Dr. Patel exudes an air of competence that I found very comforting and it made everything go so smoothly. I'm a high anxiety patient who is unreasonably terrified of dental work and I'm a jerk for not remembering the name of the Dental Assistant from my first visit, but her soothing and professional bedside manner kept me there feeling listened to and safe at my first visit and 'Cassie' was fantastic in the same role the day of the root canal. They treated me with such compassion and I am so appreciative. 'Jay' handled my cleaning and I can't say enough; I've never had a cleaning go better and she took the time to answer all of my questions and talked me through everything. She is a goddess. The front office staff has been judged very harshly in these reviews and I can only say that I found them to be helpful and accommodating. This is the practice you're looking for. You should call.

Like the selfish money hungry people they are, they scheduled 2 appointments one for the filing and one for the frenectomy. so I was given 2 estimated bills about 200$ a piece, Both bills also had charges for nitrous oxide. I was concerned about my child having nitrous used on her twice and asked why the filling and frenectomy were not being done together in 1 appointment . I was first told it wasn't possible. after I kept questioning the women on the phone she went to talk with Patel and came back saying they would "allow me" to merge the two appointments. (so kind of them to allow me to keep the money(about 200$) they tried to screw me out off, by making 2 appointments with nitrous instead of one.) on sept. 14th my daughter had her procedure . . .which was a horrific nightmare. I was charged 100$ for nitrous and while they put the mask on her face they never talked her through taking calming breathes. she was upset and crying and saying she could still feel where they had " already numbed" . . .both patel and the hygienist kept telling my daughter " No Reason To Cry" & they would show her the tools first, or explain first before they did anything, just so she would calm down or mover her hands from blocking her face. . but they never did explain or show her creating alot of fear an disturst for my 8 yr old. in the end they had another hygienist come in at the last second to abruptly hold my daughters arms down, at this point she was screaming in fear and pain as patel began to slide a laser tool back and forth on her frenulum. One day I left first thing in the morning for a routine check up upon receiving an automated reminder text that morning. Upon arrival, the receptionist told me my hygienist had called out sick. That's unfortunate, because everyone gets sick. But feeling frustrated, I was hoping for some acknowledgement of the inconvenience or a small accommodation (someone else to see me if I am willing to wait, or squeeze me in and reschedule me in the same week, etc). Nothing. The receptionist simply stared at me, waiting for me to dismiss myself. That was the last straw for me -- wasting an hour of driving and away from work was an excuse enough for me to end the long commute. Aside from this single incident and for me the long distance, I only have positive things to say. If you are within his service area, I would still highly recommend Dr. Capozzi and his team.

The office has all the latest technology and the actual clinical care during cleanings and basic procedures felt high quality. Unfortunately, their business model is where things completely fell apart for me. They do not perform root canals or other advanced procedures in-house due to partnerships within their dental network. What that means in practice is that if you need anything beyond basic work, you're referred out, and those referrals go straight to specialists who push additional appointments, expensive 3D scans, and tests that are often unnecessary. No one clearly explains that these extras may not be required, and you'll get calls saying you owe hundreds (or even thousands) of dollars for diagnostics your insurance won't cover. Additionally, I had several small areas being monitored by my previous dentist that did not require fillings yet. This office told me I needed multiple fillings and had already completed two before I started to question things. After switching to another dentist for a second opinion, I was told those areas did not need fillings at this time and could simply continue to be monitored, exactly as my prior dentist had been doing. The new dentist also evaluated the issue that supposedly required advanced scans and determined that since I had no pain or symptoms, no immediate treatment was necessary. They explained that if something changes, I can come directly into their office for a root canal that is covered by my insurance, without unnecessary add-ons. If you're looking for basic cleanings and routine care, this office may be fine. But if there's any chance you'll need more involved treatment, be very cautious and consider getting a second opinion before agreeing to additional procedures or costly referrals.

But I was thankful he retook the X-ray "for free" (not my fault they misplaced it though...) and did not lie about my filling so that was nice... mixed reviews on him -Nail in the coffin, my last appointment was 7/22 and i have not heard from them since (except to cancel a cleaning 1/23 because I decided not to continue with them...!) All of a sudden I get a collection notice in the mail saying I owe them money for my last cleaning.... I called to ask why I didn't get a bill or a call or anything. They claim they sent 8 bills before sending to collection but I did not get 1... Needless to say: proceed with caution.
