We ordered a blueberry bar that was to die for as well as a twice baked chocolate and almond croissant. Both were so yummy! Cornerstone Bakery became our regular spot while vising Truckee so much so that we visited them all three days during our recent visit. In addition to their great pastry options, they also have many coffee and tea drinks available too. We also enjoyed their homemade focaccia bread with salt and it was so delicious! They have some seating inside as well as outside and the space feels very quaint. I highly recommend stopping in during your next visit to the area!

What I do regret is not preordering another pie for next week! Although this is a home bakery, and I don't believe it has a store front, I think there are some local places to get the pies and you can order ahead. The baker (I forgot his name, Chris?) was the one selling and he told me all about his passion behind making a delicious pie with simple ingredients, and less sugar to really highlight the fruits. That's all I ever ask for in a baked good. And he did it well! His tip that really made it shine was to cover it with foil and heat it in the oven at 375 for 5-8 minutes.
