From the moment I stepped in the door that place look dirty and unwelcoming. The area behind the front desk looked trashy and chaotic, there were boxes, papers and personal items everywhere, staff not very friendly and courteous. The floor in the exam room was very dirty; there was literally dirty on the floor and the lead shield for they used for the x-rays was either super old or very dirty. The dentist was very nice and kind but seemed tired and in the hurry. Apparently, she works in multiple offices and has many patients. She did a 2-minute examination, asked me if I wanted to save the tooth and then walked me to the front to talk with 1 of the staff members about the cost which seems very high. Apparently after the $2,500 from Medicare, I still own $ 373 for the root canal + plus the cost of the crown which is well over $1000. Furthermore, I was told that since Medicare only pay 60% for the consultation, I needed to pay $104. I don't understand why they needed to do another x-ray, why not request the transfer of the x-ray I just had 1 done 3-4 weeks ago. The root canal that that I I need is not in a molar which is a more complicated procedure, yet I was told that I need more than a visit to get it done. I had a root canal done in the past and it wasn't nearly the cost of what they're asking. In conclusion, I feel that if they're going to ask such high price for their service, the least they can do is to offer a clean, welcoming environment and a friendly and understanding staff. Never going back, 1 time was 1 too many. Rosy F.

This review comes with mixed feelings. I truly like Dr. Greenberg, especially since he hails from…read moreNYC prior to Harrisburg and I expect his standards to be high. The pros: 1. I believe that Dr. Greenberg is a good periodontist. 2. The office can schedule visits pretty quickly and the times I went, had little to no wait time. In fact, I may have been the only one there most times. 3. The office is maintained very nicely. Dr. Greenberg may be the only dentist, at least in this Camp Hill office. He has monitors and videos that go over the different treatments. He also has cool giveaways branded with his name like dental floss, gauze and the like. The cons: 1. I thought he was expensive and this factor, among others discussed in point 2, spurred me to get second opinions. When I got the second opinion, I was told that most of what he recommended was not necessary. Periodontal work is done in mouth quadrants so basically, I only needed periodontal work done on one quadrant instead of all four (at $895/quadrant). Since I needed to squeeze this procedure into last calendar/benefits year, I went with Dr. Greenberg. 2. His office manager was really the make or break for me. I thought that she, over the course of my visits, procedure and follow up, was rude and overbearing. It got to the point where I left their office in silent anger because I had to bite my tongue. Uncomfortable. I told Dr. Greenberg about my experiences and while he acknowledged there was a problem, I never got a direct apology. Only after time passed and it was clear that I was never coming back, did I get phone calls and a card from the office manager but primarily to get back my business. 3. The periodontal assistant was not as abrasive but clearly lacking in the manners department. She yawned, open mouthed and unapologetic, in my face three times while counseling me on my after-care. I hate giving negative reviews but I guess I got a little ticked off when I found out that Dr. Greenberg mis-diagnosed my dental issue which was solved by root canal (my first one ever) and not periodontics. I had even gone in an extra visit because I was concerned that the area was infected and was told that this was a common result after periodontal surgery. I could have saved some money and a lot of pain had I gone somewhere else. I had the best dentist (Dr. Joseph Levy) while I was in the NYC area who I trusted completely and went to for 10 years. Since moving here, I have 'interviewed' several dentists. Costs, locations and dental plan coverage vary across the board. However, the one thing that came through loud and clear is that dentistry is a business and the patient is the consumer. I wish more dental offices knew that.

(I accompanied my fiancé to his "free" consultation that cost almost three hundred dollars at which…read morewe learned nothing except that he had to come back for an exam!) Dr. Greenberg was very nice on the pre-appointment call - we were impressed and hopeful going in. Apparently he took one look at us though and decided we were not worth his time. He would ask a question and not let my fiancé answer, cut him off mid-sentence, or simply wave his hand at him like he wasn't sure why he had even bothered to ask the question. We found him rude, not just to us but to his own staff, and disdainful of his predecessors. He may be able to work wonders, but we were not sticking around to find out.
