Jorge replied right away to my inquiry and was very responsive about when he would be able to come out and check out what needed to be done. He texted before the appointment time to confirm and also showed up on time. Jorge was pleasant, seemed knowledgeable, and seemed to really listen to what we wanted. (We had bought stainless steel outdoor cabinets for our grill and outdoor prep area, but the grill and side burner we got didn't drop in as seamlessly as another brand would have so we needed some customized pieces to make it look seamless.) Jorge told me when he would have his estimate ready (couple days) and then communicated it to me on time. We found it very reasonable, and he was able to turn around the work fairly quickly and on the promised date. He and his worker came at the promised time, installed the pieces (nicely welded) and checked in with us. Very communicative, punctual, reasonably-priced for custom work, and good quality. So glad to have connected with Jorge Martinez. Another welder who was well-rated on Yelp that we contacted never replied. I followed up with a phone call and text. He acknowledged receipt of both but never responded about the job even when I had said "just let me know if you aren't interested so I know to move on." My deck has a lot of odd angles and was a complicated project, but Paul made everything feel easy. He was extremely communicative--texted me back right away, came out immediately to give me a quote, and always answered every follow-up question I had. It was genuinely a pleasure working with him. My custom-designed railing (64 linear feet) was hot-dip galvanized and took about six weeks from start to finish. Paul recommended a matte black finish because the hot-dip process can leave slight irregularities, but it ensures the metal will never rust. He was absolutely right--the final result is stunning. The railing was installed the day before my birthday party, and we made it just in time. All of my guests and neighbors were blown away by how beautiful everything turned out. Paul is professional, reliable, and highly skilled. I would honestly ignore any one-star reviews--they do not reflect the quality of his work or service.
