As of 11/19/25, which is early season, you can buy a 4 lb bag for $10. While I was there, one farmer was sorting the oranges out by size. Apparently, the medium ones are the most popular. You could buy small ones for $1.50 per pound. Mandarins were attractive and juicy. Update: It's the sweetest and easiest to peel of the three different bags I bought on 11/19/25. Blue Goose Produce is associated with Westview Growers. If I remember correctly, there are 1500 mandarin orange trees in their orchards, so you can buy mandarins there until April! Farmers are friendly and informative to chat with. In October 2025, I believe I spoke with the owner Mark about the Blue Goose decor. One antiquities specialist soon found him a large metallic goose after he requested it. He painted it dark blue himself. This goose gets outfit changes to match the holiday! His family has been collecting blue goose decor over many years, which you can find throughout the store. I learned that a female goose can just be called a goose. A male goose is a gander, and Gander Taphouse is in the same plaza. Yesterday I learned that mandarin oranges taste better a day or longer after they have been picked. It takes time for them to sweeten. You can find a variety of local farm goods here, such as honey, scented candles, Earth & Vine products, local Newcastle Mandarin Ranch products, and Petaluma Creamery cheeses. You can buy pies here. I might call ahead to ask about available flavors. You can find limited produce here. I've bought a large tomato, finger grapes, and a ruby grapefruit here. There was a food truck, Laopino, that had delicious lumpias, music, a bubble machine, plus a few games and activities to keep the little ones occupied, and shaded tables to enjoy your fresh harvests. :) Tickets are only available online. Weekend tickets are released on Thursdays at 7 pm. When choosing our date and time it shows we only had an hour to pick but really we got to take our time and enjoy our morning. I feel they show you have a one hour slot to help stagger guests in. I love how they had a little gift shop set up, another tent with fresh flowers, drinks, and beautiful cookies at the register to purchase. The strawberry fields had plenty to choose from. We saw lots of bright red ones varying from all sizes. The staff also informed us there were 6 types of strawberries being grown! They offer 6 different varieties of strawberries, yup you read that right. I had no idea there were more than one variety, so this educational part was cool. The farm can get crowded and with this Sac heat, I highly recommend scheduling your reservation early and on a weekday. The farm is family owned and everyone is so nice. Would absolutely recommend this idea to families with your kiddos.

Beautiful Tuesday…read more The farmers market is always a relaxing walk up and down a few parking rows for me. We parked pretty far away amd were able to stop by the SPCA mobile. We saw a beautiful dog dog getting adopted! It is only small few rows, farmers with their own banners, tables, and table tents. I was really hoping there would be some heirloom tomatoes...but maybe it was too early. There was still wonderful produce, kettle corn and more! We did stop to buy some lemons. They were huge! The oranges are beautiful some of the vendors even cut some of their fruit in half to show off how delicious they looked! I was amused by the love lettuce gardens, roots and all that kept live goldfish underneath. I wish I would've asked more questions...like, does the fish come with it? I'll find out for sure next time!

There were also food trucks, rides for children, and even live music which added to the fun atmosphere. Be prepared for a lot of walking because the market is massive I didn't even make it through the entire place and found myself circling around. Even so, it was a great first experience, and my family and I had a really enjoyable time. It's a big area that you can stroll. Here & there you find tables & chairs to sit under covered areas, but they can be quite dirty & dingy. There were large Connect 4 games (& thank goodness I always carry around my trusty hand sanitizing wipes!) There were a couple of simple kiddie rides. It looked like a band was setting up on a stage to play live music. There are many different food options. We sipped some delicious & refreshing agua frescas from El Ciriancito. We got pepperoni pizza from Montiel's Woodfire Pizza (it was adequate, customer service was not). We also got some street tacos. To be sure, there's randomness, & lots of it. It's mid afternoon, Saturday, June 07, 2025, and I'm enjoying the Rocklin Brewfest 2025 and I'm in the mood for a delicious hot dog. I've come to the right place, as Doggiestyle Hot Dogs was on site, and serving hot dogs for all to enjoy. This is a pop-up restaurant that servers hot dogs at events all over western Placer County. I went with a "Quarter Pound Nathan Dog," How can you beat that for a great hot dog? The dog began with a quarter pound Nathan's Hot Dog, which was grilled to perfection by hot dog chef John, on site, at the Rocklin Brewfest. The dog was simply perfect, and fitted perfectly with the large, fresh bun, which was a start for an amazing lunch. On to the condiments! The trip to the nearby condiment bar was worthwhile, as I added a cornucopia of condiments, including mustard, mayonnaise, dill pickle relish, chopped white onion, sauerkraut and especially peperoncini, which is a rare treat for hot dogs. I suppose you could call my hot dog loaded? No ketchup whatsoever, as I never desecrate a hot dog by adding ketchup. Not to mention... may I say my dog was loaded with delicious condiments? One bite into the dog I was rewarded with a refreshing "snap," thanks to the natural casing on Nathan's Hot Dog, which made the hot dog both worthwhile and simply delicious. The condiments I added simply enhanced the dog, and didn't take anything away from the amazing hot dog, and the fresh bun. Such a delicious hot dog! Chef John knows how to grill a hot dog, and the Nathan's Hot Dog he grills are as good as it gets. I tip my cowboy hat to chef John, and his delicious hot dogs!
