By far THE best Indian grocery store in Missouri City. Great selection, delicious cooked dinners and very helpful, friendly staff.

On Feb 19th, I bought ground sirloin and salmon from HEB Sugar Land (it shows as store #627 on my…read morebank statement). Went to cook them today, and both were spoiled. This is the third time I've bought protein that was spoiled, from this location. The ground sirloin looked perfectly red on the outside but the inside was completely gray. The same thing happened with a package of ground chuck I previously purchased at this location. The salmon looked fine, wasn't slimy, and didn't smell while it was raw. But as it cooked, it smelled weird. I finished cooking it and (reluctantly) tried it, and it tasted just as weird as it smelled. I tossed both in the trash and called for a refund, which I can't get until I go back into the store

In fact, on travels abroad, I love to bring back local treats like packages of jelly, pesto, candy, coffees and tea that I buy at grocery stores. Vishala Grocery reminds me of grocery shopping on vacations overseas. So many amazing finds. Need ghee? Tandoori spices? Biryani seasoning? A huge bag of cardamom? They've got it and lots more! Their selection of fruits and vegetables look so fresh. Thirsty? Grab a fresh fruit juice in a glass bottle. I could have used this grocery store for stocking up for all of those virtual Yelp cooking classes a few years ago where we made chana masala, chapati, butter chicken and mango chutney. I miss those classes!! Parking is plentiful in the Aga's parking lot. The store is very clean and organized. They are open until 9 PM. Will definitely be back to shop for more treats.

Perfect location. It's easy access to Freeway 59 aka Highway 69 and Murphy Road. I usually shop at the Vishala Grocery in Gandhi District because it's near my house. Now, I see this one is actually faster to get to because of the freeway. Parking is no problem but some days when there's an event going on at Aga's, it would be a bit of challenging. I was here to buy something to add to my weekly shopping list. Employees are always friendly. I'll be back to get other stuff soon.

If you're looking for gluten-free, vegan, or other specialty products, the selection here is excellent. The store is located in a shopping center with plenty of parking, and the staff have always been friendly and helpful. A nice bonus is the Amazon return counter inside the store. You can bring eligible Amazon returns without packaging, and they handle the rest. One thing I wanted to mention for anyone trying to take advantage of the current Amazon Prime ice cream promotion (50% off pints through July 7): this location has had ongoing ice cream issues. I visited twice recently and found the freezers completely empty both times. On one visit, staff said they were waiting on a shipment; on the next visit, they explained that the freezer had broken and posted a sign stating that no ice cream pints were available for sale. So if you're specifically coming for the ice cream deal, I'd recommend calling ahead first or checking another Whole Foods location. Aside from that issue, it's still a great store and a very convenient Whole Foods for the Sugar Land area.

There just is nothing so overwhelming that the price per pound should be as high as it is. Salad bar items are 11.99 a pound. Olive bar, I would expect to be higher but not 11.99 as well. I completely understand and it's very well known that because of its organic food selections and quality that Whole Foods does selectively market to a higher economic demographic that is less price sensitive. However, I am in that upper demographic and I'm getting distracted by getting a salad and some olives and walking out of the store with a $35 bill. At this price, I can just eat at a restaurant, and a decent one at that.
