We recently visited this store for the second time, and I have to say they have an impressive selection of groceries. The variety is excellent, and it's clear they have the potential to become one of the best South Asian grocery stores in the area.
Unfortunately, our experience with the meat section was very disappointing. The goat meat we purchased had a strong stale smell, and we had no choice but to throw it away. The overall meat section also appeared to need much better attention. Some of the meat looked less than fresh, and the chicken was sitting in excessive liquid, which did not inspire confidence in its quality. I also believe the staff handling, processing, and packaging the meat would benefit from additional food safety and hygiene training.
We also tried the canteen for the first time. While the food tasted fine, both the daal and the mixed vegetables were served cold, which was disappointing.
I'm sharing this review because I genuinely want this business to succeed. The store has tremendous potential. If management invests more in food safety, freshness, hygiene, and quality control--especially in the meat department--it could easily compete with stores like 99 Ranch Market and other well-managed supermarkets. Meeting higher U.S. retail and food safety standards would make this store a destination that many of us would happily choose for all of our grocery shopping.
I sincerely hope these issues are addressed because we'd love to keep supporting this business and return again. read more
