I probably have had maybe two sentences of conversation with the dentist over these years as he acts like it is painful to talk to you and he spends less than 5 minutes with the patients. The hygenists are friendly and they will admit that Dr. Sicher prefers for the staff to speak with and explain things to patients. The real pain comes with procedures that he rushes through without adequate analgesia and then again when you get the bill. They charge more for procedures than I have seen any dentist charge and you get maybe 1/3 of this back from insurance if you're lucky. They will not hesitate to cancel or reschedule you the day of an appointment and the office staff is not friendly, accommodating, or apologetic when they jerk you around with scheduling even after your child has taken off school for the visit. If you are looking for a personable practice, keep looking as we are doing now.

The card is a dental card that my employer provided me with two days ago. The girl took a look at the card and simply expressed that it was a medical insurance card rather than a dental card. I showed her that the card clearly says: dental card. When we proceeded with the dental cleaning the dental hygienist( Rany) just removed the tartar formation in my front teeth not the ones in the back, also polishing my teeth with a special paste or pumice to remove plaque and stains was a forgotten step which is needed to leave my teeth smooth and shiny, this step was forgotten or simply the hygienist was in a rush. Another step which I did not receive or was purposely forgotten due to poor professionalism or lack of knowledge was flossing between my teeth to remove remaining plaque or debris. 2 steps were forgotten and made me think about the professionalism of the staff working there and how they are going to manage to keep customers going to their practice. The poor procedure of removing tartar formation just from the front teeth and not from the rest, in addition to no flossing or polishing clients teeth, demonstrates a substandard kind of care that should not be given in the USA. Overall rating = substandard dental care, worst than mediocre.

Finding Mimosa Dentistry is like that same oncologist being like "nope - not cancer!" It takes a while to earn my trust but I've now been to Mimosa four times, including having some work done, and these guys are legit. I am more grateful to have landed with them than I can express. FYI - there are TWO Drs. Bui - they're brothers, both educated at UPenn. My favorite is Dr. Loc Bui (DMD), who is so humble he will tell you his brother is "the smart one" but who is so careful and gentle with my teeth and my panicky self. My husband sees his brother, Dr. Toan Bui (DDS), who my husband says is hilariously intense, but also very good. ("The most thorough cleaning I have ever had," to quote him.) It took my husband and I about six months to figure out there were two doctors here with the same name and we had some very confusing conversations about our "dentist" in the meantime. I called them immediately giving them 4.5 hours notice that I wouldn't be able to make my appointment. The lady on the phone was rude and informed me that they will charge a fee for cancelling. Out of all the years that I have been a patient, I NEVER canceled and I always payed my bill immediately. I am saddened by the way I, a long term patient, was treated. When I asked to reschedule she said "When", I said anytime next week...her reply "Nope" (she didn't even have time to look at the schedule)... I said ok how about the next week, she said "I guess", not giving me any possible dates or times....eventually I was able to reschedule. I am so upset about this......I have recommended this dentist to many family members and friends. I sure hope they don't get treated the same way......I will never recommend again. BTW: The Dentists are extremely nice and good at what they do.
