I have been very happy with all of the services that Sipes Dental has provided for me. I went to Sipes Dental for a consultation for dental implants in my upper jaw. Dr. Sipes and his staff took their time explaining all my options thoroughly and gave me an option that I did not know was available to me. I had a previous consultation with another dental group that was misleading in my options and was much more expensive than what Dr. Sipes was offering me. I had previously been reluctant to go to the dentist due to fear of pain, but Dr. Sipes explained why his methods would not cause me outright pain and just a little discomfort. I decided to have a full implant to replace all the teeth in my upper jaw instead of having dentures or a combination of bridges and implants and teeth removals. Dr. Sipes is very knowledgeable and has a very nice manner about him. He didn't speak 'over' me; he made sure that I understood every aspect of the services he was offering. Dr. Sipes was right about the pain...I only had a little discomfort from the shots and the rest of the procedure was pain-free! Recovery from my procedure was quick and pain-free as well. I have been so pleased with the full implant in my upper jaw. It seems as if it is my own natural teeth. It is easy to clean and looks very natural and I'm thrilled that I went with the full implant. The staff have been very nice and helpful. The office is very nice and well- organized. They have state-of-the-art techniques and equipment. I recommend Sipes Dental for anyone, but especially if you have avoided dental treatments due to fear of pain or because you have a lot of dental work than needs done. I want to thank Dr Sipes and his staff for changing my life. That may sound a little cliche, but that is truly what happened. I have struggled with bad teeth my whole life and was never really in a position to fix them. I had broken teeth and was not really able to eat properly. I was losing so much weight and having to overthink every day about what I could and couldn't eat. On top of that, there wasn't one day or one event that I had in my life, where I wasn't worried about the pictures being taken and posted. I was quite literally scared to smile and be happy because I didn't want there to ever be a picture floating around with my bad teeth. It's so embarrassing to have dental issues and know that is the first thing people probably notice about you. I was a little stressed going into the office because I had just had an appointment in Philly with a dentist who had a very drab office, but a nice Rolex. He tried to quote me 70k and at one point during the consult, asked me if I had ever done drugs which was the worst feeling. So fast forward to when I walked into Sipes Dental.....I was immediately impressed with the atmosphere. It's such a beautifully functioning setup with the nicest staff. Dr Sipes explained the entire process to me and answered every question I had. I was definitely nervous, but on the flip side, I felt so comfortable and trusting BECAUSE of how knowledgeable and confident and reassuring Dr. Sipes and his team are. His assistant, Kendall (I believe her name is) was amazing!! I had several appointments over a few months time and everything went exactly how they said it would. Any issues I may have had here or there were resolved easily at the next visit. (Like irritation from a stitch or something) The temporary teeth that were crafted for me were so beautiful, that I didn't think my permanent set could even BE any better, but they were. After three visits, I have left this practice. On my first visit the dentist did not introduce himself, never made eye contact. I had to ask the hygienist who that was. Had a tooth pulled, which took forever. His office manager is rude -- the customer is always right -- perception is reality. The girls behind the desk clueless. read more

I needed total lower teeth replacement after spending 20 years battling periodontal disease, loose teeth, and crooked bad looking teeth. United Health Care Insurance Co. affiliate, Compass, recommended Sipes for the York area and they were right on. I just finished my 2nd day with my new permanent, 5 screw implants and I am truly a happy man because I look good, can eat again without cringing, and they feel BETTER than my old teeth. I went in needing a filling fixed came out needing a root canal. After my cleaning Dr. Sipes came in and said everything looked fine but there was a crack in one of my fillings that he would like to fix. Thinking he knew best, I agreed and made the appointment for a week later. Following that appointment I started having terrible pain in that tooth, so I called and told him about it. I went in again and he said he may have disturbed the nerve when he did the drilling. He said it was a normal thing to happen but we should give it a few days to see if the nerve settles down. If it doesn't settle down I would need a root canal. Meanwhile, I'm still in pain and taking Aleve twice a day so I can function. Then I get a bill in the mail stating I owe $61.60 for the tooth he fixed because he used a Resin Composite for a back tooth. I just assumed they would use the silver since it was a back tooth and no one informed me that they no longer use silver fillings. I paid $10.80 at the initial visit and they are telling me I owe an additional $61.60 for this tooth now. I called again about the pain and ask how much this root canal would cost me because it was his mistake; they said it would cost around $270.00. I couldn't believe it. So now I am out $342.40 for a crack in my filling. Look elsewhere for your dental care. read more

I've was looking for a new dentist after having 2 bad experiences. I went 7 years without going to the dentist brcause those experience were so bad between both places. I heard about Sipes from and friend so I thought I'd give them a shot. I needed some fillings done which i expected given the length of time in between visits. The work he did was excellent. I couldnt feel anything and an hour later i had my theeth fixed, it was awesome. Everybody was was really friendly and seemed like they enjoyed there job. Dr. Sipes was really personable and easy to talk to about the issues with my teeth. I drive 45 minuets just to continue to go to there.
