My problems were with the office administration. For starters, they changed the insurance coverage they accepted twice in the 4 years I was a patient, so I had to change my coverage as well - that's twice in four years, so I wasn't staying with any insurer long enough to qualify for the full benefits. And I would only find out about these changes when I showed up for my appointment just to be told, "Oh, we don't take that insurance anymore." There were no treatment or billing coordinators, so if I wanted to discuss a treatment plan, it had to be with one of the dentists - and I had to wait 6 months for a consultation appointment. And if I had follow-up questions, I had to take them to the receptionists who were not qualified to answer those questions. So even though I like all the people in the office, I am now shopping around for a new dentist.

We were seen quickly. I wasn't uncomfortable getting the bite wing xray, which is impressive in itself! The other xray machine (I believe it's a tomographical cone machine?) was a 360 experience, amusingly complete with classical music and a tiktok robot voice. I recently had to switch from my current local dentist because our insurance no longer supported them in our network. I initially had some concerns because I was happy with my previous care, you know how it is. But by the time I left it was obvious I would be in good hands. Everybody was very polite and interested in answering all of my questions. I'm relieved to be continuing my dental healing journey here at a business that clearly cares for its patients. I wanted to re-verify that information and the technician took me back to talk to the women at the front desk. They, again, verified that I definitely would not be charged. But, later, after the x-ray and the cleaning, A RECEIPT WAS SHOVED UNDER MY NOSE AND I WAS BILLED A FEE (I have insurance). So, it was simply lies atop another lie from the time that I walked in the door. Their office manager was rude when I later called to discuss the bill. She obviously had a problem admitting the LIE. I might have casually accepted the "fee" but I cannot accept LIES. I WILL NOT RETURN HERE AND I CAUTION YOU TO FIND A DIFFERENT PROVIDER.

My kids had gone to a dentist who told me that my son had 6 cavities and they were "so bad" that he needed to be put to sleep to fill. Now this was stunning to me because even though my kids are kids, we instill proper dental hygiene with them with twice daily brushing, flossing, and mouthwash. HOW could a little kid have teeth this bad?? My first cavity didn't come until I was well into my 20s. This was cause for concern. We decided to not go back to that dentist and start fresh. We came here and didn't say a word about our past experience. We figured if two dentists told us the same thing then I guess we just had been doing something wrong on our end. So here we were. The office was very clean and bright and the staff was friendly. They have an ipad system for registration and an old school video game for the kids to enjoy while we waited. Another good thing about this place is that they have evening hours which is good for working people and also good when trying to take 2 kids at once because we don't have to pull the kids out of school and both parents can come too! So they called us back and I went with my son and my husband went with my daughter. The hygienist for us was very nice and very good at explaining things to us and putting my mind at ease (since I was little apprehensive after our first child dental experience) and she was very good with the kids. They got some xrays and a cleaning and after the cleaning Dr. Ditty came back to do his thing and tell us what's what. He's a very down to earth guy who is obviously a family man which I like and respect. He's easy to talk to as well and was good about answering any questions. Turns out the kids had one cavity each. ONE! Not ideal I know, but better than 6. And they said "Good thing we caught it early so we can take care of it before it gets bad" BIG difference from having to be put to SLEEP. So weeks later we returned for our cavity fills. No novocaine was needed and it was quick and painless. The staff was still friendly and nice and really eased my anxiety leading up to these cavity fills. Dr. Ditty is wonderful! Phew!!! We have found our dentist!

In mid November, my husband started to experience severe tooth pain. They were able to get him in…read moresame day to take a look and letting him know he needed a root canal. The dentist said she could refer him out to a specialist but would love to do it in office, so my husband just made the appointment with the dentist. When he went in, she started the procedure and had to stop due to the dentist perforating a root during the procedure. She then referred him out to a specialist for us to find out the error could NOT get fix and the tooth would need extracted. Once I informed the office the tooth needed extracted, they said a referral would be sent to an oral surgeon. I waited for the oral surgeon to call and never received one so once I called they informed me they never got the referral. The oral surgeon was also booking 1.5 months out for extraction and implant consultation appointment. I then called the office again to see if anyone could speak with the oral surgeon about getting in sooner than 1.5 months and they seemed reluctant to help but said they would try. A few days later I followed up with the oral surgeon to find out they never heard from the dentist and still never received now the second referral. There was a cancellation with the oral surgeon so we were able to get in for a consult sooner than anticipated. After the consult appointment, I reached back out to Center Street Family Dentistry to see if they would be willing to help cover any of the cost for the extraction and implant procedure. I was told "probably not" but they would get back to me. After another week, never heard anything so I called and was told that because of the consent form that my husband signed before the root canal procedure there was nothing they could do. No, there was nothing they WANTED to do. This office needs to work on customer support, anytime I was told they would call me back, they never did and I had to call them. 5 STARS for creating more work for us and wiping your hands clean of a problem you made worse. 1 star for the HUGE inconvenience this made on our lives both emotionally and financially and being absolutely ZERO help.

They did a…read morecleaning and checkup, and I did see a dentist, but it wasn't Casey Williams - apparently he was on vacation and another dentist was filling in for him. Everything went well, so I made an appointment for my next 6-month cleaning/checkup. I did see Williams on the next appointment, and he told me I needed 3 crowns replaced and more than half a dozen fillings. Strange, since the previous dentist sent me off will a clean bill of health, and I have always had regular dental care. I made a follow-up appointment to discuss the proposed work in a little more detail, but Williams canceled that appointment at the last minute, so I took a copy of the evaluation Williams did to yet another dentist, who told me I did need to replace one crown, but said he couldn't confirm any of the other issues in Williams' evaluation. So I saw 4 separate dentists that year - my previous dentist, the dentist filling in for Williams while he was on vacation, Williams himself and the new dentist. And 3 of the 4 dentists did not believe I needed anywhere near the amount of Williams had proposed. And here's the cherry on the top: one of the fillings Williams had proposed was for a tooth I don't even have - I lost it many years ago.

I was told it would last about an hour. This made me late for an interview that was to come after it. My second poor experience happened on March 29. I had called when scheduling my appointment that I needed to be done by 4:10 PM, to make it for an appointment after. After being taken back 15 minutes late then my appointment time, that I arrived 10 minutes early to I finally finished at 4:50 PM. My barber appointment was scheduled for 4:30 pm, so I missed that. Sauve does good dental work, but is way too overbooked. He is constantly switches to different patients which leaves many patients waiting. Ontop of this, I had a 125$ bill, in which I tried to use my health savings card on, but the front desk lady insisted that that would not work . I plan on switching dentist offices and hope to get this copay resolved. If you're a citizen that has a schedule and has things to do, I would not recommend going here. - Jared Pechart
