Dr. Patels primary focus is his bank account. absolute joke of a DR. Make sure you triple check your bills and appointments as they will try and double bill or over bill you for things. my daughters procedure was suppose to be a frenectomy and filling in ONE APPOINTMENT. Like the selfish money hungry people they are, they scheduled 2 appointments one for the filing and one for the frenectomy. so I was given 2 estimated bills about 200$ a piece, Both bills also had charges for nitrous oxide. I was concerned about my child having nitrous used on her twice and asked why the filling and frenectomy were not being done together in 1 appointment . I was first told it wasn't possible. after I kept questioning the women on the phone she went to talk with Patel and came back saying they would "allow me" to merge the two appointments. (so kind of them to allow me to keep the money(about 200$) they tried to screw me out off, by making 2 appointments with nitrous instead of one.) on sept. 14th my daughter had her procedure . . .which was a horrific nightmare. I was charged 100$ for nitrous and while they put the mask on her face they never talked her through taking calming breathes. she was upset and crying and saying she could still feel where they had " already numbed" . . .both patel and the hygienist kept telling my daughter " No Reason To Cry" & they would show her the tools first, or explain first before they did anything, just so she would calm down or mover her hands from blocking her face. . but they never did explain or show her creating alot of fear an disturst for my 8 yr old. in the end they had another hygienist come in at the last second to abruptly hold my daughters arms down, at this point she was screaming in fear and pain as patel began to slide a laser tool back and forth on her frenulum. I probably have had maybe two sentences of conversation with the dentist over these years as he acts like it is painful to talk to you and he spends less than 5 minutes with the patients. The hygenists are friendly and they will admit that Dr. Sicher prefers for the staff to speak with and explain things to patients. The real pain comes with procedures that he rushes through without adequate analgesia and then again when you get the bill. They charge more for procedures than I have seen any dentist charge and you get maybe 1/3 of this back from insurance if you're lucky. They will not hesitate to cancel or reschedule you the day of an appointment and the office staff is not friendly, accommodating, or apologetic when they jerk you around with scheduling even after your child has taken off school for the visit. If you are looking for a personable practice, keep looking as we are doing now.

And I was told I need it referral referral- Dr. Desai was kind enough to tell me that she promised that that an Advil and an ibuprofen, is all she recommended to me and she let me pay and suffer for days. Her recommendation absolutely did not work in fact I probably what is needed my stomach pumped For taking so many. My pain was incomplete agony. But once I got to get my tooth extracted someplace else the dentist was very professional and subscribed a small number of pain pills to get me through the oncoming days. I returned to this dentist, with absolutely no pain and I expressed to her that I was very disappointed with my last visit and hell she left me to walk out of her office, in unforgettable agonizing pain and surely she remembered me and said that she remembered seeing my review???? Funny how I am this woman's first review. So I'm sitting there in my appointment listening to her Indian music, and her endearing personality how she looked down at me and said that her idea of ibuprofen and Advil together are quite remarkable! I explained to her that I had a right to not be in pain as any person with an extraction or a root canal has ever experienced it's something that's pretty traumatizing, and extremely painful. I was informed that my insurance would NOT cover this claim. It turns out my insurance DID cover it and the balance was $33. This was in December. I was in and out of the hospital, my finances were being transferred from CT, and I received statements from the dr's office about this $33. The last statement I received was on March 31st stating that if I did not make a payment that they would "pursue further legal action." March 31st... this was a Tuesday. I was served today with a Civil Hearing for this bill stating that I had to pay $183.50!!!! This office NEVER called me to get a payment, they only sent statments. The last statement sent was LESS than a month before they filed charges. According to the District, I was told that it takes at LEAST a week for them to process the charges. Which means they were NEVER going to give me the change to pay this balance. I called the office today and told them that I would GLADLY come in and pay the $33 charge - and I was informed that I have to pay $269 because of the court fees. DO NOT EVER GO TO THIS DENTIST!!!! They are all about money and care NOTHING about their patient.

I've been a  patient of Wes for 30 years. Yes, 30. But I've recently fired him because he lacks the…read morejudgement it requires to provide quality care in my opinion. Basically, he has referred me twice to substandard and expensive providers that reflect poorly on Wes. First, there was Susan Korch for my wife's braces. She's overpriced, runs a factory with FIVE chairs she literally runs in-between, and didn't even know my wife's name after one year as a patient. She sticks trays in, asks if they fit, and moves on to the next patient. When I TRIED to ask her a very quick treatment question, she said there was no time for that, and that I'd have to set up a separate consultation. She also refused to give us our treatment plan, claiming "it's proprietary". What the hell does that mean? It's my WIFE'S treatment plan. You also take a # like at the deli when you check in, and get called to the back by #, not name. Is she running a bakery or an orthodontic practice? Why Wes would send my wife to a person like this when Rick Cramer is less than one mile away baffles me. He's a great orthodontist who runs TWO chairs and handles all the care himself. Wes also sent me to the most expensive oral surgeon (Conestoga Oral Maxillary Surgeons, Hummelstown), not just here, but ANYWHERE. He's $1000 more for a dental implant than they charge in New York City. I called the capital city of every state on the east coast and NOBODY came within $700 of their pricing. I found this out AFTER Dr. Greg Bell at Conestoga did my extraction and bone graft, which was ALSO more expensive than any other oral surgeon on the east coast by at least $300. And when I fired him and went to a different oral surgeon for the implant, he took a look at my x-ray and said the bone graft that Greg did was "sloppy" and may not turn into bone that he can use for an implant. And for THAT I paid $760 when I could have had it done for $400? When I queried Wes why he did this to a valued patient, and did he know they were the worst providers I'd ever been to, he didn't even take the time to respond to my email. After 30 years, I think I'm owed an explanation. Apparently Wes doesn't think so. Further, the crown I'll need after the implant? $2300 at Wes's office, $1300-$1600 at three other dentists I called. Guess where I'm going? You have a lot of choices of dentists in this area. I suggest you price shop and go with somebody you trust. I no longer trust Wes Davis, and will be going elsewhere for my oral care needs.
