I have been a loyal customer of Ann's since about 2021 and will NOT be back after today. I had an appointment for 11:30 AM that I had made days in advance on the business website. I arrived for my appointment on time and watched people who arrived after me get called back for 30 minutes. At noon, I asked the woman at the front desk if they would be able to get me in soon as my appointment was half an hour ago. She said yes, and it would just be a few minutes. Fair enough, the salon was busy. 30 MORE minutes later, they are STILL calling people back who arrived after I did. At this point, I asked the front desk again whether they would be able to get me in soon and pointed out the fact that people who arrived after me had been called back for an hour, even after I had said something once. They MISSED MY APPOINTMENT somehow, after I had been checked in, sitting in front of them, and asked the front desk TWICE when it would be time for me. They did apologize and offer a discount, but I'd prefer to find a nail salon who doesn't ignore the existence of longtime customers. read more

Positives: same day appointment, quick service Negatives: nail tech didn't ask what shape I wanted (I came in with almond and she cut them square and was about to paint them when I mentioned that they were not even shaped.) I started going there back in high school which was about 5 years ago. I always had a great experience there and was a very loyal customer. The past few times I went I was not satisfied whatsoever. This down fall had started once Charlie left but I still went back because I hadn't found a salon yet and still felt that this was a good place to go. When I realized i was not happy there anymore was when one of the technicians (Stephanie) was doing my nails. I showed a picture of what I wanted and to be used as a reference. She was no help in matching the colors and seemed like she was in a hurry to get me done( meanwhile I was the first appointment at 9:30am) I had gone in with a friend so we were chatting most of the time. I look down at my nails and the design I wanted was nothing like the picture (I understand too that it isn't going to be 100% since everyone is different) and it was on a different finger on each hand. I said that it was on the wrong finger on one of my hands. She told me that I wasn't paying attention .... I'm sorry what? I had gone to a different salon that same day just to get redone and waste more money. So the next few times I went, wasn't bad but still wasn't as good as it use to be. This past time I went, all of my fingers are cut at the cuticle , shapes of each nails are all different, and spots are blotchy. It's just really sad that I am most likely going to go somewhere else because Ann's has become so inconsistent. I would think my time there would have been better because I had been going for so long. I wonder if anyone is going to read this because it is so long and if Ann will read it. read more

The last couple of times I've gone to Ann's they are very busy and rush the service. I don't usually write negative reviews but I have been going to Ann's for years and I'm very disappointed with their customer service. The color I chose was not the color I received and my pedicure was rushed.....Lee did not trim my cuticles. I asked for sparkles and she said no that my toenails were too short. My sister and I had manicures and pedicures past Saturday, 5/17. We were out of town guests in town, for a wedding. I made our appointments on line back on May 5th. We arrived promptly at 9:30 am for our appointments. It was a busy a salon, and we were told to check in. I checked us in, and then we waited for about 15 minutes until we were asked, "Do you have an appt? What do you want done? " We both responded that yes, we had appts and said what we were there for. In fact, several technicians asked us the same question....multiple times, and then would just walk away. My sister was taken first to a nail station to start her manicure, where the technician buffed her nails, and then asked what she wanted, (again). My sister showed her the colors she wanted, and then was taken to a pedicure chair. I was eventually taken to a pedicure chair, and my pedicure started. Nothing wonderful or "spa like" for my gel pedicure. It was rushed, and disorganized. My sister was sitting across from me, and her technician didn't even speak with her, and rushed her pedicure. She was done with her pedicure before I was 1/2 way done with mine. Then her tech started on her nails while she sat in the pedicure chair. Her mani and pedi was completed, before I was 1/2 done with my pedicure!! No time was given to her, and the technician was less than kind, or interested in taking her time with her. I soon left the chair to go to table for my manicure. Then I was told to go to another technician to get it finished. I sat down, and the technician didn't even look at me, and just started my nails. It was done in 10 minutes. The service was absolutely NOT spa like. We were rushed and not even treated like they were happy we were there. The cost was outrageous too. $65 dollars for a pedicure! I was upcharged $20 because I wanted gel polish on my toenails. In total I paid $85.00. My sister was charged $90, and not sure why, as she had the same exact service as me. And her service was done in 30 minutes!! We will never be back to this salon, as we were out of town guests only. Our manicures have already chipped in less than 24 hours as well. I've been to this salon several times and can only recommend it. Lulu usually does my manicure and pedicure. She's gentle, efficient, friendly, patient and she really knows what she's doing. From gel to powder - my nails do last a long time and look great - even after 3 - 4 weeks. The salon is clean, bright and welcoming and booking an appointment is a breeze. My husband and I usually treat ourselves to a mani/pedi once a month at this salon. read more

What's supposed to be a relaxing experience definitely wasn't. My gel manicure took 18 minutes and it's literally the worst manicure I've ever had. I asked for my nails to be squared off and the polish is really sloppy. They charged for $40 for a gel manicure presumably because I asked for a heart on the one nail. We requested different services. I asked for a mani pedi. I got talked into dip nails & gel pedicures. Always an up-sale wherever I go. I'm to blame for being a pushover. My nails are good. Not the shape I wanted but good enough for now. My toes and nails are three shades off each other, at least. I guess it's ok? I mean I notice but I thought it was just me. The tech never noticed. Hmmmm. All-in-all my experience was fine. My tech was super friendly. We = me & my friend. My friend's experience was not even half as good. We started together but her services were so fast she was completely finished before my nails were done. (The pedicures were second) Her nails were ACRYLIC which she asked for a fill. They are now dip. The tech dipped once, you could see through them. They were so sharp she cut her own hand. Lumpy and gritty but gel over top with no shine. It was weird. Her pedicure was great. No issues. So, she didn't want to ruin my time and we just left. She was texted a service review, I was not. She explained her situation and they simply said to "return for a redo if she wanted" We both decided not to bother. She got her nails fixed 4 days later. I feel very bad leaving a negative review. My tech was wonderful and talkative. I enjoyed it immensely....minus sitting mostly alone watching my friend from afar....while the techs bantered and laughed back and forth in another language. It can be very unwelcoming.... Or like you're invading a good time? Usually the TV provides a diversion from being excluded from a conversation taking place right in front of you but that was on a "Lost Signal" screen for the entire time. I'm very happy with the mani/pedi I received from Stephanie at Ann's today! The salon is very clean and it was easy to make my appointment by calling that morning. Stephanie beautifully evened up my overworked (yard work damaged) fingernails! And perfect polish job on both them and my toes. I purchased a gift card for a friend at this salon. The friend lost the card. Even though Ann acknowledges that I paid for the service (I have my credit card receipt) they will not provide the service OR refund the money. They have a record of the purchase in the salon. The failed to respond to a Better Business Bureau complaint until I sent a certified demand letter at the suggestion of the magistrate. They certainly may do a nice job on nails, but they have my $100 and won't provide the service without a card that cannot be found and also won't refund my money. What's that called? read more

My friend and I went here to get our nails done this passed weekend. We both got powder dip nails with tips. We both had such a great experience in this salon! The staff was very kind and professional and they have a very wide selection of colors and powders! I got my nails done by Tony, and although I am usually skeptical of male nail technicians, he did an amazing job, and I will definitely be returning to him. They are in the middle of remodeling but the place was still pretty put together and very functional. Charlie did my pedicure. Hands down it was one of the best pedicures I've ever received. I haven't been here in a few years and I just changed my review back to 5 stars. Tony did my nails and they look amazing. He even made suggestions to make them a little most festive for the holidays and they are beautiful, and still fit my personality. I'm so appreciate that they fit me in about 2 hours before close when their business had a revolving door of people coming in. The employees are very hard workers and they accommodated everyone that walked in. I was extremely impressed. I'm just going to assume the last time I was here and didn't have a great experience that we were all having a bad day. First, the good parts: nice salon, clean, nice decorations. Now, the bad: TOO HARSH OF SCRUBBING ON LEGS AND FEET!!! PLUS, manicure done in PLASTIC SANDWICH BAGS--lazy way of doing a manicure, missed polish on part of nail, top coat not done edge to edge. I have small amounts of skin missing on my heel and foot, and MY LEGS ARE TINGLY, PAINFUL--hope I don't have an infection. I have had pedicures for years, decades and HAVE NEVER had tingly painful legs afterwards. However, I only had to wait about 10 minutes (which it takes that long to pick colors anyway!). The staff members were all very polite and professional. Lisa gave me a great pedicure! I saw people going in so I went in 5 before they were supposed to be opened. The lady working on someone's nails asked me what I wanted and then said very rudely do you have an appointment? I said no, and she said well then you will wait. Again, very rudely said by her. So I left. If you're going to take people at 10, then say you take people at 10, not 11 or whatever time you actually open. If you prefer people to have an appt, then say so on your website or your storefront door-don't be rude when you have people walking in without appts. I went to this place to do my nails 3 times. 1- first time, I had an appointment but still I waited for 45 minutes to be helped, the owner (I think) gave me $10 gift card which I appreciated it. My nails were done in a good medium way. The lady who did my nails this day was so aggressive and when I asked her about something, she said:" I know what I'm doing". 2- second time: nice lady, good looking nails. 3- third time: the lady was barely answering me or even looking at me, nails look good. Tons of colors for the gel, fair pricing, clean and classy atmosphere. The polish lasted at least a month without chips (had it removed for my holiday colors). They were very careful about removing the gel (didn't ruin my nails). The nail tech (Charlie) paid the most attention to detail during a pedi that I've ever had. I love coming to Ann's!! I've been coming here for about 2 years and it's fantastic. While I can't come every month to get my nails done, I come as often as I can and they always treat me like I'm one of their regulars. I've never made an appointment and have always sat down within 15 minutes of getting ther I always get dip powder on my natural nails and they do fantastic even when my nails are all chewed up. Their color selection is second to none (it always takes me 20 minutes to just decide what color!). Their reward system is great. The only reason they didn't get 5 stars is because every pedicure I've ever gotten is very inconsistent...sometimes they spend 30-35 minutes with you and sometimes they spend 15 minutes. The employees are nice and professional. My spa pedicure was relaxing and my nails looked great! Pricing isn't bad either. I would have given five stars, but the one thing I was expecting was the foot rub part of the spa pedicure. They did massage my calves which was nice. My skin was soft and felt great after.
