I decided to come here for the first time for a consult of IUD replacement options, and was comfortable enough during the consult to go ahead with a full general exam/pap smear, and Dr.King even offered comprehensive bloodwork to be done as I had some concerns. He was extremely professional, compassionate, listened to every concern I had and addressed every thing I was worried about. He mentioned things I hadn't even heard of other clinics doing like performing an ultrasound during the IUD insertion so they can see it being inserted properly, as well as anesthetic options. Dr. King gave me a few options to choose from for replacement/pain management and I'm so grateful to have gone to him. He made sure that I asked every question I can think of, and I really felt heard. Women's health care should be a much bigger priority when we are discussing pain management, long-term care, and making sure that patients feel comfortable enough to go back to maintain health. I felt like this office and Dr.King really care for their patients, and the Office Manager also came to check in with me to make sure if there was anything else they can do to make my visit more pleasant, and also gave me detailed information about costs that I had requested. I made an appointment for my IUD replacement, and I have already recommended this place to a couple others. I saw that the other negative reviews were mostly about not being vaccinated/boostered for COVID. I am also usually able to get a spot within a reasonable period of time (not 6-8 weeks out like so many Chicago doctors). However, the real reason for the 5th star is Dr. Reyes. Dr. Reyes has the best bedside manner of any doctor I've ever seen. She actually takes the time to listen to your symptoms, concerns, and history. Dr. Reyes also seems to genuinely care about my health and well-being as much as I do, acting sympathetic toward even seemingly minor complaints. Miraculously, she is able to give this much attention to her patients and STILL her office runs on time. I don't know how she does it--I've never waited more than 5 minutes for an appointment. I first saw Dr. Reyes in January 2014 when she was with the Advocate group. I was disappointed when I called later for another appointment and they told me she was no longer there. The staff had no information on where she was practicing or how to contact. I was forced to try other PCPs, and it was only when I needed a check-up in 2017 that I finally found Dr. Reyes again. Dr Engelkemeir's (EN-gull-keh-MY-er), is by far THE BEST doctor I have ever seen. Like I said, I've been to a lot of docs, incl neurologists, of course ob's, otolaryngologists, and more, and no one has been as attentive as Dr E, as the staff calls her. She truly listens to what I have to say and actually lets me finish my sentence before responding. In fact, she was on her way out the door at the end of one of my appts, and I said "OH! One more thing?" and she said "Oh sure, sure!" and shut the door, put her clipboard down and took a seat. Wouldn't you agree that most docs would hang in the door way with it wide open and wait for you to quickly ask your question? Not Dr E. She stuck around for another 10 mins! PERSONALLY CALLS PATIENTS BACK!!!: On one of my appts with Dr E, I forgot to ask her for refills on a Rx that I originally obtained from my previous PCP. So, a couple days later I called the office and left a message with the phone person stating that I needed an Rx from Dr E, but it wasn't a refill with her. About an hour later, Dr E CALLED ME HERSELF!!! Not the receptionist. Not the nurse. The doctor! I have NEVER heard that happen before! SMILES: Doctors don't smile enough. They don't feel welcoming or comforting. Dr E is always smiling - and not in the phony or belittling way - in a sincere way. I really think she's happy helping her patients and is actually concerned about the welfare of her patients. My old doc used to lecture me with a frown... =\ I'm pretty sure that I'll be sticking with Dr E permanently. I had read a past review on Yelp that this office had refused a Pap smear to another patient, but assumed it was maybe a fluke. I was wrong. I too (because I'm now 30) was refused a pap. I thought this was odd because I was complaining about pain in this area. She still advised against it. So I decided to just get my oral contraceptive prescription refilled as I've been doing for the last 5+ years. She advised that although it's my decision, she made me aware of the risks (which I've known for many years). I called a few days later to check on the prescription and was told that she would not be authorizing my refill. She instead suggested the patch or the shot, which I've tried and disliked in the past. This means my insurance company likely spent hundreds of dollars on this doctor and I spent my time and I yielded absolutely nothing. I was not examined properly as requested and scheduled and I'm unable to refill my prescription. A huge waste of time and money. Apparently I'm too old for a pap, but too young (or incompetent) to make wise decisions about my body and to continue use of a medication I have years of experience with.

My wife and I went through this practice in 2020 and were very happy with our experience, Dr Tur Kaspa was fantastic and the staff was so wonderful and attentive. Sadly, he has retired, but we still wanted to try again to have a second child. I would be the one to conceive this time around. I had a consultation with Dr Murphy, and that was officially the last time I ever heard from her. My entire cycle was managed by staff, which would be fine if there was some consistency in the communication, but there was not. Right from the beginning, I felt Dr Murphy spoke in a way that conveyed most likely IUI wouldn't work on the first try, and she said several things about future cycles before the first cycle had even occurred. I felt from day one with her that she just didn't exude confidence in the process. The vibe with her was truly off. I live in another state, so some of my monitoring was done in another Pinnacle practice. It turned out, that practice measured follicles completely differently than Chicago, making my ultrasound results totally inconsistent. The most frustrating part was after 2 weeks of letrozole and monitoring, it was finally down to the wire when IUI would be occurring, and my patient navigator, who had been working with me since May, was going to be out of office for nearly 2 weeks. I wasn't told this until she was already gone. Then, the person who was covering for her was completely unresponsive. The last time my follicles were checked, my measurements were taken at 9am. I sent the labs and ultrasound over through the portal, and I confirmed with them that they had been received. At 3pm, I had still not heard from anyone at Pinnacle on next steps, but I had been told multiple times I should plan to trigger at night and the IUI would take place 2 days later. They knew I would have to travel from Michigan to Chicago for the IUI, so I was looking for some notice to plan when I would need to leave. At 3:30, I had to literally stalk someone at the practice, beg for a call, and finally was met with an excuse that Dr Murphy hadn't received my labs, even though hours prior I had sent them through the portal and again, confirmed they were received with a phone agent. They said they'd let me know by EOD what to do. Then I got an email about an hour later around 5pm, saying my IUI was going to be the next day at noon! I had't triggered yet, no one called me, and I had to travel from another state. I have a small child, a job, a life! I had to do my trigger shot immediately, pack, and rush out the door at 6:30pm, drive over 5 hours to Chicago, get a hotel, and call off work the next afternoon. Then, when I arrived for the IUI, I found out for the very first time Dr Murphy doesn't even do the procedure! It was an NP, which, fine, but I've literally spent a longer time in line at the McDonald's drive-thru than I did during the time for the IUI. It was in and out, no after-care advice, no communication. I didn't hear a peep from the practice for 2 weeks. They scheduled my labs again via email. No call, no asking if that time worked for me. Then I get a text that my navigator is changing yet again. So this is 3 different navigators in one cycle. I just got the call that my HCG was negative, shocker. They dropped the ball in so many ways, I am certain that they missed the window and panicked, scheduling my IUI and rushing me out. This place has simply become another corporate nightmare, buying up fertility practices all over the country but failing to instate quality control. Save your money. They don't have the time or ability. For a medical service that was entirely out of pocket, I could have lit $3000 on fire and achieved the same outcome. The best part of this practice has clearly left the building.
