lighting in the guest bathroom is arbitrarily choosing to work or not work whenever. And, these plugs and lights are not attached to any sort of GFI and are not responding or breaking any breakers. Very dangerous. Since this is right next to the outdoor wiring that was supposedly repaired I'm a believer in cause-and-effect.I have called Anson Electric at least 10 times. The owner has not returned my call. Nor have they rescheduled with me to come out and take a look. I am extremely concerned and hope my house does not BURN DOWN! At the moment I would give this place a strong "DO NOT RECOMMEND -- NONRESPONSIVE" Especially when you consider that 1/4 of my house basically doesn't have power because of them ----------------------------------------- Hi David. I called you company line and spoke directly to Yvette and left messages. I called hourly all day. The electrical in this room is going on and off intermittently depending on how we wiggle the socket. This is not good. If we plug something in one of the sockets and wiggle it all of the lights in the bathroom and the bedroom start working. I am not comfortable with this -- it's a short so I know it needs to be repaired. read more

I am super impressed with Anson's customer service and professionalism. I requested a same day service and very satisfied with their work. The person answering the call (Griselda) was very polite ad helpful , she was able to coordinate with a technician within couple of hours to stop by.
