Great portions, prices, and service at this local spot for those traveling through to get to the Smoky Mountains. Hubby's Chicken Philly was made well with extra crispy tots. The kids meal comes with a side so my daughters enjoyed their grilled cheese. The sausage was cooked perfectly with no chewy/hard pieces. The pecan pancakes were huge, I could only finish 1 of 3. It is staffed by the most amazing people who cook very well given the [uncleanliness] other reviewers noted. Never had a poor bowel movement nor any other sort of issues. It is run and managed splendidly, the food is top notch and the staff are, simply put, the nicest people. I love this place and thoroughly enjoy stopping in every time for a bite to eat whether it be by myself or with the family. Fast service and good breakfast. Unfortunately our server (who was lovely) was yelled at by other servers and management a few times which really turned us off. The sausage and bacon were delicious but the pancakes were just okay. The restaurant was small but tidy... except for the cookie jar shelf which was covered in dust (kinda gross). We aren't locals, but have a Cabin in Otto. Our entire family 25+ often visits "The Cabin" and Annette's Cafe has been a great find! We love all of the options there and try, to try something new every time. Kaylan is always very sweet! The food and prices are great, therefore we always come back! Today I tried the Blackberry cobbler, and within our first two bites my boyfriend said "I can tell this is homemade" Annette has a fine touch for cooking! read more

I hate to give one star but the inside was filthy! We went to sit outside and it was a mess, grease boxes everywhere, dirty tables. We moved inside, sat down and the wall along the booth was covered in dirt and grime. Looks like it has never been wiped down. We left without ordering anything. Maybe the food is tasty but we were all pretty freaked out with the general grime and filth. Can only imagine how dirty the kitchen is. Total bummer! Wanted to try it based on the other reviews. Just can't sit and eat when you're looking at a dirty wall. Even the kids were grossed out. Please, clean your restaurant. There's no excuse for those conditions other than a total lack of caring. Close down for a couple days and clean it top to bottom. Take pride in your establishment. We'd be more than happy to actually eat there. read more

On our second time camping in Dillard, we tried another spot last time, it was good but wanted to give somewhere else a try. After reading the Yelp reviews, decided to give Annnette's a try and we were not disappointed. I've always enjoyed a hamburger steak / chopped sirloin and eggs and when my wife pointed it out on the menu, had to give it a try. Eggs were cooked perfectly, the taters, were great, my wife's corned beef hash was the best she's had in a long time. Nice friendly diner with lots of homey options. Prices are great, especially for the blue plate special. The fried squash and green beans were exceptional. What a hidden treasure! No big flashy billboard or sign so you have to keep your eyes open. Love finding restaurants like this one on Yelp. Portions are perfect, you won't leave hungry nor will you leave with leftovers. This has to be the best breakfast in town! Biscuits hot and fresh (almost as good as my momma's ), eggs prepared to perfection, grits were simple but delicious and the bacon and ham tasted like it came from a local farm. Wonderful little place. Hometown cooking. Our waitress, Kaylin was very accommodating. The food was cooked to perfection. Great omelettes! This is where the locals come to eat. Prices were surprisingly low, considering the area. The house blend coffee was very tasty. Kennith was a very nice host. I would come back the next time I am in Dillard, Georgia. In search of a late breakfast for my wife and me this morning, I spotted Annette's "breakfast & brunch" description and 5-star Yelp rating and decided to give it a try. The atmosphere is "folksy, down-home diner." Both of us ordered omelets, and were highly satisfied with what we got. The ingredients tasted fresh and flavorful, especially the locally-made sausage (which we agreed was the best-tasting sausage we'd eaten in many a year; the brand is available in local grocery stores). The biscuits were of the extra-large variety (probably to accommodate the breakfast sandwiches on their menu). In my experience, biscuits that size tend to have doughy centers, which Annette's managed to avoid. Their flavor, while a little bland, was still about average (so not bad, but not the highlight of the meal). The grits were done just the way we like them--neither runny nor over-cooked and dry. I'd definitely recommend Annette's for an above-average breakfast at a reasonable price. Be aware that they have a full lunch menu, so you're not restricted to a standard brunch selection. read more

Missed them for lunch on our first day in town but made up for it wn home cooking eatery with no pretentiousnesswith breakfast AND lunch on day two of our three day stay. This place is an old-school do. I scouted it online Pre-Trip as I was looking for a place,or places,that were carrying on the traditional culinary art that Rabun County had long been famed for ( i.e. the 100yr old Dillard House, and cooks like Bertha Ramey,and Louise Coldren). Annette's comes REAL close at bargain prices. I suspect the menu is pretty much farm-to-table without bragging on it. Hand pattied sausage at breakfast, hand cut fries and (suspected) homemade stewed tomatoes at lunch all point to a personal touch. Not surprisingly the place seems mostly favored by locals. Surprisingly the prices shown in the pictured website menu noted "posted 5+years ago" are the SAME prices we paid for our meals! Service is attentive and friendly . While there's nothing about Annette's that made me say "Wow" there was nothing that disappointed in the least. Personal standout for me was the Country Fried Steak. especially the Sawmill gravy. This is a hidden gem! My friend who lives in the neighborhood didn't even know it existed. I found it using Yelp. You can't see it very well from the street either. It's located next to an antique store. You have to get out of your car and walk up to the door to see the sign. It's a diner from yesteryear in terms of ambience. The food is Traditional American and so delicious! It reminds you of your family's southern cooking. I had an omelette with vegetables and cheddar cheese--I was impressed with the number of cheeses they offer--some of the best hashbrowns I've ever had and a delicious huge, buttermilk biscuit! The service is down home, no frills and attentive. My friend and I are so thankful to have discovered this great place for breakfast. We will be back! read more

We did take out during the lockdown and it was a ton of food, I had catfish and it was really well done. we actually had a meal for 2 days as it was too much to finish, the pie was killer too.
