I can't say enough about how much we enjoyed our first visit to Another Broken Egg! We sat at the bar, where we admired the reclaimed barn wood ceramic tile and other contemporary, but country-inspired decor. So cute! The food was delicious! We were greeted with some beignets covered in powdered sugar with a side of marmalade. My boyfriend ordered two eggs and bacon with a side of potatoes and an English muffin. Basic, but excellent. I got the Lucy something omelet, with chorizo and cheese. It can with an English muffin, and I subbed fruit for potatoes. Delicious! ABE has flavored coffee creamers, which is a nice touch. There's also a bar if you're into alcohol in the AM. They're working on a multi-season room, and it's going to be super nice. The service was second to none. Jocelyn and Erin were so friendly and fun, and they also did a great job handling our order and all of the other customers. They made a great meal even better! We went on a Wednesday morning around 9am and were seated immediately in their little four seasons patio room on the side which was cute with garage windows that we opened. The food was great - I love a good savory egg dish and so, I ordered the Southwest Scrambler with potatoes. However, in this day and age of COVID, I was disappointed to see that none of the staff were wearing a mask and there were still shared condiments on the table. The negatives were; the hostess was not wearing a mask, it took over a half an hour to receive our food and the server took the salt and pepper from the table that had just left and gave it to us. Another person behind butts in front who had checked in on the waitlist online after us, was given a table. When the host finally got back he said 5 minutes to clean a 4 top. I saw this as a new spot on Yelp so I'd figured I'd give it a try since my daughter and I are always looking for new brunch spots. We used the waitlist and were seated quickly upon arrival. Very friendly staff and management was really attentive. First time having sweet beignets, those are a must have!! I had the seasonal lobster and city grits and my daughter had the shrimp and grits. Food took quite some time to come out but with them being open only a week I expect them to knock out the kinks. I would give them a five star once that improves. Lobster dish didn't have as much meat but the food overall was savory, delicious and worth the wait! I will definitely be back! Glad we have found a new spot. Just left Another Broken Egg. The biggest disappointment was the management. The wait staff did a great job for a busy Sunday morning. My wife asked for a table for 10, and told the staff, no rush not everyone is here. They sat us anyway. After about 5-10 minutes, the rest of our party was not at the restaurant yet, but where close. The manager came up to ask and informed us he needed us to give up our table....we have people waiting. Well, it's a Sunday morning at 9am. Every restaurant serving breakfast is on a wait. We explained to the manager, if he made us give up our seats, we would go to a different restaurant and never come back. He apologized and left us alone. Our friends showed up within 5-10 minutes. We only occupied the table for a grand total of 1 hour 15 minutes. When we left my wife tipped the server over 20%. During our stay, the managers from the front of the restaurant, kept giving us nasty looks and made my wife and I uncomfortable. I would love to give this place 5 stars, but I am giving just two. I really like the food, it's usually good! But the service is bad. I get it, they are very busy most of the time. But every time I order online they are missing something or messing up, either it's add on's or butter for muffins or muffins itself. One time I've got tater tots instead of fresh farm potatoes and I hate those. At least let me know that you are out of your regular potatoes and if I would like to change for something else. So disappointed in this experience. To start, our waiter had the personality of a fish. No greeting, no letting us know about the special menu we discovered after ordering. My husbands sausage was so over spiced he ate one bite and asked to sub it for bacon. We were charged for both. I never got a refill on my tea so I asked for one to go. It was barely bigger than a Dixie cup. Not worth the effort. My husbands coffee was $3.50 and barely drinkable. He had only one cup which is rare for him. Easily 30% higher bill than most other breakfast spots and definitely not worth it. No manager in sight to report this to. read more

This place is no yolk amazing!! This was our first experience at Another Broken Egg while visiting friends in KC. We have 2 small kiddos and the wait staff was so attentive to our needs. While waiting on our meal they brought out yogurt and fruit for the kids and as for the adults, we enjoyed delightful Bloody Mary's. Im pretty picky about my Mary's but these really rule the roost. Our brunch was equally amazing. I ordered the Lobster and Brie omelet and my husband the Shrimp and Grits. I find myself craving this meal quite frequently...if only there was ABE close to home!!! Wow !! What an amazing Sunday brunch experience !! The place was packed and I took a seat at the bar and started with the Abe's spicy Bloody Mary ! Delicious!! And I was impressed with the different styles of drinks and the awesome garnishes. Ordered the Lobster and city grits which was one of the best I've had so far. The staff was efficient and things moved at the right pace. I absolutely loved the food and environment !! I don't know what has happened to this restaurant, but we won't be back. Today I ordered a spinach sunrise scrambler and the waiter delivered it without any spinach! The waiter said, "We are out of spinach but it has everything else" and walked away. No apologies. No offer to order something else before it was cooked. Meal was supposed to come with our favorite country potatoes but they substituted with mediocre tater tots. Additionally, the english muffin was dry and tasted terrible. I was so excited for a new breakfast spot in PV but this was disappointing. The scrambled eggs were powdered eggs (dry!) after my specifically asking for "fresh eggs". The hostess graciously took them back for fresh, cracked eggs as ordered and they were very good. The breakfast potatoes were dry, hard, absolutely unseasoned, no onion or peppers, no bacon grease, nada! They would've pinged off the table. The butter was frozen so not even close to melting on my biscuit, just sat there in hard chunks. They had plenty of help and good coffee but those were the only Pros. They were out of individual creams for coffee so brought my cream in a small stainless salad dressing cup. The ladies room had no paper towels an hour after reporting they were out. They have a ways to go if they hope to compete with First Watch, Homegrown, and French Market. I'm sorry. I'll give them one more try but wasn't impressed on this one. read more

I got take out. The food was delicious. My compliments to the chef. They deserve 5 stars. The people in charge, however, deserve none. This place is operating with what seems to be very little regard to local rules and regulations which are currently requiring less than 50% occupancy. I popped in for takeout and the place was packed with only one table open. Ten to twelve people of various parties were congregated at the entrance and groups of customers were roaming around maskless as they made their way from their tables to the entrance/ exit. I had to squeeze through the crowd at the door to get to the take out table. I was just glad it was near enough to the door that I could get in and out with one held breath. We will continue to support take out dining during Covid but it's unfortunate that upon our pick up this morning the owner/GM didn't have a mask on. She has complete disregard for her customers. It's absolutely shameful. Business owners in Johnson County have a personal responsibility for the safety of the all customers. This is not political this is common sense and a Johnson County requirement. It makes me question what's happening behind the scenes (in the kitchen). If you are looking for a breakfast spot I would seriously consider a business that respects policies and safety requirements.
