I had an odd project that Annie's was willing to take on. Two plush toys they needed some "seamstress surgery". Not only did they accept the challenge they did so in a very timely manner. Initially due to a misunderstanding the final result wasn't what I had wanted but after communicating my disappointment, they offered to fix it to my liking for free. I was very impressed with how professional and accommodating everyone there was despite it being a typical l busy season (June weddings) for their industry. They promptly fixed the issue and I was very happy with the results. There was no annoyance or dispute on their end, just easy communication and willingness to do whatever it took to make sure I was pleased with the final results. I just wanted to be real and honest about my experience with Annie wasn't the best I dropped of my dress of at her store in august it was sitting there for 3 months didn't touch it till a week before my wedding. My first red flag was when I had my first fitting she body shamed me that my boobs and ass we're flat, and get this she didn't put her fingers behind the zipper not get it caught on the dress section. 2 red flag I was originally going to be getting it a week and a couple days before the wedding. She hemmed the bottom of the dress, it was so sloppy my mom and my grandma had to come in and fix her work. What I had her do is take in the bottom of my dress and take in some of my train, and take in my waste and the two seems on my but didn't do it. Oh I forgot to say she got my dress done 2 days before my wedding. If your willing to spend more then 7 hundred dollars I wouldn't recommend her she's only in once a week.I get it that's she's on the older side but at least have another person do the wedding dress's Tuesday through Sunday. If you're wondering if you should have your wedding dress altered here, the answer is YES! Annie is AMAZING! She is kind and asks a million questions to make sure she gives you exactly what you want. We called my dress her last big project of the year and it was a BIG project. First of all, my dress was passed down from my mom so it meant alot to me and Annie knew that right away. It did not even come close to fitting at first, I was genuinely worried that she wouldn't be able to make it work, and that as a plus size person it wouldn't look good after all the altering. But she did make it work and she made it perfectly for me. This dress is huge and heavy and a workout to even move from one space to another, but she's a rockstar! I'm not one to make reviews, however, I feel compelled for this. I brought in a bridesmaid dress and asked for it to get tightened around the waist and shortened. When I was informed it was done she told me it would be $110.... Now I've had alterations before and it's never cost me more than $75. My dress didn't even cost that much, it was $90! When I told them it would have been nice to know that beforehand and if there was any way to get that price lowered the woman replied "we can't, but you can always ask for a quote beforehand next time".... I feel as though it was rude business etiquette and I won't be going back. There are places for a better price that offer the same quality. Would not recommend. read more

I came in to have a button replaced on my winter jacket. The ladies there took the time to dig through a large pile of buttons to find me a suitable match (I did not have a spare) and then sewed a new one on in what seemed like seconds. My husband and I were dead-set on getting married on 10/10/2020. So, when the day came and the pandemic was still going we invited our immediate family and wedding party to our very small and intimate pandemic wedding. My dress was not properly altered during the pandemic and turned out to be almost 2 inches longer on one side (found by Annie's Styles & Stitches). I had plans to come in and get refitted for our big wedding celebration on 10/9/2021 however, our family had a covid snafu and I was unable to see them in-person. I sent my dress in with my mother-in-law. They were hesitant to alter a dress they didn't see on me but, I pinned it from home to help guide where it needed to be altered and gave them my height... when it came to wedding day the dress fit PERFECTLY! Unlike our wedding in 2020 where I kept stepping on my dress during the entire walk. Without seeing me this company worked closely with me via phone, got the job done, and it was incredible. Annie literally saved our wedding! We purchased my dress right before Covid-19 shut down our state! We were so disappointed, this meant no wedding! Our family and friends encouraged us to follow through with our wedding and we could share a video with them. I met with Annie March 29, 2021 to discuss alterations for my wedding dress. At that time Annie took a $50 deposit and provided me with a receipt that outlined what we discussed (see attached). Annie assured me at that time that she could do what I asked and didn't need to see me again until August to get started so we set up an appointment for then. When we met again in August she said that I never gave her a deposit and that she would have never told me that she could accomplish what I asked for without installing a corset (see notes on receipt that specify no corset). I told her that I would send her a copy of the receipt (which clearly show that I gave her a deposit & NO corset) she provided me in March. I left the dress with her (8/16), and agreed to have a corset put into the back of the dress as she was now informing me that was the only option to alter my dress and the wedding was fast approaching. She also let me know that I would need to find material for the corset lace up and trim to go around the bottom of the dress. I wasn't exactly sure what materials she would be able to use so I went to Michael's, Hobby Lobby and Joann's and purchased several different kinds of velvet and satin ribbon and dropped them with her staff on 8/24 (which was within our agreed upon timeframe). I messaged her on 8/30 to check in on what I left and progress with the dress as I had not yet heard anything new. She wanted to set up another meeting which I agreed to on 9/7. At the meeting on 9/7 she accused me of taking "her copy" of the receipt which is why she lost all records of our original meeting, said that we were not on the same page, that I was trying to fit my size six body into a six two dress (I'm a size eight, have no problem with that and ordered an XXL dress). I was beyond upset at this point and prepared to just find a new dress with three weeks notice before my wedding and asked if I could just have my dress and deposit back. Annie said she would not return my deposit as she had already done "too much work" on the dress". I imagined that my dress was in pieces in the bag and left without even the stomach to look. A few hours later I opened that bag to find that nothing had been done to the dress (thank goodness) except that the zipper had been broken - by her... I set up appointments at several bridal boutiques in Sacramento at which time I came in contact with a seamstress who was able to fix my dress! It took three trips to Sacramento, $600, and some very stressful phone calls between the new seamstress, but in the end she was able to make my dream dress everything that I wanted. I am so grateful I was able to find a professional to make up for the terrible service and interaction I had with Annie. I was hesitant to post this, as I have previously had fantastic interactions with a few of the other seamstresses at Annie's shop, and I HATE to interfere with their business during these tough times but I simply can't let another bride experience what I did if I can help at all. If you are having non-bridal alterations done and are working with someone other than Annie you might be completely satisfied and I hope that will be the case. I was given Annie's number from a friend at work for my soon to be daughter in laws wedding dress to have alterations done. Not only does she do alterations at her shop but she also has a full service salon. Plus she rents prom dresses and shoes and just started renting men's tux's and accessories. Her wedding was back on September 24 out at Gover Ranch. She was very sweet and helpful. I really wanted to give this place a good review, but I can't. I took my wedding gown here to be altered and when I got it back it was not done right at all. I needed it to be hemmed and bustled and Annie assured me she had experience with this and could have it done well before the wedding. She did a very poor job, it was still too long when I went to pick it up, she said a bustle would be too much work and claimed that I didn't tell her it was something I wanted (although I mentioned it several times), and she doubled the price that she originally quoted me. I am very dissatisfied. The hair dresser I had was great, and its nice that you can rent dresses here, but DO NOT take your wedding gown or other dress to be altered, if you can find another option. read more
