Lemon Blueberry Goat Cheese Pancakes

E was a fantastic server, they were so friendly and made great recommendations! I loved my vanilla cold brew, and that there were several iced coffee options- that's rare at most breakfast spots! Their mimosa and cocktail menu also was huge and looked delicious- all were available non-alcoholic as well they offer gluten and vegan menus from the beginning which is extra customer friendly! 3 of the 4 of us ordered the Lemon Blueberry Goat Cheese Pancakes and were highly impressed- love that they come with eggs your way and a breakfast meat for the price! Biscuit beignets were a nice appetizer- 4 for a party of 4 is the perfect treat. We will definitely be back.

Fresh food fast and friendly service. Complimentary beignets for first time customer which were yummy! And had orange marmalade with it, so delicious!

We stopped for a Wednesday lunch. First timers. The crowd was medium and the place was clean and neat. We got immediate service from Hunter our waiter. The libations looked wonderful but could not imbibe this time. Well onward to the main menu.. So many choices. I was caught in the seafood aisle with the shrimp Benedict. Only hoping I can return soon and have the crab wrap or the wonderful lobster omelet. Our food was served fresh and steaming hot. Our nearby table guests admitted this was the norm and all of the food was delicious. We had a glorious lunch with the Belgian waffle and sides $14 and the Shrimp Benedict for $16. Great Food, great service, and a nice comfy clean place to eat. And eat well. Can't wait to return.

Just the perfect spot! (Use Yelp to get in line)

It's just another breakfast place, right? Well, sort of, and well, no. Another Broken Egg Cafe is a Southern-style breakfast and that alone should get your arteries prepared for clogging. Scoop the lard and smother everything, right? I jest, of course. This place is doing breakfast and more *just* right. From a solid Bloody Mary to 'biscuit beignets' to chicken & waffles, you simply cannot miss here. I know, beignets are not to be made with biscuits, but stay with me here: get a half-order if you have no faith, devour these little munchkins that are dusted in powdered sugar, and validate my thoughts. They are really stinkin' good. I opted for a Supreme omelet on this visit, nestled against a bowl of grits (yay! Southern!), and accompanied by an English muffin. French chefs get trained early in the art of the omelet, cooking them low & slow to get that fluffy goodness, and Another Broken Egg must subscribe to the same curriculum. This omelet was more than an inch high, stuffed with 'shrooms, bacon, & cheese inside airy layers of egg. Smashing success! Throw in the grits, which I rarely opt for, which were perfectly cooked and dee-lish. The Mrs. chose the chicken & waffles, because she's more southern than I am, but how hard can it be to put chicken strips on a waffle? Welp, it must take some skill because ABC is straight nailing this one. Light, fluffy Belgian-style waffles with crispy, hand-breaded chicken, and with some maple syrup, boy this is good! Seriously, a must try. Great space, fairly easy to find, though it's JoCo, so be prepared for medians and impassable turning spots. The bar is stocked and the drink specials, while I missed on this turn, are legit. Great service, great food, great place!

Had the tiramisu French toast, and it was heavenly and not overly sweet. The Maple cold brew was amazing. Hubs had the Cajun omelet and Bloody Mary and gives it two thumbs up! Overall, we're very happy and will definitely be coming back to this place more often

Sooo yummy. One of my favorite brunch spots!! The food is always good and the mimosas never disappoint!

This for the new prairie village location because I could not find a Yelp page for them! When you walk in, the ambiance is great. I liked the lighting. We chose to sit outside to enjoy the nice weather. We both got the seasonal specials and our kids had kids meals. The barbacoa tostado type dish was very very good. The only thing it could have used are some jalapeños or some more spice. My husband got the chicken fried steak and he thought it was too bland. The potatoes were overcooked and bland so I chose not to eat them. Y'all are in training so the wait was fine- but it did take 1.5 hour before we had our food. Servers and the manager were all very nice and brought out kids fruit when we asked because the kids were so hungry.

Their parking lot always seems to be full such a positive sign, right? I made a reservation and went inside. It's beautiful service of welcoming guest. Was given a table and specials menu, which had amazing options. I chose pastrami with sweet potato fries. I must tell you that my choice was outstanding. It was delicious greasy, and the meat was so tender and flavorful with the mustard sauce. The fries were crispy and soft from inside. The spicy oil was great. A friend of mine took catfish which I felt was great too. It's a beautiful restaurant family owned great ambience very nice service courteous people. We were seated on time at a table next to the bar-side of the dining room. Speaking of the dining room, it's a nice, if standard size for a strip-mall space, but I really appreciated that the tables were not stacked on top of each other, as seems to be the case at more and more places these days. It felt like there might be some chance of our entire conversation not being completely overheard by our neighbors, which was nice for a change! Our waitress was fantastic! She walked us through the menu, the restaurant's approach to cooking and seasonality, some of her faves, and made wonderful recommendations! We decided to split a few small plates, which was a great approach! We got to try about 1/3 of the small plate menu, and loved it all! It was all great, but the Black Cardamom Burnt Ends are NOT to be missed! It made my cardamom-loving, Midwest soul very, very happy indeed! The space is a really nice size - not massive or overwhelming - and with the shades drawn down (to seal out the late afternoon sun, thank goodness!) and dim lighting, the mood vibes were solid for a romantic anniversary dinner! The other ambiance item of note is that the restroom corridor smelled absolutely fantastic! Upon investigation, it was due to a burning candle from a lovely local-KC company that was custom made for the restaurant! Yes, they're for sale, and yes, we picked up two! While everything was lovely and the food was very good, you're definitely paying a high price for it. Not that it's not deserved, but the "value" feels aren't necessarily "off the charts", by any means. And that is really my only critique, if there is any at all! Food = 5/5 Facility = 4/5 Service = 5/5 Ambiance = 4/5 Value = 3/5

Wings: The garlic parm was the standout -- fresh, flavorful, and honestly better than my usual Buffalo Wild Wings order. The tikka masala didn't really taste like tikka masala (more like a standard BWW flavor), but it was still tasty. The only drawback was the size of the wings -- smaller than I expected. Next time I'll probably go for the 16 or 20 piece. Waffle: I picked the Belgian waffle with maple syrup dip. It came hot but not crispy, with just a dusting of powdered sugar. Still sweet and enjoyable, though next time I want to try the bubble waffle for something different. Fries: Got the seasoned fries on the side -- good flavor and seasoning, though like the waffle, they weren't super crisp. Still tasty on their own, but I would've loved an option to pick dips (ranch, queso, garlic parm, etc.) instead of just being handed four maple syrups. Extras & Drinks: They also offer mac & cheese or the bubble waffle as side options, plus unique teas and lemonades for $1 more, or milkshakes for $4.50. Prices on extra dips are $0.99 each. Overall, it's a fun and unique concept -- fair-style food in a neighborhood spot. The food is flavorful, not always the crispiest or warmest on carryout, but easily fixed with a microwave or air fryer. I'll definitely be back, especially to try the bubble waffle and maybe some loaded fries or wraps/buns during happy hour (2-4 PM).

Scotch Eggs in Leawood?…read more Located in a suburban strip mall around 129th and State Line in Leawood, there is ample parking in the communal lot. Stepping inside the atmosphere is that of a real (modern) Irish pub, with a full bar and comfortable tables. An old wood and leather feel that sets the stage for authentic Irish fare. Having been to their restaurant in Westwood, I have to say that I like this location better - it just "feels" better. Being part of a group of about 20 for lunch, we were seated in a separate room which made socializing easy without bothering the other customers. After being welcomed by our waiter, menus passed out and drink orders taken, we were informed that their chef was from Dublan and that dishes were made fresh in-house. While I did see Scotch Eggs (I like to think of them as an Irish version of an Egg McMuffin) on the menu, I jumped on their Fish & Chips. The breaded North Atlantic Cod was moist and flakey at the same time, with a great flavor. Included was slaw, mushy peas, and their house cut fries (all very tasty). A dash of malt vinegar and a squeeze of lemon later and I was loving it all! Portions were all pretty large, so come hungry and expect to leave satisfied. Prices are well within expectations considering quality of service, food, and atmosphere. Having been a waiter "back in the day" I was impressed with the friendly and efficient service. Not once did I see anyone waiting overly long for drink refills or their meals. That is very comforting during these "post COVID" times of reopening and short staffing. Kudo's to all involved. It is nice to see a true Irish pub in the middle of Leawood. With this one and the one on Rainbow being about the same distance from my Lee's Summit home, expect to see me returning often. Next time I will try their Scotch Eggs!

Place is the bomb. Food is amazing, atmosphere is perfect and the service is the best.read more

Went there for dinner last night to celebrate a birthday…read more We had the shrimp scampi and the pork chop. Both main courses were excellent. The scampi had a generous portion of good size shrimp. The pork chop was very thick and large yet was very flavorful and tender. The pork chop came with mashed potatoes and seasoned vegetables. However, in looking over the menu I saw they had a variety of sides. I asked if I could change me sides, which they were more than glad to do. I got the carrots and the cornbread. The carrots were delicious and there was a lot of them. The cornbread tasted good but was a little dry. Next time I would stay with the carrots but try something else. As I said the pork chop was very big and I took about half of it home. When I placed my order the waiter asked if I wanted to order a second pork chop, which I passed on. However, next time I may take him up on the offer and have an additional one to take home. All around I give it 5 stars. Also, we asked about desert. There was no desert menu nor a desert tray to help us make a decision. The waiter did rattle off the desert options, however this was kind of busy to follow. A desert menu or try would certainly go a lot further, as far as we are concerned. In summary, the food was outstanding, the service was very good and the atmosphere was pleasant.

I wasn't sure what to expect as I tend to be a bit weary of chain restaurants. I have to say though, this one had a really nice vibe and I get why people like it here. First of all, it's a nice restaurant with elevated vibes. It reminded me of places I used to go with my grandparents as a kid. It had great service, comfortable seating, and a nice menu. If anything it just feels like it caters to an older crowd - nothing wrong with that, just not my usual vibe. For brunch that day I had the migas and it was really great. Tons of food, and I easily made two meals out of my lunch. Something to note about the menus though is that they don't have a kids menu. They did share items for kids that they have on hand, but no physical menu to look at so not sure the prices or anything. Our daughter had a hamburger and she loved it so that was a win. One plus was she was able to get a side of fruit instead of fries, which was a win for her since she has declared that she only likes McDonald's french fries these days. Overall this is a nice sit restaurant with table service that has an elevated and sophisticated vibe. Likely geared towards older generations but younger folks will find plenty to enjoy here as well.
