    Breakfast croissant!
    Tiffany Y.

Simple, tasty, and quick! Not to mention pretty affordable too considering the area. Found this spot on Yelp when looking for breakfast sandwiches and it was exactly what I was in the mood for. They also have lots of other sandwich options and drinks like smoothies and green juice so I can definitely see this being a popular lunch spot for grab and go. It's right in this cute little alley with patio seating outside and lots of street parking. Service is friendly and quick so that's all you could ask for! As you wait, check out the wall with all the different actors/actresses that have signed / been there. I'm terrible with names so I don't really know who is who but still pretty cool. Overall, small cozy vibes with no frills in the food. I would swing by here again if I just want something quick and simple!

Great menu with great prices! I like the green juice and the sandwiches with friendly service. It's quite small so you may be able to sit you may not.

Great little spot for sandwiches and juices... Anny's Ruben sandwich is a must have.... The sandwiches come with a bag of chips....

I decided to try Anny's this time. This place is very close to my work within walking distance. It's a small local sandwich shop, where you can get sandwiches, salads, and drinks. They taste really good, but the portions are smaller. If you get a sandwich, you get a free chips.

First time coming here and I'm obsessed!! I got the Chicken Pesto Panini and it was sooooo good. It also came with a free bag of chips of your choice. I also got a Green Smoothie and it's probably one of the best smoothies I've ever had. It was super tasty! Not to mention the owner/employees were super nice too! Quick service and super affordable prices'! Overall, 10/10 recommend you have to try Annys if you're ever in the area

Tiny plaza area, Anny's is on the left

I had ordered from this place from grub hub once because it's very close to where I work. That time I ordered their pastrami sandwich and it was so so so yummy!!! Today, I actually went to the location and I was so shocked at how tiny but mighty this place is, in terms of customers! They sell sandwiches and smoothies and other snacks and goods! I had their breakfast croissant sandwich with avocado, turkey, egg and bacon it was absolutely delightful. I also had a chai tea latte and it was honestly one of the best I've ever had!! ! Definitely going to be a repeat customer since it's so dangerously close to my office . Yum! Highly recommend this place!

You can genuinely taste the difference here because everything is made fresh to order with real ingredients. None of the artificial, overly sweet stuff you get at chain smoothie places. I love that they don't add sugar, so the natural flavors of the fruit actually shine through. Every smoothie I've had has been consistently delicious. The owner is also one of the sweetest people you'll meet. He's been running this little shop for years, and you can tell how much love and care goes into everything they make. It's the kind of small family-owned business that makes Melrose feel special, and I always leave happier than when I walked in. If you're shopping on Melrose, skip the big chains and stop here instead. Great smoothies, fresh ingredients, kind people, and supporting a local mom-and-pop business is always a win. The smoothies were some of the best I've had in LA -- incredibly fresh, balanced, and flavorful. We tried the Tony Special, the Melrose Special, and the Coconut Cardamom, and each one was fantastic in its own way. What made the experience even better was the service. Vahe, the owner, was incredibly welcoming and attentive. He made us feel right at home and clearly takes pride in what he serves, giving us a few free samples of his favorite items! We also had wheatgrass shots for our friend Nando's mother, who is visiting Los Angeles from Portugal for the first time -- and it was such a fun, memorable experience for her. Fresh ingredients, amazing smoothies, and exceptional hospitality. We'll absolutely be back.

literally my fav place for over 12 years now!…read more the smoothies are consistent and amazing and the staff is super helpful/ knowledgeable recently I thought I was coming down with something wasn't able to stop at home before a call and I told them my symptoms and they gave my a one time packet of magnesium and some type of probiotic. No one said hello to me when I walked in despite there being no other customers. The man behind the desk watched me read the menu and served someone else who knew what they wanted. No problem. I said hello, how are you when I stepped up but he didn't respond, waiting to take my order. (No one behind me but I got the message this guy doesn't do small talk.) So, I ordered an Acai bowl and I'm pretty sure I paid $2.50 extra for peanut butter on the top. I asked if I could have the bowl to go to which he responded with an air of annoyance that all the plastic bowls have lids. "Do you have bags?" I asked. "I'm walking," I explained. "Yes we have bags but you have to ask us for them when your order is done because when we just give them people change their mind and stay." Ummmm ok there is no line, I already know I'm not staying cause this bad music is too loud and I'm not into night club decibel music at 9 am but cool cool cool. Acai bowl is ready in a few minutes and the lovely young woman asks if I want a bag. Yes please, I'm walking. Bye. I walk all the way home and open the bowl to realize I've been duped. I have paid $17.00 plus a small tip ( he was after all, rude) for a bowl of Acai. There is one blueberry, a few slices of banana, no shredded coconut to speak of, about a tablespoon of granola (I asked for half) and the worst offense of all- the most meager drizzle of peanut butter they should have just not bothered. I'm not even sure what else this was supposed to have in it because all I did was eat and taste Acai. And did I really pay extra for a teaspoon of peanut butter? I know the rent here must be insane but sheesh, how about serving a decent Acai bowl to justify the price. Put the ingredients advertised in it please. Thanks.

I went with a couple of friends for dinner- we were around the area and thought it was an opportune time to show them a place they weren't familiar with! I've been here since I was a kid, and though some things changed, alot hasn't! This was during a world cup game, so it was very lively at pub areas as they were broadcasting live. Everyone was so invested, from the patrons, chefs, servers, and even line cooks! Went to a stall selling the 'best corned beef sandwich' from Magee's kitchen. The servers and cook were super nice and the corned beef on display made my mouth water! It was very good, and paired with their blood orange soda, wasn't too heavy! It was a big enough sandwich that I took the other half home! I also got a cornbread muffin from Gumbo pot- which was good but a little dry. There's plenty of shade, though the area is mostly outdoors- lots of trees and buildings with covers and awnings. There's a fancy French market in there and plenty of eating options (though open hours vary). Come by this historic stop, walk through the Grove, and enjoy the hustle and bustle!
