I came in earlier today to buy groceries and paid in cash and left without my receipt and the HEB gift card I purchased. When I realized I was without these two, I immediately retuned to the store. There were 1000 ppl in there and this one unpaid actor who was signing Christmas Carols at the absolute top of his lungs. In the midst of it all, they were patient with me as I couldn't remember what register I was checked out on and/or who rang me up!! But they took the time to help me out and we found the card! I love this place but man, it gets expensive! I usually come here for seafood, wic, and things on sale you can't pass up. Shopping here for wic is way easier than anywhere else. I do have a complaint, buying live Crawfish! Culturally I need the owners and seafood department to understand crawfish. They should not be sitting out on a dolly until they're purchased! They need to be cooled so they can " sleep " until they're cleaned and boiled. I bought 10 pounds of live crawfish yesterday and every 3rd of them tasted like death. When that happens it's because they were dead before being boiled. Literally, they're inedible. Now I know they can't keep every single one alive, but what they can do is store them properly to prevent customers from buying dead ones. When you buy a sack you should expect 1-2 pounds to be dead and you take those out but for me to buy 1/3 of a sack and still get 1-2 pounds of dead ones are ridiculous. That's $5-12 I wasted. This wasn't the first time either. One time I got 7 pounds and I literally had about 2 pounds of dead ones in a grocery bag I wanted to bring back to the store to show them why it's important to store them properly but who has time to do all of that when I literally just dealt with the whole process of boiling crawfish.. they can't tell how long the customer will take to boil them , usually hours after purchasing them. please for the crawfish sake put them in the cooler so they can stay alive.. for reference , Louisiana does crawfish Texas does bbq, imagine me putting a brisket in the oven and baking it like any other piece of meat and advertising is as if I smoked it.. culturally it's wrong! Or if I boiled ribs before bbq'n them and acting like it's not a problem.. to each its own but truly to leave the crawfish out in the open waiting for people to buy them is a crime. Especially when people who aren't crawfish folk aren't just going to look and be like " yea, let me get whatever that is " people usually think " I want crawfish " and look around to make sure they're there before going to buy them.. it's for certain people know you have crawfish already you don't need them brown and ugly on a dolly to be sold * drop * read more

I agree with the other reviews that this location is seriously lacking in comparison to the others. It's really old and kind of small compared to the others. The selection is not great, not only in comparison to other HEBs but with other stores in the area (minus Target down the road, it's not great either). They always have such nice looking and tasting treats for me to grab whenever my will power to resist caves cause I can't say no to my sweet children right? lol They did an awesome job in all my children's birthday cakes or cupcakes over the last year and were on time with it and easy to pick up and get out of there via self checkout. There's also been multiple occasions that the baggers would help me out to my car (without me asking) because I had my baby sleeping on me or I had to bring him in the stroller with my two other children in tow. read more

I really liked HEB but the community that depends on this location deserves better then this. I stopped here from the way home from the park and ride because I didn't feel like dealing with the Sienna one at that moment but I ended up having to go to the Sienna one anyways because their selection is just poor compared to other HEBS. This one is crying out for a remodel. They need to get rid of that tacky phone looking store and give this community what they deserve. Wider selection of food and more space to shop in. The produce section and alot of the store is very cramped which I can imagine being a pain during peak shopping times. If you need something really quick, yeah this location will do but your better off going to the newer one in Sugarland off Hwy 6 or Sienna. read more

This is a pretty standard HEB location which is way too busy for my liking, located right on Highway 6. We've come in here a couple of times. Also we found the service wasn't great and the options were similarly not too great, and we had some pretty bad experiences with some of the employees, as well as a general panic buying type of mentality that was going on here that didn't make things too great, much more so than the other HEB locations at the beginning of Corona. So we were not fans to say the least, but it's here and it might help if you need groceries in this area. And of course this location is frequented by HEBron James and HEBber Locklear. The only thing I bass this on is FLEA But Barbie's my princess, and I need to PEE Especially after an OJ or THREE From HEB for about five FIFTY The clientele here are BOURGEOISIE And they consume more pastries than the Houston PD And I hate the way the night managers act ANGRILY But we still always shop at the HEB! read more

Baggers ALWAYS put too much in the bags and make it too heavy, every single week I come here. It shows that the baggers don't take a simple course on how to pack a bag . If I could give it 0 stars I would. The curbside here is the worst of all H‑E‑B locations I have used. I opted for delivery at 9.99 to be delivered between 730-830pm At 930 I drove up to store since ap still said picking my order almost 2hrs after deliver schedule. They obviously do not know how to manage orders and overbook. The hours of operation for store said til 11pm but when I started calling store at 8pm no one answers. I'll file complaint with H‑E‑B corporate just because this is one of the worst customer experiences I have had. I had to get a supervisor to cancel my order because the curbside manager L-a was too busy to talk to me. Would not recommend this location at all- they obviously do not know what communication, customer experience, and not overbooking orders means if they can't handle orders conformed through H‑E‑B app. Horrible horrible customer service. read more

This pharmacy is the absolute worst. We've had multiple issues, but the cherry on top was yesterday. I have a 2 year old who got conjunctivitis. The prescription was sent to them at 3:30. I was on hold for half an hour just trying to see if they had it. I finally drove over at 5. At 5:18, the young girl at the counter told me to wait and it would be ready within 30 mins. I waited for 30 mins in the parking lot with my sick 2 year old. At 5:50, I returned to the window only to be told they were still working on it. They close at 6 on Saturdays. I mentioned this and my disappointment that I wasn't told and she shrugged and said it should be ready tomorrow. When I was almost home, one minute to 6, I got the call that the medicine was ready. My 2 year old suffered overnight because they couldn't pull it together. We won't be returning. read more

Really neat store. It reminds me of a Walmart with lots more interesting products and groceries. Employees were very nice and the place was big and very clean. What caught my eye were these "Calabeza squash". It looked like a hybrid of yellow squash and green squash. It's grown locally from Texas. Pretty awesome store. read more

The "Old HEB"! I like this location. I've been here countless times and never had any issues. Recently, they remodeled a few areas inside the store, well done. Everything still feels familiar, which is great. The staff is fairly nice and younger, but for the most part responsible and efficient. Overall, it's HEB. Their prices are good and the quality matches. If I had any gripes, it would be the parking. On some days, you'll be lucky to find anything. Definitely worth a visit. read more

I've been to better H-E-B stores. I thought the one near my house was the worst. This was my worse shopping experience; perhaps this is my last visit here. The cashier knew nothing about the produce. Not sure if it was her first day on cash register or her last day working at this store. Just about every 4th item, she had to look in her book for the code. When it came to jicama, she looked me for answer. I had to spell it out for her. Uh huh. It's not a turnip. My goodness gracious, I do miss HEB! Dallas needs one bad It was nice during my visit in town to be able to visit a Cafe on the Run and score a $5.99 orange plate special. There is also a smoothie/juice bar in the store. They make some good smoothies at this little bar. I'm so glad I brought an ice chest this trip. I'm still in love with this location. I am a total regular and I don't even like stopping in other locations because I know where everything is at this one. My weekly shopping usually has some things needed from here since I've gotten hooked on some HEB brand items (canned, fresh, whatever - it's all good). The service is always top notch. It was raining when I left out one day and they had people walking customers to their cars with umbrellas - WOW! I'm staying a fan. Especially since they keep those JJ Watt commercials going.....lol! I come to this HEB at least once a week. It has everything I need, it is clean, and the employees are extremely helpful. I've been coming to this HEB for the past 5 years and their vegetable and fruit selection never disappoint. They have a variety of greenery to offer, always fresh, and a plethora of fruits (about 6 different apples) to choose from. The meat selection is always plentiful. I have ever had any issues with the meats I've purchased. We usually get our chicken breast, turkey, and sausage here and I have no complaints. Though there is an extremely small selection of chicken sausage. There aren't as many samples around the store as there use to be, but the cooking station and sushi station never disappoint. This HEB is very well kept and they always open up enough cash registers so you never have to wait too long. In a world full of change, the consistency of this location makes me a happy camper. read more

I have been going to this H-E-B for over four years now and never had such a big problem until yesterday when my husband went to get groceries and paid $150 in cash and only got $3 and some change back when his bill was $127 The cashier and the lady bagging the groceries ( which if you're bagging groceries, I'm not sure how she saw what he paid with, but ok) were both arguing he had paid only $130 as he explained he did not, they made a big deal calling a manager who definitely lacked customer service, they said they would need to check the cameras they said they would need to count the money in the register and after a long wait for them to verify of course it they realize they did have $20 over and brought the $20 to him I don't understand what the big deal was if he's telling them how much he just paid the cashier. I don't know if this has anything to do with race or not but this was unnecessary and to top it off there was never an apology from the cashier or the manager. The only respectful person was the one that counted the money in the register, which was the man who returned the change to my husband. He was the only one with the decency to apologize. It is upsetting , this is unacceptable because to begin with if you make a mistake you apologize you definitely need to retrain your management on customer service skills and employees how to pay attention and count money as well as on ethics and respect. read more

Fruit that's on the verge or rotting, missing items, etc. Yesterday, I picked up a curbside order that was missing over a dozen items. I like HEB because of the great varieties and the low prices!! The HEB- branded items are, of course, cheaper, and who would not love like that?! It helps you stretch your food dollars, baby!! In most items, the quality stays pretty consistent; and in some items such as the "Creamy Creation Premium Ice Cream" and "Sugar Cane Sweetened Tea," the quality of the product even exceeds that of the "name" brand! I love love love the ice cream, and I seriously think it tastes even better than Dreyer's and Breyer's (nothing beats BlueBell though :P ) My favorite flavors include Banana Nuts, White Chocolate w/ Raspberry Truffles, Strawberry Cheesecake, and Homemade Vanilla, which is my most favorite among all 30+ flavors! Please try the homemade vanilla, and i'm sure you will fall in love with it! HEB has the best bakery and seafood. I always come here to load up for parties during crawfish season. This day I dropped in for mimosa ingredients. The shelves were fully stocked and the store is clean and well laid out. Great selection of wines, especially Texas wines. There's no shortage of friendly employees to help direct you if you're looking for something in particular. The cashier got me in and out in less than 5 minutes. HEB is a great community grocery store that I miss dearly ever since I moved to Tucson, AZ. read more

This Location for HEB clearly has management issues. When you see multiple employees on multiple occasions treat customers poorly you have to look at leadership. This store has always been staff by people that treat you like crap. Today was the last straw I just can't subject myself to the insanity of coming back time and time again expecting to be treated well. What happened today has happened numerous times before, worker will not pause or move as they restock shelves. You stand there waiting for 10 minutes like an idiot. They look at you repeatedly with disdain. Then at the seafood counter I got to watch the two workers have a friendly discussion for 12 minutes. Oh at minute 4 one looked over and told me someone would be with me shortly. Shortly must mean longer than 8 minutes. Yes I was the one that left my basket on top of the counter and walked out. Great grocery selections, a hot food counter for take out, fresh fruit, etc. The floral department is a small space and is geared towards this who are looking for something that is efficient and nice, at the same time. Maria does s great job of making your purchase look its best, before you leave the store. She did a wonderful job on a floral arrangement that I picked up. Overall, the store is clean and the staff seems nice. I'm glad to make it my new HEB. read more

The pharmacy manager is terrible, rude and expects his employees to be as rude as he is. Cashiers and sackers have fun talking to each other. I stopped shopping there. Even though I use Shipt most days, I still come here once in a while for things I've forgotten (new mom brain). Shoutout to the lady in the wine section. I'm a new wine drinker, and I was browsing the selection. She approached me and asked me if she could help me find anything, and she educated me on the types of wine I may enjoy without seeming pushy. She didn't push me toward the pricey selections, but instead suggested what she thought I'd genuinely like. Really great employees at this store. Never encountered one who wasn't anything less than awesome. The guys who bring in the grocery carts are also stellar. I have been a loyal customer of HEB Missouri City going on 20+ years. The current complaint is two fold. The fresh seafood department has a huge problem. On March 25 my husband and I purchased cod . $17+ dollars worth (1 pound). I tempura fried the same day . The fish had been soaked in bleach. I called the store manager same day . The manager apologized and informed me he would report to headquarters and took my name and number. He said someone from Corp would contact me. He said a $25 gift certificate would be waiting upon our next visit. I had not asked for a refund but manager wanted to make right. I advised him this cod came from Iceland . 2 Other incidents in the last 2 years. One for Shrimp and cod again. 3rd time shows a huge problem. Never have heard back and husband went by 2 days later . Have you heard the saying "There is light at the end of the tunnel"? Well people, Sienna Market is the light at the end of the tunnel that was the horrendous Lake Colony Location. A welcome change to the cookie cutter HEB scattered through out the Houston area, this place is a one stop shop of sorts. They have everything from a makeshift ice cream parlor, Cafe on the Run, a wide variety of housewares (pots, pans, cookware and small appliances) and even a spa. I get a kick out of grocery shopping, don't ask me why but it is my happiness during the week. Pros of Sienna Market: -Pizza Bar (the first I have seen in a HEB and at $5.99 for a freshly made pie. You can't go wrong!) -Huge selection of Cafe on the Run items (even bigger than the Buffalo Market one) -Fresh produce! -Wide selection at the meat section (us Texans love us some meat!) -Energy efficient store (the freezer cases have motion sensor lighting so lights are off if no one is near it--GO GREEN!) HEB has the right idea with these Market concept grocery stores, which are popping up all over the Houston area! Keep up the good work HEB! read more

This is one of the older HEB stores in the Sugar Land area, right at the intersection of Austin Parkway and Highway 6. It is located in an area of no real direct competition from rival grocery stores, aside from the Welfresh (Asian) Supermarket across the street, a Walmart / Target further down Highway 6 S into Missouri City. Well, one can argue Welfresh is a direct competition. But to me they really serve a different niche (Example, I wouldn't shop for Asian veggies/food items in an American grocery store, the same way I would still stick with American grocery stores for my fresh produce/dairy products, not necessarily because they aren't fresh in Asian markets, but it's not really their specialty, plus Welfresh is a bit out of the ways from our house). Any way, back to HEB, this store has been one of the groceries of choice for my father (and still is) because it is close to where he works out every day and he loves shopping for fresh produces every day. For a while it was the only one around, until the one at US59 and Grand Parkway and followed by the one on Highway 6 and University. The location is good, but I feel that it is now a smaller store and the selections aren't really great. The one benefit for me is that I can still utilize the Bank of America in the front, who I bank with and its gas station when I needed a fill up whenever I head that way to take my daughter to play class at the Gymboree further down the road. In terms of location, the one on University and Highway 6 is definitely more convenient and a much newer, nicer, and cleaner store. read more

This is my go-to store for fresh fruits and vegetables. They usually have the best deals on those. Walnuts here and other snack foods tend to be well priced too. They almost always have better prices than the two Kroger stores around. They just seem to have better quality for better prices, mostly, overall. Their customer service is very good as well. I once asked a manager about a certain product that they did not carry. She let me know that if there were certain items I would like that she would make sure the store began carrying them again. Beautiful attitude! The overall feel of the place is also above par. Although I wish HEB gave points towards gas prices like a certain competitor, I guess it all balances out because their quality and prices are great.
